@rmarble23 can you remind me what your first beta was? I'm sorry you know how I feel
sounds like your jumping in right away on your next cycle? Hope my doc let's me do that too.

I am happy to report that the transfer today went very smoothly! The embryo thawed 100% perfectly. We transferred one 5-day 3AA blast. We had a lot of waiting leading up to the procedure (3 hours!), but I stayed nice and calm and positive with peaceful music and reading through 31 Days of Prayer for Infertility, which has been a huge source of comfort for me over the past week. My husband was there through it all, so that helped a lot, too! After really struggling through the first part of this cycle, I am finally feeling hopeful, optimistic, and at peace. Beta will be next Friday, 8/26.
Thanks to all who sent good wishes. Congrats on your transfer today, @Colleen0516 - those are 3 beautiful embryos! And FX for a successful upcoming cycle, @wifeinraleigh28 ! I have all of you in my prayers tonight.

@APM_SLP i had a 10 for beta #1 my hope is that i can go right after this period but knowing how things go it will be another cycle before we start so either way i think it might be october for a transfer either way i go
@APM_SLP - so sorry you are stuck in this limbo. We are here for you!
@rmarble23 - sad that this wasn't your cycle , but I'm glad you have frosties and a plan! Would you choose to go through another fresh cycle? My RE, DH, and I had this debate for a while. We only had 2 PGS normal embryos period, and ultimately want 2 kids, so I was worried that if this transfer was successful, but with only one, we would be looking at another fresh cycle with my even older ovaries (40 at that point). So I'm kind of hoping both stuck this round...

@APM_SLP I'm so sorry to hear about your limbo. I definitely do see your perspective on knowing ahead of time from the HPT. I know the wait until Friday will be a long one, but be good to yourself! And yay for 4 PGS embroyos left!
@rmarble23 I hope the doctor is able to provide some direction and guidance. I hear you, it seems like we are definitely in a holding pattern these days.
AFM- I'm still waiting to get back to zero. My first beta was 11, the second was 6.5, so I have to go tomorrow to make sure it's back to zero. My doctor is on vacation, so I am in limbo until she gets back. My DH and I sent off blood work to have a karyotype done (genetic mapping of the chromosomes). Because of our age (37), and the fact that our first two transfers of two awesome graded embryos lead to CP, they are making sure that there's not any missing chromosomes/translocation . Assuming there's not, our next step is to go through another retrieval and do PGS. It seems like a whole lot of hurry up and wait, but I know the goal is worth it!
Me: 37. DH:37 Trying to conceive since May 2015 Diagnosis: MFI- told to go straight to IVF Egg retrieval: late January 2016- 7 embryos on ice FET #1: April 27- transferred 2- BFN- (beta 4, CP) FET #2- July 27- transferred 2- Beta August 8
@wifeinraleigh28 congrats on getting your dates!! September 16th sounds like a perfect day for a transfer!!
@APM_SLP terrible to be in limbo, but I thought that as long as the number increases by 60% it's a good sign? I don't have much experience, but why is that not the case for you? I know you were thinking it was a chemical pregnancy but if that's the case wouldn't the HCG would've gone down or is that not how it works?
@Colleen0516 Congrats on the transfer!! I am loving that picture! Those look like some amazing embabies!!!
@rmarble23 Really really sorry about this cycle, and hoping your doctor has some positive things to say today about how soon you can get going again!
Got Beta #2 back yesterday and it was 293 (up from 101 on Monday) so it looks like it's more official now!!! It's just so crazy to already know that if this all works out we are going to have a little baby boy!!!

@rmarble23 So terribly sorry that this wasn't your cycle. That is a tough decision about whether to do a fresh cycle next or continue transferring frosties. I hope you're able to come to a decision that you and DH both feel comfortable with!
@APM_SLP Sending you all the positive vibes in the world. I can't imagine how hard these couple days are for you. *hugs*
@Colleen0516 Congrats on being PUPO! Beautiful 3 little embabies! When is your beta?
@BlueEyedDreamer Congrats to you as well on being PUPO! I sure hope this is your cycle!!!
@shauna43 Congrats on those positive betas! I guess you'll be going in next for your first sono?
@kk4564 and @SanBL - When are your betas? I want to make sure we have those dates in our spreadsheet so we can remember to check in with you ladies!
GOOD LUCK with beta today @lesteach!!! I know you've already tested positive at home. Excited to hear your results!
Question to the ladies who have unfortunately been through negative betas... did you have to work the day that you received news? I'm trying to be proactive and decide if I should plan on taking my beta day off work, just in case it's BFN since I know I would be a hot mess. But at the same time, I wonder if work would provide a good distraction. I know that everyone is different, but I would still love to hear your thoughts on this.

@wifeinraleigh28 luckily I'm off for the summer so when I got my BFN I was home anyways. But I immediately broke down crying and would not have wanted to be at work. I'll be back to work for my next beta and I've decided I'm just not taking my phone with me that day. DH and I will listen to the message together when we both get home.
TTC #1 since August 2013 Unexplained/ Endo Medicated IUIs # 1-3 BFN IVF #1- BFN FET #1- BFP; Ectopic pregnancy found at 7wks FET #2- February 2017 BFP Beta #1- 119 (8dp5dt) Beta #2- 475 (12dp5dt)
@RVloution - a little boy would be so exciting! since you guys already know the sex, will you be telling people that it's a boy right away? or are you planning on waiting till around the time most people find out via ultrasounds, etc? Just curious as to what people plan to do, in case we get to that decision at some point...
@RVloution the doubling is the important part, but by 9dp5dt it should have risen enough at this point that it should be much higher than 20. A super low number indicates that's it's probably not doubling and more likely starting to decrease. Plus, I took the HPTs and the line went from very light (but seeable) to non existent. That means my hcg is dropping. I have heard of someone having a healthy pregnancy with an HCG of 30 9dp5dt, so it is possible. But I'm pretty sure my situation is different.
@wifeinraleigh28 I took the day off of work (I'm lucky enough to only work T-F so I just switched my days around this week). I would definitely not want to take that call at work! @lilmissslp I love your idea of listening to the message at home. Talk about willpower!!
Me: 35 DH: 36 Me: 1, possibly 2, blocked tubes DH: severe MFI Married and TTC since 2/15 Started stims 7/21/16, ER 8/2 --> 17 eggs, 5 blasts after PGS testing. TWINS!! EDD: 9/21 (8/31 with twin adjustment)
@lilmissslp Great idea to listen to the message together. I unfortunately need my phone with me if I'm working because my personal phone also has my google voice on it, which I use for work. Ugh. If I saw that Carolina Conceptions was calling I don't think I would be strong enough to let it go to vm and then not check it until I got home! @APM_SLP I only work 4 days a week as well, usually M-Th. Since my beta will be on a Monday (if all goes according to plan) maybe I'll just shift my schedule to T-F that week....
I have never been through a beta before, since my clinic doesn't do them for IUIs unless you get a + at home, so this is going to be new territory for me!
In other news, not that it's a big deal or anything, but today was "fill my meds for FET" day. I dropped off 3 prescriptions at Walgreens, called another pharmacy for the patches to numb my skin for the PIO (I forget what they're called), and called Freedom to fill my PIO. Here's hoping this is the last time I need to deal with fertility meds for awhile!

@wifeinraleigh28 and @APM_SLP I don't know if I'd call it willpower, it's more like survival mode. If it's another BFN, I know I can't be at work when I get it. Last time I couldn't do anything and I kept looking at my phone every two seconds. I think it'll help to just not have my phone there at all so it's not an option. However, it's a couple weeks away so I may change my mind LOL.

@wifeinraleigh28 Do share what those patches are called!! I am pretty scared of the PIO shots. If all goes well this week, I start them next Saturday! I would love some kind of magic numbing patch!
@lilmissslp You have some awesome will power! If you can hold off I think it will be worth it to get to listen together! If all goes as planned, my office has my beta scheduled for a Saturday so thankfully I am off. Good luck!
@bells52000 and @caseyw8784 I just looked it up! They are called Synera, which is topical lidocaine. My clinic just included those with all the prescriptions they gave me, but for some reason they have to be filled by a separate pharmacy from everything else!
So..I officially called the clinic and l let them know that we are going to continue to move forward with the new cycle right now. Yesterday while looking at my insurance information I dug a little deeper and saw we do have some coverage to take on another Fresh Cycle! This is very exciting news as it would have been very hard to take an additional financial burden like that on right now with all the vehicle issues...I spent the day yesterday going back and forth on whether or not I want to wait a month so we can pay some obligations and try and catch up on the cars but ultimately my heart told me to just keep going and that life's troubles will always be here so if I wait then I will be waiting forever for life's trouble to leave and we have been trying for our family before all these other factors so I can't let them stop us. DH said he just wants my pain to be over and the visits to the dr to be over so he doesn't care when we start trying again. He's easy in that sense at times but then it puts all the decision making on me, and I can be indecisive sometimes..Anyway, let me stop rambling.
@rmarble23 and @APM_SLP I am so heartbroken and so very sorry for you ladies. It must be so hard being in limbo. @rmarble23 I am glad that everyone is ready for you to move right in to another cycle. I hope this can be the case for you too APM_SLP
@wifeinraleigh28 You are just so very organized, I love it!! I am so glad you have all your dates booked and I can't wait to hear you updates as we go along!! I will say for both of my betas I was working on beta day. It is/was hard but it was nice to be distracted. It just sucked when the news came in. I decided to let the calls go to voicemail than to speak to someone directly but they failed to really tell me the BFN in voicemail so I ended up having to call back both times to get the confirmed info. Of course I broke down both times but in the bathroom so I would try to hold it together and hide behind my computer until 5:00 came, then I cried my whole hour long drive home. @lilmissslp I don't care what you say that is will power!! haha I think I want to try that tactic this time. I hope you get your BFP this cycle!!

@Happydays13 thats pretty much the reason it was mentioned doing another fresh cycle to bank eggs for the future, i am 30 but i dont want to end up in a place where there is nothing left of good quality. i decided to go forward with FET rather than another fresh as i have my sisters wedding in a couple weeks and dont want to have to worry about injections. i am able to put both embryos in for this next cycle so thats what i would like to do.. DH is worried about multiples, i would love twins and i have been open about that all along of course my nurse had to mention the chances of both splitting and making 4 babies. DH keeps saying 1 is plenty but i couldn't live with myself if we didn't try for two. @wifeinraleigh28 i have been at work for all beta calls, the girls i work with all knew the calls were coming so they were anxious with me and they kept me distracted and even after they were not good news they kept my mine occupied and supported me. they have helped me a great deal with keeping things focused and then when i get home i have the me time to process and let my mind wander and the emotions come out. i dont think i could sit at home al day waiting for a phone call that would change my life especially since i know that my clinic wont call until 2:30 the earliest that would make a really long day. so now we wait for AF which i feel is coming any min and then another 3-4 week authorization wait for insurance to start FET
@gatorlorit we did karyotype testing before our second round. me being a bit of science nerd thought this was the coolest thing haha. it took like 4 weeks to come back though. i hope you get normal results.
congrats @RVloution crazy that you already know the gender! one definite perk of having them pgs tested
@wifeinraleigh28 the first time I was off work (shift worker) that day which was lucky cos I sobbed like a baby as soon as I heard. this time I took time off for the whole process so that I could be relaxed and not have to worry about swapping my shifts around for appointments. also, yay for med filling day!!
@Joslynj11 yay for insurance coverage! it's so good you're getting straight back into it. I didn't do that last time and I almost regret it but tbh I personally needed time off to get my head in the right place.
@rmarble23 good luck with this FET, I hope AF comes soon so that you can start up again. FX this FET is the one for you.

@rmarble23 and @APM_SLP, I'm so sorry to hear your updates. Good luck with your next cycles and lots of baby dust onto both of you!
@bells52000 those PIO shots are not that bad. I usually put ice on the incision spot for a few seconds and believe it or not, to me that hurts more than the actual shot. even without the ice.

Awesome @teriulbricht. Just wonderful news! @Colleen0516 I would do the same thing! Whatever it takes! @Joslynj11 thank goodness for your insurance! Good luck moving ahead! @wifeinraleigh28 thank you! I read up on the link and it says the patch hurts like a bandage coming off. I am the biggest baby taking off band aids! Even with my blood draw, I always ask them not to put a bandaid on because it hurts more than the needle getting the tape off! I did ice for 15 mins when I stimmed and 15 after! Shots were fine except one which sent me through the roof. Nurse said I hit a nerve! Ouch!
AFM I had my ET on Monday, everything went well at the end. I live in Louisiana, so with the flooding this weekend it was stressful! I got scared in the morning when my nurse called me to tell me the embryologist was stuck 30 min away and all the main roads were closed!! It really felt like a nightmare!! But at the end we got lucky, our house didn't get water and the transfer went great!

@Colleen0516 I wouldn't worry about the walking. I've actually read a few things that say that walking after the transfer is better because it increases the blood flow to your uterus. Who knows?! Everything says something different. I think they'll either stick or they won't. And I'm hoping in your case they are very sticky!

@lilmissslp I heard that too, I'm just overthinking everything lol
@wifeinraleigh28 my beta is on Friday 8/26! And no worries! I'm impressed that you keep track of all these ladies. I'm lost when I come back and there are 11 new posts, so I give you major credit! And thank you, because I love he chart.
Many one think 8/26 is early for beta for me?? Transfer on 8/17, so I would be 9dp3dt on beta day.
@lesteach my husband and I talk names all the time. It's an obsession of mine lol we know our girl name... Hannah Rae....and we like several other girl names; Ava, Mia, Lillianna (Lily), Arianna, Hayleigh. So if we have twins then we have some debating to do bc we don't 100% agree on a second name. Boys: He loves Brayden.... I like it too. I love Greyson; It means son of Gregory and that's my husbands name. I also like Alexander and Ethan. But we recently both came across Parker and both really like that. So we will see. We're not as concrete on any name other than Hannah Rae. What about you?!?

7/16 attempt to retest inconclusive - didn't survive thaw
8/16 transfer day 8/1: 2 5AB hatching blasts, beta 8/10 = 250!!, beta #2 8/12 = 572, ultrasound on 8/24...TWINS!

@rmarble23 I hope the doctor is able to provide some direction and guidance. I hear you, it seems like we are definitely in a holding pattern these days.
@colleen0516 @blueeyeddreamer Love the pictures! Hope the TWW speeds by!
Trying to conceive since May 2015
Diagnosis: MFI- told to go straight to IVF
Egg retrieval: late January 2016- 7 embryos on ice
FET #1: April 27- transferred 2- BFN- (beta 4, CP)

Beta August 8
@shauna43 Congrats on your second beta!!!
Got Beta #2 back yesterday and it was 293 (up from 101 on Monday) so it looks like it's more official now!!! It's just so crazy to already know that if this all works out we are going to have a little baby boy!!!

I hope you get your BFP this cycle!!

i decided to go forward with FET rather than another fresh as i have my sisters wedding in a couple weeks and dont want to have to worry about injections. i am able to put both embryos in for this next cycle so thats what i would like to do.. DH is worried about multiples, i would love twins and i have been open about that all along of course my nurse had to mention the chances of both splitting and making 4 babies. DH keeps saying 1 is plenty but i couldn't live with myself if we didn't try for two.
@wifeinraleigh28 i have been at work for all beta calls, the girls i work with all knew the calls were coming so they were anxious with me and they kept me distracted and even after they were not good news they kept my mine occupied and supported me. they have helped me a great deal with keeping things focused and then when i get home i have the me time to process and let my mind wander and the emotions come out. i dont think i could sit at home al day waiting for a phone call that would change my life especially since i know that my clinic wont call until 2:30 the earliest that would make a really long day.
so now we wait for AF which i feel is coming any min and then another 3-4 week authorization wait for insurance to start FET
congrats @RVloution crazy that you already know the gender! one definite perk of having them pgs tested

@bells52000 those PIO shots are not that bad. I usually put ice on the incision spot for a few seconds and believe it or not, to me that hurts more than the actual shot. even without the ice.

@teriulbricht congratulations!!!!! So exciting!!
AFM: I took it easy today but feel like I was walking a lot. I KNOW it won't make the embryos not stick but I'm so aware of everything I do.
Soooo I'm currently laying on the couch with two pillows under my butt so that my hips are elevated! Lol so pathetic!
My doctor said said Friday and Saturday are the days they would implant if they do! FX!

Ouch!
IVF: ER 7/16 40 follies, 23 eggs, 19 mature,
12 fert w/icsi, 6 blasts, 3 PGS norm, 1 unknown.
FET: 9/1/16 transferred 1 CP beta 5.9
FET 2: 11/15/16 transferred 1 CP again!

Congrats @teriulbricht !!
Beta will be on the 25th, but I will certainly POAS before!!
Good luck to everyone!!
@SanBL that must have been stressful. So glad it worked out and that your house is ok.
