I've already made a corn chowder and a chili and frozen them for later use.
I'll probably also make a zucchini or egg plant lasagna, several batches of taco meat, and some tortellini soup base (you add the tortellini when you heat it.)
And I'll for sure make 4 quiches, a big batch of frozen breakfast burritos and maybe some bagels or banana bread. Because cooking breakfast is harder for me than dinner and I like to have good food first thing in the morning.
Forgive me if this was already asked, but when are you all planning to start making these? My husband thinks I'm crazy for starting 6 weeks before my csection...
I plan on making my final batch between 32 and 34 weeks. I'll have a RCS between 37-39. I may still have some leftover from this last go around but we will see. All of mine have always stayed good at least 4 months, usually 6 months is fine. Only one got really freezer burnt and didn't reheat well out of the 40-50 I have made over the last year.
@gardengirl3 I will make mine 2-3 weeks before I expect E to arrive. For me that will be mid Oct. as my cerclage is coming out Nov. 2nd at the latest. Then they should be good until March, if they last that long.
