@sjo_thetwins I'm sorry you're hearing less-than-helpful input from twin moms, and I'm sure you're right about the memory loss/denial/whatever you'd call that! A close friend of mine carried triplets and definitely had a rough pregnancy so I can ask her, if you're interested, what kind of multiples mom groups are out there? Sorry, I don't know why I didn't think of this before!
How much more tiring it is being pregnant with a toddler vs being pregnant at work (at least mine). I feel like all my complaints last time were so silly compared to this time.
@CopperBoom86 I have a fear of complications too. There's too many horror stories out there and sometimes I think I know way too much. Is there a possibility of being OVER prepared??

I mostly avoid birth announcement threads for this reason. Most of them totally freak me out.
Me, too, @MRSCORKER. And just how painful it is. Like...I don't know if we'll pursue another pregnancy after little guy is born because I've had such a difficult time with the CT.
It's brutal! I can't wait to feel the fingers on my left hand again!
Ditto!! Except I can't wait for the pain to stop and be able to open my hands fully! Any idea how long after pregnancy it goes back to normal?
No clue. My chiropractor said he's had patients who say it went away as soon as they delivered. My coworker said it took a couple of months for hers to go away completely.
yes to echo the whole "you can say anything to a pregnant woman" I understand people worry, but just because they've had ether GD or preeclampsia or whatever doesn't mean every pregnant person will get it so let me have my ice cream. CAN I LIVE?
OMG this!! My MIL had toxoplasmosis and is convinced I'm going to get it. Every little thing that happens results in her saying I need to be careful or I need to call the midwife. Hell if I did that they'd boot me in a heartbeat!
I agree with you all!! My main thing though is having a loss and worrying about everything little thing this pregnancy. It is hard to enjoy yourself when all you do is worry.
@nataliemaephotography@ibabyloveb87 my mom had a terrible pregnancy with me and started projecting that on to me from day one. The last thing you need to hear when pregnant are horror stories. That's what Google is for.
I wish someone told me that maternity jeans were a joke and a waste of money.... because being pregnant means not ever wanting to wear pants, especially the denim kind.
Here's one: with DS, I had assumed I'd suffered depression while pregnant with him due to our previous late term loss. While that certainly affected me (a lot) depression happened again this pregnancy, without warning.
Between pregnancies I definitely have a touch of anxiety, but not depression. Pregnancy really REALLY affects my brain chemistry in a bad way.
@NoraAurora Thanks, maybe the next one will have a different outcome! At least I would be prepared if not. Also I agree that it definitely affects brain chemistry.
Oh, also... I kinda wish someone had been upfront about pregnancy, especially late pregnancy, kind of sucking. You just here about how you'll glow and how beautiful it is but no one tells you you'll feel huge and gross and that everything chubs up, not just your belly. My nose has gotten wider, my whole face is chubbier, my ass is huge, I've just never felt more gross. There is zero glowing happening. I expected to feel uncomfortable but didn't think I'd feel like a water buffalo that fell out of the ugly tree. Lol

I wish someone would have told me that all that ice cream I've been consuming for months and was only making my bump grow would suddenly catch up to me at week 36 and I would turn into Honestly though, it wouldn't have stopped me from getting all that ice cream bc just saying the words makes me want to go get more bc we are out...
But seriously, I've been fairly good this pregnancy and still feel like that picture. I wish would I have just had the ice cream since I ended up huge anyway!
@mrscorker the struggle is REAL. I, too, have been pretty conscious of what I'm eating, and feeling guilty if I indulge too much, yet baby is measuring big. My first was 9 lbs, and I'm a small girl (5'8", but thin). So, who knows how big DS#2 is going to be...
I should have just said, "screw it" months ago and started eating all the sweets, all the time. I couldn't feel any more whale-ish than I do now - and I'm only 32 weeks!
