Last week I had my NT scan, and from the get-go, I could tell something was wrong. Once the sonographer took about a zillion photos she said "well it's thick, so you'll meet with the doctor to learn what that means."
A few minutes later, my doctor came in and said I had extremely high ranking on the NT exam, and they were trying to get me in for a CVS ASAP. Luckily, their specialists were able to get me in about a half hour later, where they immediately did a CVS. Afterwards we chatted, but the prognosis doesn't appear good. You could just tell by the look in the doctor's eyes that they have little hope for good news. They gave me the percentages and what it most likely was, including a high possibility that the baby will not survive to term.
I was supposed to get the results on Monday, but there wasn't enough of a sample in the CVS they took. Luckily instead of going in for second one, they think they will be able to grow the cells in the lab. So now I should get the first round of results tomorrow, followed by more on Friday.
I'd appreciate any thoughts/prayers/good vibes/whatever positive thoughts you believe in. The next week or so is going to be a tough one as results roll in.

I'm so unbelievably nervous. For those of you who may have followed my story, I had a miscarriage last winter. This is not exactly how I had imagined my rainbow baby pregnancy to be.
