Okay, about 6 months ago we lost our little girl.. I was 23 weeks pregnant and I was a very high risk case because I was on birth control when we got pregnant. I had a d&c and that was that.. it was devastating and ever since I've felt this emptiness. Fast forward to about two weeks ago. My fiance and I didn't use a condom or take any precautions and he finished inside me. The next morning I woke up with cramping and back pains. I just figured it was from some really good sex. I brush it off and go to work. At work the cramping becomes more severe ans the back pain is horrid. My boss sent me home early so i could rest. On the way home i begin feeling light headed. I feel diffrent. I strt having mood swings and cravings, white discharge, headaches. My fiance cant even touch me right now im just so cranky. I sleep so much.. My period is kinda flaky sometimes but stays in a nice little range the 19-21. I still haven't gotten it. I have taken several home tests even homemade tests. We finally went to a pregnancy center and the test came back negative. But we started talking about the date in question, the 15th. It's only been a week.. I am so anxious and confused. Can you tell immediately after it happens? Are these symptoms I'm feeling a possibility of a rainbow baby??
Re: rainbow baby??..
It is especially hurtful to ask a bunch of still grieving women. This is a very close knit and supportive group of people. If you are willing to not just post for the one answer you want, they can help you if you are indeed actively trying.
It is scienticislly IMPOSSIBLE to be having pregnancy symptoms immediately after sex. An embryo doesn't even implant for 7-9 days after ovulation. The only thing that produces pregnancy symptoms is hcg. And to have enough in your system to cause issues, would definitely be enough to turn a test positive. 12 hours after sex, not going to do it. This is also under the assumption that you happened to have sex at the exact moment you were ovulating as well.
Please do not come into a place like TTCAL, unannounced and post these types of threads. it is incredibly hurtful to these women I consider my friends. All of them have been actively trying for many months after loss(es),under going invasive testing and IVF and emotionally cannot handle this.
As a loss mother yourself, you should know to be more considerate.

1. I'm sorry for your loss. I'm certain it has been devastating.
2. It is against TOU to ask internet strangers on The Bump if you are pregnant.
3. You are not pregnant today. To turn a test even at 10 DPO would be early. Seven DPO is pretty much unheard of. Test every 2-3 days with legit tests until you get a positive or your period.
4. If you do continue having symptoms that concern you, consult with your doctor.
5. If you do turn a test, we invite you to move on to your BMB. Congrats.
