It's September, it's raining and yucky outside, and this morning has been crappy for many reasons.
My confession is that I love the company that I work for. But because of my boss, I'm seriously considering quitting after the baby comes and I'm just trying to figure out how to work that right now. I'm so glad it's a 3-day weekend and next week is short.
@BumpasaurusRex that is so awesome! My older cousin had given me a bunch but I think my mom passed them on to someone else after I read them. If I'm having a girl totally going to get those and probably some Nancy Drew books and there was some other series that I loved when I was younger it was another mystery one that I think was actually better than Nancy Drew but for some reason I forgot the name of it.

I still have all my babysitters club books too... even the cardboard book ends that came with the club membership haha. I also kept my goosebumps books and turns out my kids will end up reading these... my son loves the goosebumps.
Last night husband and I took a window shopping trip to the mall so I can get some walking in. I decided to introduce him to Cinnabon (he's new to 'Murica) so we bought a box of 4 large cinnabons. Turns out, he doesn't like them! Guess what I'll be pigging out on during this weekend. Hehe.
@BumpasaurusRex no but I'll probably get some of those too! This one had a girl as the lead so it was similar to Nancy Drew but the girl went to a boarding school or something. I'll have to ask my other cousin b/c she and I were obsessed with these books.

@scifichick09 Haha! It's alright. More yummy food for me! My husband hasn't actually been exposed to other cuisines even though he lived in England for 6 years. He just always ate Indian food because that's all he knew. But he's slowly starting to like it. At the very beginning, he didn't like pizza! I was like WHAT?!! But I love pizza so I kept bringing it home for myself and now he appreciates a good Chicago style piece of pie!! It's all an acquired taste I guess. But don't worry, I'm working on him!
I kind of skipped the Sweet Valley High and the Babysitters' Club books, but I was all about Sweet Valley Jr High and the Babysitters' Little Sister. I donated all my Little Sister books several years ago because we just didn't have the space to keep them, but I found that the big used bookstore has them for $0.50 each! I got the first one to read to DD to see if she would even like and she loved it and immediately asked for us to start it again. I was one happy momma and she now has a small collection.
@Janefelicity hahaha! I actually joke with my husband when he says things like this "can I send you back to wherever you came from?" Lol. He knows I'm messing with him.
My fffc is that i have spent most of my afternoon lurking round the bump rather than do my pdr form which is already 2 months overdue & not one f**k is being given!
DH and I have our annual Labor Day cookout Sunday and I took a vacation day today to start cleaning... I managed to get up early with him and go get my car inspected (it was expired). Since then, the couch. Do my friends really care if there is dog hair everywhere? I just can't muster enough energy to care.
1. The company decided everyone would work at home today and close the office. Yay Hermine. No one is doing an ounce of work. The sucky business owner asks me to do some detailed testing, which requires all this back end setup, which I am perfectly capable of doing...but... he volunteered to do it and I'm 100% seeing this as payback for all the crap he's put me through in the past months. Enjoy actually working today!
2. I got chick-fil-a for lunch. When I pull out of my driveway, I realized that our front tree lost a branch into the road last night. I got my lunch first, then moved the branch out of the road after. Priorities.
@WinchesterGirl I had to scour the spreadsheet to see you're in Florida, was Hermine bad to you guys there? We are currently in South carolina and Hermine is wrecking our last days of vacay!! Everyone keeps checking on us but it seems like a normal rainy day to me lol
FFFC: apparently I auto mute my Mil like I do my kids because i guess today she was talking to me, but I was daydreaming out the window... she said what do you think and I said huh I didn't hear you lol I still don't know what she was talking about
@kswiger06 It really wasn't too bad. None of my family even lost power, and one limb that hit nothing (and small enough for me to move myself)... can't complain! Although around 3 AM the lightning was consistent enough that it woke me up from the brightness in our room.
If you give me like 6 hours I can tell you guys something no one except my husband and I and my closest friend will know for 4.5 months: the sex of my baby...
In the meantime, my life is dull as paint, though... sorrynotsorry.
I'm finally to the point where I want food and am craving certain things so I have already planned out my dinner for tonight at Chick Fil A and college football junk food for tomorrow. I can't wait to eat!!! Spicy chicken sandwich and waffle fries are calling my name.
@jstringfellow19 I am so jealous of your Chick Fil A, we don't have them here. When we lived in Georgia we had Chick Fil A and Zaxby's and I loved them both!
@AfKash My husband doesn't like sweets at all. So unless I want to eat the entire thing myself we never have any baked goods in the house.
FFFC: I may have eaten nearly an entire pan of brownies by myself last week.
I take immense pleasure that my maternity leave should be smack dab during next year's budgeting process. I should miss the majority of it... And I smile every time I think about the suckers who will be doing all the work without me.
I guess my confession is that while the timing sucked, I think the girl deserves to rant about her feelings . I may not agree with it and I may feel for the people who are dealing with worse more, but she's feeling the way she's feeling in this moment and was looking for a place to vent.
