DH and I have been trying to be very realistic and reserved and not over-celebrate yet. USs have been reassuring to make sure there was a strong heartbeat and continued growth, but then we had our third US this week. We'd only seen our early USs (no movement and not much to see) and still images of others' USs and were told at 8 weeks our little bean would look like a gummy bear. We were not prepared to see movement on the screen and when she moved and all the little limb buds waved we totally lost it. I am teary just writing this.
@AandDM2014 I can relate to being cautiously optimistic and wanting to protect our hearts from disappointment. I hope you had a great US today. I'm looking forward to hearing updates as your pregnancy progresses.
@NurseTMD85 congrats on moving into 2nd trimester.
@chicandbubbly are there rules for when the weekly check-in needs to be posted? I'm on Pacific time. I'm almost 9 weeks, but I can do it until I graduate. What do I need to do?
@mrygoround I am on Pacific Time too. I don't think it matters when it is posted but I do it on Monday each week. Basically you just have to copy the post from previous week and then change the QOTW to whatever you want and then add any new people or updates. Pretty simple!

Update: Sonogram went well... The screen showed one large yolk sac, then another large yolk sac... then a third smaller one. All three have yolks with little beating hearts, the smaller of the three being the slowest one. Oh lordy. I know it's still way early, and anything could happen to any of them, but damn! For now I am pregnant with triplets. Wow. My brain is like......................

@AandDM2014 - if spice doesn't bother you, I would go for Mexican food - fajitas and lots of avocados/guacamole. I'm on a salmon, avocado, egg kick right now (not all together) and favorite snack is apple and almond butter - no carbs there! Oh...and I found a new brand of tortillas (Siete) that are made from almond flour or cassava and coconut (gluten free/paleo) and are delicious! So maybe they would work for you.

@AandDM2014 I only have one bean and hunger wakes me up at night so I can't even imagine what your body is demanding right now. If you have a high power blender, mixing frozen berries (and a banana or some dates for sweetness if that's not a no-no) with a handful of nuts and seeds and only as much water as needed is a great way to get calories and fiber in and the fat and protein makes me feel full longer. I also add some protein powder if I think I can handle the texture. Must be ice cold. Plus the nuts and seeds mix is great for baby brains.
@mrygoround That is an excellent suggestion! I love making smoothies but have never thought to add nuts. I think I'm also going to try eating within 30 minutes of when I go to bed. I'm sorry you're experiencing bad headaches. Hopefully your RE can help!

@rachnan - I was on generic estradiol patches and then switched to vivelle because of a horrible rash. My advice is never put them on the same place twice (or at least a week before you use a spot you've used before) but ultimately it was so bad, they moved me to oral estrace twice a day and vaginal estrace once a day and that seems to be working. I have 20 rectangles still on my belly (looked like burns but now starting to fade) and was thinking me and DH could play checkers on my abdomen if we had to continue. Last patches were over a week ago. Coconut oil helped with the itch after patches were removed. Then when they were really irritated I was using arnica gel and vitamin e oil. Good luck!

It sure looks like a good looking bump. My bump with my first LO never looked like a bump for awhile, since I'm fluffy to begin with. Which is somewhat a blessing for the workplace cause I was able to hide it for a really long time. Same with this one so far. I'm just nauseous all the time.

@NurseTMD85 - I completely agree with your decision to not do the amnio and CVS. I don't plan on doing those either. With how much effort it took us to get here, I'm not taking any risks and I'm going to love this kid no matter what.

@Happydays13 thanks for the response! I spoke to my RE today and she is putting me on oral Estrada instead of the patches! Now I have extra patches, but I can live with that!

4 IUIs (chlomid) in 2013 which resulted in DS born in April 2014
TTC #2 since August 2015
5 rounds of IUIs (1 chlomid: resistent, 1 femara, 3 gonal f) = all BFN
ER March 9: 26 eggs retrieved, 19 mature and 17 fertilized, 8 made it to genetic testing, 4 normal!
FET #1 5/31 = BFN
FET#2 7/26 = BFP!
