10w2d and still getting sick.. throwing up when brushing my teeth ..after dinner headaches and no energy ..waiting on this second trimester ..
The throwing up while brushing your teeth thing is the absolute WORST! I have a timed toothbrush and I find myself praying the entire two minutes that I won't vom (which happens approximately 1/2 of the time *sigh*).
And YES on the headaches! They just started for me during week 10 and I've had them every day/night. They get worse every day, so after crying for an hour I finally gave in and took tylenol last night (I've been trying to avoid drugs in general)
At my quickie appt today I learned that I've lost almost 10 lbs in a couple of weeks. Yikes. Assuming the m/s comes back (it's MIA today), they want me to start Diclegis. Woo.
Ugh I am not getting sleep lately because I keep waking up 1-2 hours before my alarm goes off to go pee and I can't go back to sleep
SAME. I always look at the clock and think "please be midnight so I have 6 more hours" and its always 5 or 530...takes me that long to get back to sleep these days.
Got some labs back today and most everything was normal except my sodium was low. I found this ironic because basically all I eat are Saltine Crackers due to the MS. SALT IS IN THE NAME!
(for the record, I know the difference between iodized salt/sodium, etc. I just thought this was funny)
So nauseous.... and the heartburn has been waking me up the last few nights. Finally moved the bottle of Tums to my bedside table because my ridiculously fatigued self kept forgetting to do it and I had to drag my butt out of bed in the middle of the night and trip over the cat to get to my Tums.
The smell of fresh baked bread makes me gag. How is that even possible? That's like the best smell ever. At least, if I get past it then I can eat it just fine.
I dry heave for a few mins right when I get out of bed in the morning. Then I am just tired/queasy/feel like a was run over by a truck all day until about 5p when I usually puke again. Then I just feel generally awful until bedtime when my nose starts getting stuffed up and the headaches start. I can usually fall asleep ok but after I get up for the first time to pee I'm usually not soundly asleep after that. Last night I got up and slept on the couch because my DH had ONE beer with dinner and with my sensitive nose I felt like the entire bedroom smelled like a bar! Poor DH - he felt so bad this morning that I didn't wake him up!
I'm nibbling Saltines & water for breakfast today so I think I can officially join the MS club. Made it to Week 10 w/o it but today I went from "easy breezy" to "hella queasy". .
DUDE! Me too! I've been feeling awesome, some slight nausea here and there, and this week changing over to week 10 it was like BOOM nope you are gonna feel like puking every day! I have a feeling that I will not ever puke this pregnancy unless I make myself, that's just kind of how my body is. It will literally stay miserable until I force myself to vomit, which is not fun either, a miserable experience. Hope it lets up on you some!!
my doctor had given me a prescription for diclegis, I was afraid to take it at first but I've been so miserable and missing so much work that I tried it last night. I woke up for the first time in WEEKS not feeling nauseous or puking, and have been eating normally all day so far. Only thing is it make me SO groggy! and I only took one pill instead of the two prescribed! I slept so soundly though.. I guess we will see but I kept hearing it doesn't do much to help at all... not the case for me so far! Besides the extreme fatigue, it seems to be keeping the pukies away.
I've been on the Diclegis for weeks and I still feel like I'm gonna vom every day from 4:00pm till I go to sleep. I'm almost 11 weeks. Gotta be a light at the tunnel soon, right?
Ugh I am not getting sleep lately because I keep waking up 1-2 hours before my alarm goes off to go pee and I can't go back to sleep
Ugh, yes. This has gotten increasingly worse for me over the past week.
This may sound silly since I know everyone talks about it, but I really am shocked at how much I have to pee. I always thought that it happened later on in pregnancy, when the baby is pressing on your bladder. It wasn't until recently that I learned that our bodies are actually producing 25% more urine than usual from the very beginning. It's just a trip that I can stop drinking water hours before bed, completely empty my bladder, and then still wake up 5 hours later with a full bladder again, and practically have to run to the bathroom. I've fantasized about putting a child's potty next to my bed so I don't have to walk far...
I'm 11weeks and (hopefully not jinxing myself) am finally starting to feel better. Still a bit of tiredness, but MS not nearly as bad as if my was, sleeping more soundly even though I'm peeing a lot, and my appetite is back with a vengeance, haha. Starting to get headaches, but taking paracetamol, so that's making them manageable.
I'm 10w3d and symptoms are really letting up. Breast soreness (but not nipple soreness) is gone. Morning sickness is pretty much gone. Still have the fatigue and some light cramping. Also starting to get prominent veins on my breasts and belly, which I remember from last time. I recall my symptoms letting up around 10 weeks with DS, so I seem to be on schedule.
ETA: ....and I threw up this morning. So much for m/s being gone. Womp womp.
@MrsBinPA lol I hope it passes you over! Mine seem to come in waves of a few days then pass again, I've felt great yesterday and today. Take the no symptoms and live it up!
Anyone? I had a terrible terrible migraine again last night. I didn't take anything and thought I can sleep it off like last time..... Nope.... I woke up with a slightly lighter version of the same headache this seems to be a new thing with 12 weeks mark
@mrsyimster I hit 12 weeks today, and the headaches started up for me a few days ago. I haven't had a migraine yet, but I'm growing concerned it's just a matter of time.
@mrsyimster my headaches and migraines got a lot worse too, unfortunately. I have no solution and have tried every non-medicinal treatment out there. I've really combed the Internet--I'll try any old wives tale. But nothing really helps yet...
I've had headaches the past few days too. I've just attributed mine to not enough water in the heat and exhaustion from a toddler sleep regression. No miracle elixirs - but I hope all of you mamas fighting headaches can find some relief!
I'm 13w4d and threw up the first time this pregnancy, but it was after a car ride. I have a past history of car sickness, so I don't know if that has anything to do with it
Honestly, the best thing I've found for my headaches is cold compresses. But these are NOT migraines so I'm no help in that department.
I always fill an ice bag with water and ice cubes. Sometimes it's the only thing that helps. I feel like I'm freezing the headache out. I wonder sometimes if it's just the cold distracting me from the pain of the headache.
I have one of those nice gel face eye pads I got from ulta last year. I can put it in the freezer... Super amazing. Used it a few times. But couldn't find it last night I'm also thinking my headache is predicting weather!!!! Like rain is coming or a big storm is coming.... I must be crazy.....
Has anyone gotten the shakes in association w/MS? I'm feeling really shaky right now. It's a new sensation & I'm not enjoying it.
My hands get shaky if I don't eat enough or wait too long to eat. I asked my doc about it and she recommended that I eat small healthy snacks throughout the day to keep my blood sugar levels stable.
@MrsBinPA Don't worry, that was only one day! I have been feeling much better since then w/only passing queasiness. It's just that I only tend to complain on here when I'm feeling bad...as much as I'd like to check in on my good days with a "Hello Ladies, I'm feeling amazing today, no MS at all and I just walked 6 miles!", I fear virtual throat punches from the ladies having the real bad symptoms. Haha
I think it's great that you're feeling so well, and tbh I have more good days than bad. The odd MS day at least lets me know all is well in there so far.
