What do you think of the name Kenna for a girl? Is it totally horrible? Just brainstorming names to put on my list and I have had this name in the back of my head. I know it sounds like McKenna but w/o the Mc. We are staying away from M and S names b/c of DH's family has a lot of them and everybody gets names mixed up.
I have thought about Kendra. I like Kendall but the Kardashians ruined a lot of K names. Kendra reminds me of the old playboy bunny but I don't ever hear it maybe nobody else will think of it?

She's pretty irrelevant and FWIW a friend of mine has a 4 year old Kendra and has never once gotten a comment about Kendra Wilkinson

When I hear Kendra I think of the badass character on Buffy. I loved her. I really like Kendra. Kenna sounds like a nickname.
Not feeling this. It seems incomplete or like other PP said, a forever 3 year old. I think if I met an adult with this name I would probably ask what it was short for.
Not good. Like others have said, it's kind of an eternal kiddie name. And it sounds like it's missing something, like when people say "prolly" instead of "probably". Feels incomplete.
My friend has a Kenna. I didn't like the name at first but she named her after her father (Kenneth) who passed away when she was pregnant and the name has grown on me. For her, I love the connection. I don't see all the hate for this name, there are far worse names out there!

I agree that using the name to honor a family member like that is wonderful, but I don't believe there's any special connection with Kenna for the OP (as far as we know). I also don't think choosing a name because "there are far worse names out there" is really the best reasoning.
My first thought was that I don't love it...but then I realized that I know two Kenna's. And they are both unusually nice, wonderful people. So my answer is that if you love the name, go for it.
