  • So hungry and pelvic pain!
  • Heartburn is back even though baby is head down! But otherwise all the usual annoyances! And my boobs are way bigger.
  • I'm with you all on the hungry. Yesterday I ate a big egg & cheese bagel and my stomach literally growled 15 minutes later still. I feel like a bottomless pit!
  • Had a bacon, egg and cheese on a bagel this morning around 7 and then I just had a bowl of lucky charms. I want to eat. all. the. time. Scared to get on the scale Thursday, I was doing so well with my weight gain too. Oh well.  :/

    IT'S A BOY!!!

  • @sportiegrl1213 salivating about your breakfast sandwich

Today I feel like I've been starving. I dont know what the deal is but its like every 2 hours I'm ravenous

  • Omg this morning all of a sudden, in addition to all the other stuff I already was experiencing....now, pitting edema! :# it is so weird and gross! @Ashleymn and @bnsmith85 I searched because I knew there was some talk of it before...is it like regular swelling that you just need to elevate and hydrate??
  • Exhausted all the time, nesting like crazy I've send more stuff to salvation army and down the garbage shoot than I have in my entire life.
Iron auppliment is making me feel horrible. Oh and the braxton hicks are getting painful
  • Ugh, my skin better go back to normal after this baby is out. I alternate between dry skin and tons of pimples. Yuck

If your swelling comes on fast and extreme (like makes you gain weight, extreme), you should maybe reach out to your doctor to make sure it's not pre-e.
If it's just slow and is now pitting, just elevate. Cold compress and compression socks will help. Nothing to really stress over, that I'm aware of... We had patients with pitting edema when I worked in healthcare and it was just noted, not something that was considered dangerous on its own

I notIced this yesterday :( still hoping to avoid it!
  • Thanks @bnsmith85! Yea the swelling has been happening gradually over the last few weeks and today was the first time I noticed pitting. My BP was a little high earlier (after my Mon. BF discovery) but is 111/70 now. I have an appt tomorrow so I'll just mention then unless it gets worse. Off to hydrate and elevate between organizing stuff and working on nursery wall decor!
  • Add me to the bottomless pit bandwagon. I had to wear real pants on Saturday (first time since June) and those pants were TIGHT! Guess I've started working on the "7 pounds of maternal fat stores"...
Also I just freaked out because DH asked if I want to send our dog to his parents' house next week while he's out of town (so I don't have to walk him). I was like that's not next week, it's the week after. No. It is definitely next week, which means I will be full term next week and I AM NOT READY FOR THAT!!

  • @mrszoess I feel like I need to hold the baby in every time I pee.  So much pressure!  And @f47, I do the same thing.  I know I'm going to feel sick if I eat too much, but I do it anyway.

So much pelvic pressure. BH like crazy. Nausea/acid reflux. Baby keeps bulging out of my right side that are really painful. I'm ready for this baby to arrive.

ETA: oh and on the eating front, I get uncomfortably full right away when eating because there's no space, and then i'm starving 20 minutes later.

  • +1 on pelvic pressure, BH are getting so strong sometimes I think I'm going into labor. The baby's kicks are starting to  get painful, I think I have a karate baby in there.

  • @BabySunshine4 I'm with you. There was a short period of time last night where I thought I might be in real labor.
  • Omg back ache and then the pressure is something else!! Earlier I had like these shooting pains down below that made me walk all funny an squirm, I honestly feel like this baby could come any minute... but then I know in reality it's just my body getting prepped for the big day and at 35+1 I could be in for a good wait yet!!
  • @ashleyp625 @orangeev Every morning the first thing I do is touch my belly button. It drives me crazy the idea of having an outie, its not a bag thing I know, but still I would like it to stay in.

Hip pain, or whatever, do you all ladies have issues on switching sides, everytime I have to get up an pee I feel like my legs are going to fell off my body, like an old Barbie doll, it really hurts, I have to move in slow mo....

I can't even put on my pants normally :(

  • Totally exhausted and Shrek feet! And I can't forget to mention the stabbing vagina pain when walking! I'm ready for the little man to come out soon!!

  • Everything hurts. My arms, legs, hips, bump...all of it.

Anyone else suffering from swollen gums? It feels like I'm teething. Add in heartburn anytime I THINK of eating or drinking anything, pelvic pressure and swollen feet and I'm winning from head to toe.
  • @sgrho2 I had wicked swollen gums around 20 weeks. It was painful, my dentist said to keep brushing and flossing. They eventually went back down!
  • excessive saliva. I drool and hack it al day.
  • Anyone else dealing with TMJ? In the last few days my jaw has been so tight and started clicking. Any other time I've had it I've taken muscle relaxers to help but they're not pregnancy safe. If it persists, I'll call my primary care this week but wanted to see if any of you awesome ladies had any tips.
  • Think I overdid it today and my back pain is worse than normal. Using the heating pad now.

Also I feel like the discharge has increased today. I'm a little worried it could be leaking because (TMI) it seems to come out a little squirt at a time??? It's not pee. Doctor in the morning anyway. I'm just afraid I'm going to miss something major.

  • @ibabyloveb87 - that would worry me too. But with an appt tomorrow, I wouldn't stress too much. Maybe put in a liner and see how much collects. If it's significant enough, call your doc. At a minimum, that could ease your mind
  • Yes, put a liner in! @ibabyloveb87

Hopefully, it's just pee! My OB gave me to litmus paper or whatever it is called so I can check at home if I feel like I'm leaking. I thought I for sure was a week ago and I wasn't.

  • @scostel2 I have one of those vibrating massagers (plug in) and use it on my face. It really helps a lot. The other stuff is pretty obvious - heat, rest, trying Tylenol in case it helps a tiny bit even though it usually does nothing for me...

  • My breast are leaking ALOT,.especially when i take off my bra to let the girls breathe.
BH are so bad, almost like labor pains.
Heartburn goes away for a few days then comes back with a vengeance.
Also, just in the last dew days, i feel its gotten significantly harder for me to move. Almost like my belly just had a growth spurt all of a sudden.
  • My feet hurt, they don't swell oddly but they freaking throb by the end of the day. Bending over is getting seriously brutal. Laundry, getting my kids dried off/out of the tub and unloading the dishwasher come to mind immediately of my most challenging obstacles of the day.

  • +1 on the leaky boobs train...

I find it wierd, though  (and I'm sure this would super be suited for TMI Tuesday tomorrow), that if I'm not wearing a bra, the leaking sort of crystallized? If that makes sense. I have to actually remove it.

Sorry if I missed this already being discussed somewhere - I did see a comment about a chiropractor's observations but not personal experience. For the BTDT moms who had carpal tunnel issues, did it go away as soon as you delivered or take time to get better? At this rate with it getting worse every week, I'm worried about safely holding LO when she's born  :'(

ETA - oops I finally found the thread about this from a couple months ago, idk why it wasn't showing up when I searched before (haha, my constant complaining about CT accounted for most of my search results)  :| but if anyone still feels inspired to answer I'd still appreciate it  :)
  • @UponAStar16 I have really bad wrist pain as well. It's been getting worse. But from what I read it's pregnancy related from retaining fluid and usually goes away soon after the baby is born. Here's hoping that's true. If not I'll be going to the Dr to get it checked and hopefully a cortisone shot to ease the pain. I don't want to do it now being still pregnant, as much as I'd like the pain to be subsided.  :/

  • So this is a new one for me but wtf is with the boob sweat in the middle of the night?? It's fine when I wake up in the morning, I'm not hot or anything. But when I wake up to pee, usually around 3-4am, my boobs are soaking wet! I mean not just a little sweaty, like I have to dry them off. So gross.
