If it is an open thread that anyone can read, isn't the point to have a frank and honest discussion? Maybe there are grey areas; maybe there are different situations in different cases. If you're looking for a BAM: Yes/No = Science! answer, then great. But I don't see why we'd have to just shut down any other conversation about it.

Perhaps I'm more sensitive too, because after that, I felt AGAIN personally jumped on by another member questioning whether earlier ovulation can even result in viable pregnancy? It appears my body now has the opposite problem in ovulating to late which is giving me poor equality. Straight from my doctor's mouth less than 24 hours ago.
So how about you back up off the sensitive train because I was only curious and genuinely concerned. I do not participate enough on TTGP to be in the know on who is and is not having IF testing done and didn't know if this was the case for you. And I will not be mindful of how I phrased it because I didn't phrase it any such way that should have been construed in any manner than "that's kind of her to consider that on my behalf."

@Everycol0r "late ovulation = poor quality eggs" is a myth. DD was a CD 31 ovulation baby, and she is 100% perfect. I've never ovulated prior to CD 19, and it only took 3 cycles of good timing to conceive her, at 32 years old.
Let's just all agree that your body knows to ovulate at a time when eggs and ute are both fully prepared to support a pregnancy and move on. Sometimes your body is ready early and sometimes it's ready late. No biggie. As long as you are ovulating you have the ability to get pregnant, provided there are not other issues present. That is the bottom line.

At the time, I tried to take it in the best way possible and just answer your question the best I could, trying not to take it personally. And I also didn't tag you when the issue of being butthurt came up, because if it were your question alone, I'm sure it wouldn't have bothered me the way it did. I'm genuinely sorry that you got that news at your appointment. Really. I wish I knew what the crap was going on with my body, because we are already well into testing, and I still have no idea. I just know that in 15 months and however many cycles, we are still not pregnant.

And you're just like wow, respect. We all know that when we see it. And sometimes "knowledge" gets rubbed in people's faces. One approach draws people in like, yes, I must have more of this knowledge you possess. The other pushes people away like, FFS, Sorry I said anything.

But that's a different argument for a different day. And the statement of my egg quality degrading due to delayed ovulation is in regards to ME alone and MY personal history which you really don't know anything about. So to tell me it's a myth, very offensive.

I was only curious in a genuine fashion if it could lead to any issues because typically people only ever focus on "really long cycles" and not so much on really short ones.
