Baby Names

Naomi Natalie?

I think we are officially settling into the name Naomi for a first name. Now we're starting to consider middle names that could pair with it.

We like the name Natalie because of the meaning (born at Christmastime). Due date is 12/31.

Are two N names too much? Any other suggestions?

Sibset is: Eva Lillian and Violet Annalise.
DD #1 Eva- April 2011
DD #2 Violet- October 2013
DD#3 Due New Year's Eve 2016

Re: Naomi Natalie?

  • It sounds a little bit heavy to me........but it is fine if you love it.
  • I don't mind two N names but the Na beginning with both names and the Ee ending doesn't really roll off the tongue easily. That being said nothing is wrong with either name.

  • It is a little bit of a mouthful. I like PPs suggestion of Naomi Noelle. Noelle still means Christmas. :)

  • I am also in agreement with PPs, Naomi Natalie is a little much. Naomi Noelle is a great alternative.
  • I agree with several pp's. The problems isn't the two N names...its that the two you suggested are so similar to one another. Naomi Noelle (or Noel) is a great suggestion! Naomi Nicole has a similar sound too.

    Good luck!
  • Agree with suggestion of Naomi Noelle.

  • Very rarely do you use the entire name.  Go with what you like.
  • I don't like the alliteration
    Suggestions:

    Hope
    Joy
    Christine
    Gabrielle
    Lucy/Lucia
    Felicity
  • Another Christmas name is Emmanuelle.
  • I don't mind alliteration, but like PP said, it is a bit heavy for me.  Are there other MNs you would want to use?  I love love love Naomi!
  • I think it's fine. Middle names are so rarely used...at least in our house.
  • I'd use a different Christmas-themed name if that's what you're going for. Naomi Natalie and even Naomi Noelle seem a bit much.

    How about:
    Naomi Joy
    Naomi Gloria
    Naomi Grace
    Naomi Hope
    Naomi Holly
    Naomi Carol
    Naomi Bell
    Naomi Snow
    Naomi Eve
    Naomi Christina
    Naomi Emmanuelle
    Naomi Josephine
    Naomi Angela
    Naomi Hermione (means messenger)
    Naomi Pine
  • Thanks for your feedback, everyone! I already have three people I know named Noelle, so that's probably out... but am intrigued by the other Christmas-themed suggestions! Good food for thought.
