I gave birth to my first baby on oct 12 last year and now I am already 6 weeks pregnant with #2! any advice would be helpful since I am scared of what people will think of my getting pregnant this close

Congratulations!! I have to say I am so jealous of anyone pregnant, I really want another baby. I play the lottery every week in hope to give up work and get pregnant :-) if I don't scoop the jackpot, we will try to conceive at the end of the year.
I wouldn't worry about what other people think. Your life, your decision! It's no ones business how you want to create a family. Babies close in age should be great. Just enjoy it :-)

I'm pregnant again too! I had my son on Oct 7 and am 9 week today... am a bit scared but more excited! Just don't listen to what people have to say and relax.

I had my girls 14 months apart. No one said anything to me. It was/is challenging having them so close in age. The nice thing is the oldest will never remember being an only child, you are still in baby mode, and when they start interacting with one another it is the cutest thing! Try to keep the older ones schedule the same as possible

Don't worry at all what people think! It's your family - do as you please! People have kids way closer together.. My DS is 9 months old and I am 6 months pregnant with another baby boy... I couldn't be happier. But that's what works for us

All these lucky ladies! I've always seen pregnancy and children as a blessing that keeps on blessing. With new children comes many many blessings!

I would say one of the greatest gifts that came along with motherhood is that I have learned not to care about anyone else's thoughts and ideas about my life. It's so freeing, seeing as I used to really care about everything from my appearance to whether others approved and respected me. Becoming a mother has totally changing my priorities. One of the most wonderful things I have ever done in my life is to stop caring about others opinions.

Congratulations everyone! We hope to start trying in 6 months.

@Limie i guess I'm right there with you too! I just found out and am still in shock that I'll be having baby number two in April. I knew right away I was pregnant with baby number one. I felt the signs right away and was convinced. This one no way. My period was late that's the only reason I took the test. And I'm still in disbelief. 18 months apart... Oh boy!

@abbythebigdiehl girl yes! I could tell you the day my son was conceived but we weren't trying this time so I have no idea! 18 months but I bet they will be best friends! We're forced to buy a bigger car now. There is no way 2 car seats and my 10 year old ss can fit into my car.

Congrats! I kind of wish I was pregnant again but I'm an older mum and my pregnancy/labor was pretty rough..I feel like I'm still recovering in some ways. Most likely my baby will be an only child, that makes me a bit teary eyed. I'd love to do it over though I'd like one to be out of diapers first, that will be challenging ;-) Who cares what people think! That's the great thing about getting older you care less about what others think of you ! enjoy :-)

Hooray! I have joined the pregnant again club! Just found out and by my estimates I'll be due May 11. Definitely shocked as my periods have been so crazy since returning. So excited and totally terrified!

Thanks ladies! I am still totally in shock but over the moon excited. 2 under 2 is terrifying but I know I can handle it. It's so cool to think of my son being a big brother. I was an only child and I'm so excited to give him a sibling.

I am sad to say that my second pregnancy has come to an end. I'm thankful that all this baby knew was love and excitement and am even more thankful for my October 15 baby. He is busy and funny and seems to know exactly when I need a hug or kiss. I'm taking all the extra love that's grown over the past few weeks and directing it at him...

I had my son on Nov. 3 and it appears as if our family of three will become a family of 4 sometime at the end of June 2017! I stopped taking birth control at the tail end of September. We didn't expect it to happen this quickly but are extremely excited and fell very blessed. I suppose I can now join the June 2017 birth club!

Congrats!! I'm also part of the June 2017 club now (EDD of June 1), my DD arrived October 2015! There's quite a few of us on that BMB who had babies in Oct/Nov 2015

@Nicolesull89 are you in the April 17 birth group too? I am. I just gave birth April 8th to my daughter, Maggie. Big brother Luke loves her and has done amazingly well adjusting to life as a big brother, which I was so worried about!

I never did update again after our loss. We were so lucky to get pregnant again shortly after. I'm currently a few days shy of 28 weeks, with an EDD of July 18!

@WeddingNotes13 I am due in July as well. Due the 18th but have my everything crossed that this babe decided to show up a little early. My pregnancy with DS was a breeze compared to this one. This time around I puked my guts out until 24 weeks and it has made a violent come back over this last week. DS is crazy and so busy and it's getting really hard to keep up with him. I am still torn about wanting this baby out and tackling the newborn stage with a 20m old... but I'm sure it's just nerves. I can't wait to meet this LO and find out if we are team pink or blue! I'll be watching for your update on the July board but come update here too!

@MrsN092714 I thought that you may have been in both boards as well! Sorry to hear that this pregnancy has been more difficult. That is especially hard when trying to keep up with a toddler. You are getting so close to your due date!

My first pregnancy was the harder one. I was so relieved to have an easier time while chasing DS around. We took Aiden to the park today. He hardly cared about the slides and just wanted to run everywhere. This had me seriously rethinking what play activities that I will be able take him to myself soon after DD is born. I also got a lot more nervous about the newborn stage with our toddlers. We will figure it out though!
