@Schell2013 I do the same thing with weekends, although I don't have much planned for weekends in September except our shower. Maybe I should start planning so it'll help pass the time!
@LauraPCOS I think that ALL THE TIME. I just remind myself that I'll have time growing with the baby and by then maybe I'll have a clue about this parenting thing. Here's hoping.
Had my Dr appt today and she confirmed baby is head down. She also confirmed that he is a big baby. Yikes. Ouch. She told me if he scores less than an 8 next week at his biophysical profile she'll keep me at the hospital and may induce. SHIT IS GETTING REAL OVER HERE!
@SpaceBurger maybe I'm in denial, but I think he'll score just fine on the biophysical profile and we'll be able to hold off on delivering him. I hope... fingers crossed. He's due 10/3, so not a late October baby, but he can keep baking for just a little longer lol! Next week is too soon!
@laurapcos when I was in my 20s, I wanted to skip birth through four and just have a baby at five so I knew they were potty trained. Lol. I admit I get a little anxious when my mom friends mention their child being a threenager.
Shit is feeling real because a lot of my anxiety is going down. I'm starting to feel like we have the basics and it will be okay now. Maybe it is because we have completed six baby different baby classes with only the cpr one to go on Monday. Biggest anxiety is now getting my work stuff together before baby.
I packed up my desk yesterday ready to train the new person covering my role.. Suddenly hit me that I'll be on mat leave in 3 weeks and then it's home and waiting for baby time!!
Reality hit since it's move-in weekend for our students, it seemed so far away... but it's here and that means about a month and a half left before little man should be joining us.
Confirmed with the Doctor this morning that they won't let me go past 41 weeks. We will be induced on the afternoon/evening of October 17 if he doesn't come before that. So we should have a baby by October 18. Ahhhh!

@Schell2013 Ours is ultra pasteurized - heated to a much higher temperature to kill bacteria - so it doesn't spoil as quickly. I think most organic milk is ultra pasteurized (because it's more expensive, so most grocers wouldn't sell it if they couldn't sell it before it went bad) as is most lactose free milk. I had never heard of it before I met my husband, but he's lactose intolerant, so we only buy lactose free milk.

I see, I am still surprised that milk can last that long, even pasteurized extra that's unreal! Almond milk lasts a crazy long time which is all I drink but it's not quite the same thing.

We went to our last childbirth class tonight. One of the couples wasn't there and the instructor told us it was because she delivered yesterday. She was due a week before me
@CopperBoom86 I was actually thinking quietly and I mean quietly to myself that I am surprised there hasn't been *hardly* any early births. Seems like my last BMB's had exploded by the time everyone was in the 30 weeks, there was a baby at least every week that came early. YAY for us though!

I still want to skip birth through 18 months. Esp now that I've had DS to give me baby PTSD
ETA: 34w4d and still not so real. Of course a large part of that is because before DD can get here, we still need to finish: installing shower installing toilet installing vanity installing storage paint & flooring of new bath plans approved for new bedroom move gen tran install bedroom lighting build freaking wall install 3 new windows replace bedroom electric make closet texture & paint flooring move into new bedroom paint old bedroom for DS move DS to old bedroom buy all the things for DS' new bedroom buy all the baby's new things.
yesterday at my apt Dr said baby is officially head down AND my apts are every two weeks now.
And my neighbor who I thought was due around the same time is me had her baby girl two days ago! (it's her 4th) and she's already up and at 'em. Doing housework and laundry (by hand) and everything. Blew my mind.
I had my last 2 week appointment yesterday. We talked about the actual delivery. *cue panic mode* Our baby shower and our infant care class is this weekend!
Show casing the baby mobile reminds me... Just moved Jimmy into his front facing toddler car seat yesterday and am replacing the newborn insert in his infant car seat for Johnny...

I've been thinking the same thing! Our bodies are all doing a really great job of keeping these babies in as long as possible!
That moment when you notice a clear shift in your google search history from pregnancy topics to newborn care.
So true!! I'm not googling minimizing pregnancy weight gain anymore and switched to postpartum weight loss plans. Instead of searching for maternity clothes, I'm looking for comfy leggings for postpartum. Mentally I'm finally starting to realize I won't be pregnant forever
@MKJeffrey2002, I found really good postpartum clothes at Old Navy. I didn't want to spend a lot since I'll only be wearing casual clothes until I go back to work but they had lots of cute tunic tops that will be cute with leggings and really forgiving.
In one week...a majority of us can say "I'm having a baby next month"
My DH has a job interview tomorrow. I told him to make sure he's able to get time off if he gets it. He said, "Oh I will. I'll tell them I have a baby due in about a month." And I stopped dead when he said that. Lol
Sorry I'm having a lot of SHIT JUST GOT REAL moments. LOL
I'm paying my bills for September and realize that these are the last bills I will pay with my normal paychecks because after this month, I wont have a normal paycheck until I go back to work from baby! Now I'm stressed, did we save enough? Will we be ok? Are we going to be homeless? LOL
Another moment I had was after our shower sunday, we got both car seats for the baby (we registered for two so DH and I each had one, I was actually really surprised we got both!). When we opened one, I made the comment, "Oh thank you! now we can actually bring the baby home when she gets here!"
Shit just got real today..... because I joined "Dressing the Bump - Maternity BST" on facebook. I'm gonna take pics of all my maternity stuff tonight, to put up on sale there in a few weeks.
