Christmas!! We all meet at my dads house, make breakfast and then open presents
CD: 7. FW to commence soon!
WAYDTGKU: temping, pnv, opks soon, cm, cp, preseed when needed
R/R: posting from the car on the drive to Charleston! Rant: forgot to temp this morning because I packed my mabis. Figured it's better to miss one day than forget to bring it with me!
CS/Q: nothing today.
GTKY: This hasn't been asked in a while, and it's one of my favorites! What is your favorite tradition (family, holiday, something you do with friends, etc). I really like our Christmas tradition. We go to my parents on Xmas eve, open presents and have dinner with my brothers and nieces. It's really the one time we have gotten back home since we moved away.

I love love LOVE traditions!!! Hard to pick just one, but I will go with a newer one we have been doing. Every year in December, about 2 weeks before Christmas we spend a long weekend out at Disney with DHs family. We usually see the Candlelight processional and drink hot cocoa, totally preps us for the holiday season and just fun family time without all the chaos.
CD: 14
WAYDTGKU: RRLT, PNV, Coq10, BBT, HIO EOD, will start everyday and OPKs when EWCM shows up!
R/R: DH is working all weekend. I've decided that today I will clean and then decorate our house for fall. And take a trip to the mall to buy an amazing fall candle DH wouldn't let me buy two weeks ago! So it should be a good day.
CS/Q: None. Though my temp this morning was identical to yesterday's and I don't like that. You better not be crapping out on me, Mabis!
GTKY: This hasn't been asked in a while, and it's one of my favorites! What is your favorite tradition (family, holiday, something you do with friends, etc).
Christmas Eve every year we all open pajamas at my moms! And then we put them on, hang our stockings, and read The night before Christmas (because I'm basically a child still)! It's my absolute favorite thing ever. Even as an adult. I told her she's never allowed to stop. And that if/when I have kids she's just going to have to bring the tradition to my house.

R/R: My work has had an audit that is heavily focused on my job this last week, and my boss told me yesterday that it came back with no findings! This looks really good for my annual review coming up!
CS/Q: none today
GTKY: This is going to sound crazy, but every year at Thanksgiving I steal my mom's Christmas stocking and hide it until Christmas. I've started taking it home with me and hanging it up with ours. It's become a huge family thing now, everyone trying to find mom's stocking. Lol. I do always return it full of goodies on Christmas morning!

R/R: I think I have O'ed or will O today based on past cycles, OPKs, and my chart. DH is out of town until tomorrow, but he put some "money in the bank" (his new term for HIO) before he left yesterday. Also, I just want to bump all weekend and catch up, which I plan to in between paper writing sessions. I've been so busy this week. I feel like I don't know what's going on with everyone! Also, sorry about that Megabeast who earned everyone TOU violations and got a beloved poster banned.

GTKY: A big group of girlfriends and I have a girls night every few times a year and regularly celebrate Galentine's Day together. I highly recommend making time for just you and your ladies!
We typically have a giant slumber party at someone's house with lots of food, even more booze, karaoke, and old school board games (Girl Talk, Sweet Valley High, etc.). Last year, we started a new tradition of taking early 90s style Glamour Shots at one of the Girls Night parties. We even ordered desktop calendars from Vistaprint. I'm actually this month's calendar girl!

WAYDTGKU: charting, temping, opks, preseed
R/R: Nada mucho. Gonna go into work today and finish getting crap ready. It feels good to be productive, but I'm sad summer is coming to an end.
CS/Q: Sooo - IDK what's up with my temps and what I should do. If someone could CS for me it would be helpful. Yesterday, I woke up one hour early and had a coughing fit before I tempd. My temp was high. This morning, I woke up at 3:30 (I usually temp at 5), thought about temping, but didn't think I had been asleep for 3 full hours so I fell back asleep. Tempd at 5 - it was high -97.86 Went back to bed - woke up at 7:30, laid in bed, played on my phone, then tempd again - it was LOWER than my 5 o clock temp - 97.2 Which one should I use? Either? Neither? I'm usually all for not throwing out temps - but this seems weird to me. Shouldn't my 7:30 temp be higher?
Anyways, if it's legit high today, then I probably O'd 2 days ago. I could wait and see what's happening tomorrow...? We should probably BD tonight too just to be safe though.
GTKY: This hasn't been asked in a while, and it's one of my favorites! What is your favorite tradition (family, holiday, something you do with friends, etc).
Eh - I don't mind traditions, but I don't really care for them either. I especially hate them when they're used as an excuse to do something. LIke, you can't do that thing you want to do - because this other thing is 'tradition'. Idk why but it bothers me.(I've run into that with my IL's a few times..)
My family doesn't really have traditions - it was KIND of a tradition to go to the casinos on Xmas, but... we didn't do that last year, hallelujah. Other than that, I don't really think we have any... My IL's have a ton lol.
ETA: I can't count.

We all (My extended family) meet at my grandparents house and cook together, open presents, and catch up. It is so great to see everyone.
@pretzel2plus1 Yay! Congrats, that is such a good feeling, hopefully it reflects extremely well in your annual review!
@hezzer78 Looks like O on CD23 to me. CD21 is also possible with a CD23 2dpo fallback rise -- normally I wouldn't assume that except your +OPK is on CD20.
@SnobunnieMel Ugh, clomid! Good luck getting rid of those side effects for a better weekend ahead.

R/R: We have to go to dinner with DH's family tonight and it's giving me a lot of anxiety. Then I am trying to destress because stress could delay O. Which is its own feedback loop. Sigh.

WAYDTGKU: DH is gonna get lucky tonight. Last night I took my first dose of Luvena to help restore my PH balance. I might pick up some preseed as well. Watching my period calendar, not currently charting because I get a little bit obsessive and stressed out.

GTKY: This hasn't been asked in a while, and it's one of my favorites! What is your favorite tradition (family, holiday, something you do with friends, etc). We have a monthly bingo on the 2nd Tuesday of the month. *Sad* It started when my mom was terminal with cancer. It is mainly to keep the love of my mom and bingo going on on both sides of my family. Since I live 2.5 hours away, I don't get to go very often but there is a facebook group they post photos and they do an ornament exchange in December every year. One year, an ornament no one brought showed up. My moms favorite part of Christmas was the ornaments so we only thought that was a sign from her.

WAYDTGKU: vitamins/supplements (PNV, CoQ10, B6, Vitamin D, Zinc, Metformin), diet/exercise, RRL, temping, CM/CP, OPKs.
R/R: It's cleaning day in my house today. I also got my car serviced and my phone fixed this morning, so the day is off to a productive start. Not much else to say. My cycle is long...and boring. Hoping FW begins soon (if this cycle mimics last cycle, then it should be next week).
CS/Q:
GTKY: We always have big formal Christmas Eve dinner...my parents used to host it and now we do. The guest list has grown to about 12-15 people so our house is always fully decorated and I have so much fun picking out table settings/menu planning. We always pass around funny greeting/holiday cards at the dinner, and then before bed the immediate family always reads the Night Before Christmas and watches Christmas Vacation (no judgement please, it's hilarious). My late grandfather used to go to bed at 8:30 every day of his life and wake up at 5, but on Christmas Eve he would always stay up until midnight if needed and watch every minute of that movie because he found it so funny, even when he was 90 years old and had seen it 20 times. It always makes me think of him. The next day is for presents and seeing extended family, but honestly for me Christmas Eve takes the cake.
@slam1110 I love the candlelight processional!
@pretzel2plus1 Congrats on your audit. I know it's a good feeling to be done with those.
@laurad75 The Turkey Trot (5k where we are, although I'm sure it's a commonly used name) is a newly adopted tradition for DH and I. We only do it every other Thanksgiving because we alternate between celebrating with his family and mine (in different cities), but I love it. It also makes me feel a little better about indulging in all of my favorite foods that day.
@swanbrooner I love your Galentine's Day tradition. All of my girlfriends have moved out of town and I miss having a core group of people to do stuff like that with regularly. GL with your capstone/paper writing. I am finishing my state certification online right now for education (the program is only 12 classes in total plus fieldwork, so not too bad) but hope to go for my masters next. I know it will be a huge accomplishment/relief when you're done.
@SnobunnieMel Ugh, Clomid headaches are terrible. I was always so dizzy/lightheaded. They did go away for me within the week after my last dose, however. The hot flashes only happened for me when I was taking the pill but fortunately didn't continue after. I know everyone is different but hopefully you'll be back to your normal self soon. And 50-60 people is a huge gathering! As someone from a big family, I think it sounds like a blast.
I hope everyone has a wonderful Saturday!
@pretzel2plus1 - Awesome!!! Glad to hear everything went well with the audit!
@swanbrooner - OMG, I love your tradition. I would love to do the same thing with my Aunts and Cousins! I may have to suggest this soonish!

WAYDTGKU:
R/R: My temp. went up by .3 today like I hoped. Hoping it goes up more tomorrow.
CS/Q: On CD24, my temp increased by just 1.8 from CD23, but I had no CM on CD24. Is it possible that O occurred on CD 23 if my temp. continues to increase going forward?
GTKY: I love Christmas Eve with my family. There’s always around 20- 30 people there and we do a gift swap, eat lots of great food and just enjoy each other’s company.
laurad75 I run every Thanksgiving too. We usually do the Manchester Road Race which has an enormous hill at the beginning and tons of people. Last year, we did one local to where H and I live and it was so much nicer. Flat the whole course- that’s my kind of race.

R/R: slept like crap last night fir no good reason. Boo.
CS/Q: lots of EWCM the past few days and suuuuper bloated this morning...I should be moving to the TWW shortly I think.
GTKY: This hasn't been asked in a while, and it's one of my favorites! What is your favorite tradition (family, holiday, something you do with friends, etc). Don't know if it counts as tradition since we just started it last year, but the day after Thanksgiving we brought DD to the Christmas tree farm to get our tree and have her picture taken with Santa. We plan to make it a tradition so I guess it counts!

WAYDTGKU: OPKs, BBT, CM checking, PNVs, CoQ10, water
R/R: I got my new OPKs today and they don't expire until November 2017 so I'm thrilled! CM is EW although not a lot. As I've mentioned, H cut me off until the FW in the hopes that abstaining for so long (while still jerking off) would make it easier for him to have sex multiple days in a row (and finish). So now the pressure is on me to figure out when to start HIO. I could wait until the positive OPK, but I'll miss the earlier fertile days. But once is really all it takes and I'd like to hit O day this time and don't want to burn him out. And I'm way overthinking this. C'mon, Ute, can't you be predictable?
CS/Q: Nope.
GTKY: This hasn't been asked in a while, and it's one of my favorites! What is your favorite tradition (family, holiday, something you do with friends, etc).
I'm also in the "don't continue traditions just because it's a tradition without ever considering other factors" camp, which really pisses off my parents, but as long as it's reasonable I'll participate. I'm also trying to break away from my parents' traditions so H and I can make our own, e.g., I like to do Christmas Eve at our house with just the two of us and exchange presents, since we spend christmas day at my parents' house.

<b>CD</b>: 6
<b>WAYDTGKU</b>: All the things plus DH's SA on Tuesday, baseline folli u/s Monday and f/u scan Thursday, saline sono Tuesday and Adrenal stress saliva test whenever that comes back from the lab. Progesterone increased to 200mg. Holding Ovaboost during FW. Starting CBADv OPK's either tomorrow or Monday...
<b>R/R</b>: Totally have stretchy clear CM already, even though AF is barely out the door, and the Saline Sono scheduled Tuesday which is CD9 already. Trying not to be anxious about that, since I have recently O'd on CD11 and CD12, telling myself hey, the saline could be the thing that flushes out my ute/tubes and makes all the other crap irrelevant. So trying to let go the whole tming thing, since wecan't BD till Tuesday AM for DH's SA anyway, and then the saline later that morning is going to flush out anything that WERE there anyway, so hopefully we can BD again Tuesday PM and still manage decent timing even if I get another early O. Aaaahh!!!
<b>CS/Q</b>: Does anyone know if they will potentially do an endo biopsy during the SHG, or only during hysteroscopy?
<b>GTKY</b>: DH and I are starting to cultivate some of our own traditions... A couple years ago I prepped a couple quiches Xmas Eve so when we were up opening presents the next day, we could just easily warm up the quiche and still have a special "fancy" breakfast/brunch around the tree without having to have all the fuss of being stuck in the kitchen. ;) But we didn't do that last year cos with no kids the whole present thing was more low-key. We did manage however to get his dad/stepmom on board for doing a big seafood thing at their house for Xmas Eve! We are half Italian on his side, so I think it was fun for his step mom to get into the whole 7 fishes thing. ;) Hope we can keep that up! My mom also had a thing where we got to open one or two small presents on Xmas Eve, so that's nice, like something small but special like jewelry or a nice book to read or something like that. But mostly for the holidays it was certain foods we made like borshcht, stuffed cabbage, perogies, kielbasa and saurkraut etc. plus the roast and all the other things. We never really had huge gatherings at our house, like always under 20 ppl let's say, but there was always enough food to feed an actual ARMY and by the time we are hosting holidays, I never want anyone to say they left our house hungry!!!
My husband's family is Italian and I love the feast of seven fishes! Yum!
CD: 17
WAYDTGKU: sex, preseed, temping, checking cm/cp
R/R: Just waiting on temps to confirm O. I couldn't sleep last night and was up at 5am worrying about all the critiques my boss is going to give the project I'm working on. I have trouble not taking things personally so it's challenging not to see feedback as a criticism of me as a person. It's something I need to get way better about as a working professional but it sucks that my anxiety about it impacted my sleep.
CS/Q:
GTKY: This hasn't been asked in a while, and it's one of my favorites! What is your favorite tradition (family, holiday, something you do with friends, etc).
For the past 6 NYE or so, we've gone out with an (ever changing) group of couple friends to party together and it's awesome. The past two years I've cooked us a big meal before we go out. I'm hoping to have to sit out this year for the best reason ever!
Apparently there are a few Glamour Shots studios in existence, but they do those boudoir style shoots and regular head shots now.
There's conflicting info about expired ovulation tests on the Internet, but they might be worth using in conjunction with Wondfos since, you know, they are free and all. I just prefer the regular CB Digis over the advanced.
EDIT: claimed!
It's so confusing but the SHG is the saline one where they use ultrasound vs. the HSG which is with contrast dye and x-ray <b>https://www.wvfc.com/hsg-and-shg.html</b> So what I'm having is the SHG which is WAY cheaper to have it performed by the same doctor who my regular doctor wanted to do the HSG, and hopefully he should still be able to see that the tubes are open or "at least one tube is open" as he put it... :/ Hopefully he will get nice clear pictures and maybe we won't end up needing the HSG afterall! But thanks, it's going to be a busy week for sure! The endo biopsy would be if they are talking about endometritis, which can be multi-organism, I'm all, "why wouldn't you to a culture and FIND OUT if that's what's going on? If so what organism, and therefore which antibiotic to prescribe!?" So ya. Can you tell I am a doctor's kid? lol
@meilay I'm so sorry you were tossing and turning.. that is The Worst. When I am getting like that, I try to say the serenity prayer and remind myself that - right here, right now, in this moment, in my bed, and at 2 o'clock in the morning, I cannot DO ANYTHING about whatever it is I'm worrying about. I ask for the grace to let it go and DO what it is I'm supposed to be doing right now, which is getting some rest, and that includes resting my mind. I know it's hard too, but there was a time for like TWO YEARS my mantra was, "It's not about me." Like when people flip out or overreact, that's on them - there may be something I did that is valid to critique but A. their OVERREACTION is NOT ABOUT ME (not saying your boss overreacted, but sometimes people do), and B. If they have a valid point about my work, something I said, the way I handled a situation etc. that is SO NOT ABOUT *ME*. A criticism of something I have done is a gift - it means someone values ME enough to hold me up to a higher standard, to set the bar high enough that if I didn't quite get there, it is really a COMPLIMENT TO ME AS A PERSON that they know I can do better. It can be so hard not to take it personally, but when I learned to see it that way - totally flip it on its head - that made it a lot easier.
RANT:
<div class=" Spoiler">I remember listening to this interview with DH in the car one day, and this guy who is a black author and economics professor said, one of the best things that ever happened to him as a student, as a scholar, and as a young black male, was this teacher flunked him on his exam. Outright F. Of course he was hurt and his ego was bruised terribly. But he wasn't the only one who failed either. In talking with the professor, he explained to him, you can do better than this, and A+ work is what I expect from you. Holy crap! Not to get into a whole thing, and of course you know me, I hope you won't take any of this the wrong way. It's always a delicate subject and makes it difficult to speak honestly and openly about anything that remotely touches on issues dealing with race in this country.</div><div class=" Spoiler">
But as a teacher, that was one of the things that just pissed me off so much about, "no child left behind." it's really more like, "every child pushed on through," and to me it's insulting and it's racist. It's saying to these kids, "you know what, it's okay, it's not your fault you can't perform as well as the other kids, here you go, here's your passing grade." NO. To me, that is not okay. To me it just smacks of the kind of systemic racism and, "plantationization of the ghetto," that is keeping those youth trapped in their socioeconomic cubbyhole. That's great the school gives a kid a HS diploma, but if they graduate but they still can't compose a basic 5-paragraph essay about... their cat, a dog, America, ANYTHING!? Then we're doing all those kids a gross disservice. At it's core, that's saying, "it's okay, you get a pass because we really don't EXPECT you to be able to do better than that."</div>
I'm sorry that just turned into a whole rant there! lol But YKWIM? I feel like honest constructive criticism is actually one of the MOST LOVING THINGS we can give to a student/employee etc. Dunno if that makes it any easier to sleep at night though... (((hugs))) <3 And again, please forgive me if any of that came across poorly.

WAYDTGKU: We're going to try Pre-Seed this month.
R/R: Sucks to be on CD1
CS/Q: None.
GTKY: We don't really have any traditions.
Month/Cycle: 2/3 TTCAL
CD: 4
WAYDTGKU: BBT, PNV, DHA, Maca, green tea, Feminine Balance Tea, OPKs starting CD10, going to try really hard to use preseed esp. if my CM is lacking again this cycle, track CM/CP likely tomorrow, HIO until DH leaves again
R/R: DH has a pretty unpredictable work schedule. I kind of wish he was OOT this mon-fri instead of next mon-fri but that's not the case lol It still should give okay timing if I O "on time" and if I can push for Monday morning BD but that will be two cycles that the closest we can get to O is -1 timing....but that's still good, right? And again, that's a whole lot of "ifs" lol (if I O when I think I might, if I can get morning BD etc lol). Hoping preseed and somehow subtley convincing DH to avoid oral will increase the chances, at least. And then, you know, trying not to stress about it haha
CS/Q: no thank you!
GTKY: I had a bit of a rough upbringing but I did like our Christmas Eve tradition which was to have "fancy appy" type foods....crackers, cheese, pickles, smoked oysters, stuff like that...and to open one gift. Also my mom and I would put together a "wifesaver" breakfast that you just throw in the oven Christmas morning.
BUT now I'm very into making our own traditions because, as mentioned, my family can be kind of awful----example: I always come to open presents with my nieces and nephew at my brother's/mom's place but this past Christmas they told me what time to get there and then as I was about to leave my mom texted me that my brother let them open the presents already. So I basically cried Christmas morning
What was lovely, tho, was that DH and I had BIL over for Christmas Eve and we did the appy thing on a huge scale....salmon sashimi, oysters, pâté, crackers, pickles of all kinds, cheese platter, etc and my "famous" peanut brittle and cookies and fudge ...and of course booze. We listened to Christmas music all day (I LOVE Christmas music haha), watched Christmas movies, and then opened presents later that night. I think we're doing that again this year and I'm looking forward to it
eta: sorry for cd1 @Dinosaur
