  • @SnobunnieMel I would actually think it would be worse the other way... One place is where the sperm start, but the other is where they end up. And I feel like it would be more likely to affect things on the receiving end. I always unfortunately put the stop on that during FW!

@rainbowturtles So actually it did kind of come true! It was only a tiny little bit but it's there. Things might be moving now.

@Marley629 DH is a big giants fan so football season is tense in our house!

  • @Dinosaur  Cool!  Look for the bigger packs of 600mg, just the guafenisen, not the other combo formulations, and do 600mg 2x per day for about 10 days over the course of fertile window.  For me, I start that at the same time I start my OPKs  (approx CD7-17) so it's it easier i.e. less to think about that way.  ;)  I may not go the whole ten days tho, if I have confirmed O and we are not worried about BD anymore.  Just depends how your cycle goes.

  • @rainbowturtles Thanks in advance! The ingredients are vitex, l-arginine, green tea, vitamin e, selenium, folic acid, iron, zinc, and b vitamins.

  • @KhRun17 I was pumped for the US marathon results too! Rupp is going to be really exciting to watch over the next couple of years! I actually just bought Shalane Flanagan's and Alice Kopecky's cookbook... I may or may not have bought it only because of Shalane...

@wabash15 queso and guacamole are sooo good... I kind of forgot about them when I was listing my game day food favorites... but I could easily eat an avocado a day!

@magnolia131I like your style... bumping incognito ;) I totally would do the same thing!
  • @Nelbetron - let me know how that cookbook is! I have the Runners Cookbook from Rodale/Runners World, and they have some great recipes in there. DH is skeptical of them, so when I do one from there, I have to do it without him seeing where it's from. Haha.

@SP128 - I frequently have temps around 96.7 pre-O, so I wouldn't worry about that. As for ED vs EOD, we tend to do EOD. We tried to do ED once we got a positive OPK, until I knew I had O'd, but DH got a little exhausted and it wasn't worth the stress. So I think we'll stick to EOD this cycle. You can find support for both. Do what works for you two.

  • @rainbowturtles I actually think I remember seeing 15 minutes somewhere too in the little pamphlet that comes with it. I think it may have said something like "some women choose to insert about 15 minutes before BD so it can be used as lubricant as well". So, maybe it takes 15 minutes or so to settle in??

@swanbrooner  Thanks so much.  I'm still pretty new at this and my head is spinning with all the information.  Thought hubby was going to have a break tonight - oh well he can be a team player : )  I may try to BD a couple days after suspected O day as well.... Just in case.  To think that in high school health class the teacher scared all of us into thinking that 1 time of unprotected sex can knock you up.  Technically yes, but still.....
Also getting annoyed with seeing this as a plot in SO MANY TV SHOWS!!!! They had sex ONCE, and she's totally KU. I know it really DOES "only take once" TECHNICALLY but ya, super irritating how magically simple Hollywood makes it out to be 99% of the time :/

@chocolatelemons I honestly swear it said something about not leaving it in too long before BDing because I remember stressing about it once a couple months ago but I got rid of the pamphlet. Does anyone still have the preseed info from the box?? On their website it says you can insert up to an hour before "love making" tho lol So I'm sure it's fine, just confused about what my brain is remembering!!!

@BitterBetty12 hooray for dreams come true ;)

@adirat I'll take a closer look at those ingredients on my next cleaning break lol I was expecting to see magnesium in there, because I know it can definitely cause some of the symptoms you described. But so far I would say give the straight Vitex a try; I was just trying to nail down the offensive ingredient for you

DH needs his brother's help to build a fence and said he'd have him come out either next weekend or the long weekend and I immediately said "THE LONG WEEKEND!". This weekend is FW :D He didn't ask why but he said okay so PHEW!

" Pre- seed Lubricant can be applied prior to starting intercourse. Inserting before allows the moisture to disperse through the V and offers more spontaneity. Many women apply about 15 minutes before intercourse." It also says, "Do not leave it in applicator more than 30 minutes prior to use." It doesn't say anything about the 1 hour rule. I think that came from the website.

  • @rainbowturtles I have the pamphlet.  I actually read it last night. Here are some of the directions.  I'm not going to type out all.  Let me know if I missed anything you want more info on.

"Pre-seed lubricant can be applied prior to starting intercourse.  Inserting it before intercourse allows the moisture to disperse throughout the vagina and offers more spontaneity.  Many women apply Pre-seed about 15 minutes before intercourse.

"  Do not store product in the applicator for more than 30 minutes prior to use......"

    - The directions explain how to use the applicator -

"If this application method doesn't provide enough moisture, we suggest you apply product inside the vagina while lying down in bed, IMMEDIATELY before intercourse.  You may also want to squeeze a small amount of the product from the tube onto your fingertips and apply directly to external genitalia."

"If this application method provides too much moisture for you, apply the product either earlier before intercourse (e.g., up to an hour), apply fewer grams of the product (1-2 g) or wipe off the vulvar area with a tissues after applying the produce inside the vagina."

  • @rainbowturtles Thanks! There is magnesium in it -- I missed it when I was typing out ingredients before. I took the plain vitex this morning, but I'm not sure if I want to take it again tomorrow. I've also been wondering if I'm having some kind of reaction to pre-seed, which I just started last week. I'm going to stay away from that for a while, I think.

I broke my own cardinal rule of not starting multiple things at once because I was so sure that preseed couldn't do anything harmful. Sigh.

  • @adirat ah ha! I suspect it's the magnesium causing some of the problems, then ;) As for the preseed giving you a reaction, that totally sucks :( I tend to be pretty sensitive to stuff down there and so does DH but thankfully we've been okay with it. I hear you on wanting to only change one thing per cycle, tho, but I agree that you'd think preseed would have been pretty innocuous :/
  • @rainbowturtles Thank you! I really appreciate the insights.

  • Welcome @Cait32 and like @BusinessWife said, by no means feel obligated to reply to everyone but I just wanted to give you another option ...I don't use my laptop much so the way I do it is to read the posts on my iPad and reply on my iPhone as I go :) Hoping O holds off until DH gets home!!

@Marley629 Love Yanks / Giants! I swear, I'm back luck for FB players though. I bought a Cruz jersey, repeated injuries. DH bought me a Wilson jersey, he got hurt and retired. At the end of last season, a friend gave me his new OBJ jersey that was too small for him.... :|
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*
