It just occurred to me that I have researched nothing about pumping/bottle feeding. I plan to breastfeed and stick to that exclusively at the start, and then after a few weeks start pumping so that DH can help out with feedings once in a while. So I've done zero research on sterilizing bottles, proper storage of milk, etc. It's just such a boring topic, but I guess I'd better get up to speed. Especially just in case breastfeeding doesn't work well early on and I have to supplement!
We had received bottles as shower gifts but didn't have a single one ready when we went to the hospital because our plan was what your plan is. But, sterilizing bottles turned out to be an excellent job for my parents while we were still in the hospital... And it got them out of my hospital room!
@midwestbaby being this is our second and we're team green we got a lot of diapers and wipes and a few other necessities! We really only need diapers for an August baby anyway! #teamnoclothes
Our baby lived in diapers and white t-shirts the first three weeks, and a swaddle. Now we've upgraded t-shirts to onesies. I have all these 3m clothes my warm-natured now 11 lb newborn will never wear!
@kwilliams3402 yeah baby boy has been mostly nude inside a swaddle since birth!
One night I was up with him around 3 am and I was cold, so I upgraded his t-shirt to a gown. A few hours later at the next feeding, he was very very toasty. Husband gave me such a hard time. Whoops!

I put a onesie on DS today purely to help catch spit up and help keep it out of his nooks and cranies!
