I planned and facilitated a consultation last week that we'd been trying to get done for over a month. And it went well with no additional follow-up. Also, every time my son does anything I'm all like - OMG I MADE THAT! Last night it was him saying "potato" I seriously can't believe I gave birth to this amazing little being. It blows my mind every time I look at his round little head.
I am sitting in a lean process improvement weeklong seminar and i haven't nodded off yet! Let out a few serious yawns but at least I haven't passed out at my desk. Go me!
@slartybartfast I am so glad I'm not alone! That's how I am with my girls I just can't believe it!
@zubenescamali good job not falling asleep! That must be taking some serious effort.
@ajstevenson that's impressive! And terrible that the dog puked everywhere, but I'm impressed you were able to handle that! And the meme is hilarious:)
I interviewed a potential pediatrician for Ashton today, and I feel really good about it. I brought a list of questions to ask, and she answered them very thoroughly and happily. We talked about the balance of holistic medicine and traditional medicine, breastfeeding, social development, and a bunch of other stuff.
After we were done, she told me that she thinks I'm going to be a great mom. I said thank you and asked why, and she said that I am taking time to educate myself, ask questions, and look for a pediatrician before Ashton is even born. She said that around here, parents rarely look into it until their baby is born, and then it's harder to take the time to find a good fit.
I almost cried just because it gave me confidence. I'm not perfect, but I will be the perfect mom for my son.
I worked 12+ hours yesterday and didn't pass out! Was in the office before 7:30, stayed until 6:30 then worked in the hotel room until nearly 10! And I was up at 6:15 this morning ready to go again. I don't know how people work in an office. I miss my home office.
Oh, and I didn't cry yesterday because I miss DH and my dog so much (I probably miss the dog more, lol). Go me!

I've been feeling overwhelmed by how untidy my vegetable field is, so yesterday I went all out - mowing, weeding, pulling out dead plants. I was exhausted and sore at the end of the day but things look so much better.
Not me per se, but H. He has been working his tail off trying to get his CDL and a steady job. Yesterday he finally got his permit, and I just dropped him off at his new local®ional trucking job. I'm so proud of that guy!

I'm currently surviving a "vacation" to see my dying FIL, husband remodeling their basement to make an income apartment, 6 kids in a too small house with grouchy people, totally stressed out husband, energetic kids and it's so cramped here! We are sleeping in a queen bed and feel cramped... Basically cramped... Everything is cramped!!! Oh and my oldest got her period for the first time...
I showered, made dinner, did a load of laundry, and went grocery shopping today! Normally that's a good *week* for me, so needless to say I am tooting my horn today.
