I don't know if this qualifies as an UO but I think others will agree that summer can go now...
The great state of Alaska has gifted me with the first feelings of that "fall crispness" and I'm overly excited to bust out the fall clothing (after I drop kid), get my football on and pumpkin spice lattes!! YUM! (Yes, I know... My husband already calls me a walking meme!)
@CRich15 - Definitely popular on this board.. but not with my coworkers. They get mad when I get excited that August is going quickly... c'mon people, look at me, watch my ankles jiggle with every step, PITY ME! I need Fall. Also, we live in Maine - it is GORGEOUS in the Fall, it's time.
@CRich15 Ugh, I so agree and am definitely jealous of your Alaskan early fall. Alabama won't get cool until at least mid-October, and I miss my northern seasons! I'm definitely not build to handle this southern heat, even without pregnancy hormones!
@CRich15 I know the feeling. This is the first summer that I've been excited for fall, because A) obviously, baby will be here around that time! and this heat is killing me. It's somewhat more bearable now that I'm not working, but I still find myself excited for that crisp smell in the air and cozy sweaters.
@Jabreen That's crazy that Alabama doesn't cool down until mid-October and we will have snow on the ground by then. We definitely trick-or-treat in freezing temps and snow! It's wonderful (sarcasm) We are looking to moving to the Carolinas due to my son's treatment being cut up here.
@CRich15 I lived in Canada until I was 8, so I definitely remember a couple Halloween costumes being planned around a snow suit! But yeah, the heat here is nuts. The Carolinas get better temperatures from the closeness to the ocean (depending on where in the state of course), but still much warmer than AK! I hope it works out so you can keep doing all the best for your son!
You CRAY. I love coconut, everything... *cue Forrest Gump Shrimp moment here* I also Love Fall. it has always been my favorite. Also having my basic girl moment since we are getting close to PSL season. LMAO.
Gasp! Coconut is one of my favorites! It's a rare occasion when I don't have at least one bag of coconut flakes or coconut based cookies in the house. I stir those suckers into ice cream, Greek yogurt, chocolate chip cookies... @kimmy717 You open a Bubba Gump style coconut restaurant and I'm your 1st customer!
@Jabreen & @Kimmy717, I think coconut shrimp needs to be first thing on the menu! Which reminds me, I actually love coconut shrimp. It's coconut flakes on desserts & sweet things I just can't handle.
@ElcaB LOL, I guess that leads to my UO - I HATE shrimp! Even coconut can't save it for me. You can have the coconut shrimp, and I'll have the macaroons
I put coconut on everythaaaaaang. I love it so much but definitely know that it's a pretty polarizing flavor-- I'm always careful about bringing coconut desserts to potlucks/gatherings since I know a lot of people absolutely hate it!
I don't like Costco. It's probably the pregnancy and associated aches and pains but I'm done with them. It's filled with people who don't know how to steer their oversized carts, who stop the flow of things to sample, the crazy lines, and the parking sucks. Used to be that if you went right when they opened it was manageable but, nope, not anymore. I've told DH I'm not going anywhere near that place until I'm at least several months PP. Costco, your deals aren't worth the hassle anymore.
@ajn092 I normally love Costco, but you're right it's awful when pregnant! I have to go one more time before baby to buy underwear and leggings and I'm dreading it. Maybe I'll sucker dh into going for me if he can handle buying me underwear lol
@Jabreen yes!!! with you 100% on the shrimp thing. the only item i can stand with shrimp is sushi... and i think its because its such a tiny piece. now keeping on the sushi theme, which i am dying to eat again... UO: (maybe) I HATE cream cheese in my sushi rolls!!! i love cream cheese and sushi but just not together.
@ElcaB you can have all the coco shrimp. ill dedicate it to you LOL
This comes up from week to week, but I really think that it should be better known/recognized that: 37-38w6d is early term 39 - 41w6d is full term, and anything beyond 42 weeks is postterm.
Yes, it's wonderful that the majority of babies born at 37 weeks will be just fine on the outside, but there is still a decent amount of development going on that doesn't need to be rushed. I look at the poster at my OB's office that compares a 35 week brain and a 39/40 week brain every time I go in.
I have been VERY lucky to have 2 uneventual pregnancies so far. Emmett stayed put until 41w3d... I got tired of the waiting game, but in the grand scheme the extra 10 days didn't hurt me one bit and he came out when ready. I get that we want to fast forward time to 40 weeks, but wanting babies to come at 37 weeks rubs me the wrong way
@Steephers123 to avoid Costco it might be worth telling him to splurge on a pre-baby present for himself...in addition to picking up the stuff you need
@Steephers123 Costco underwear are my favorite! I'm not sure I'd trust H to get the right ones... I finally got a size up two weeks ago and it changed my world. Squeezing this pregnant bottom into my regular undies for so long was crazy. If you have the flexibility, Costco at say 10am on Tuesday is the best. No lines or crowds.
Cream cheese on sushi is sacrilegious; coconut is nasty - the consistency is like fingernail clippings to me!
My UO is that I hate beaches. I really don't like anything about them. The sand gets EVERYWHERE, it's hot, there are bugs. It's a pain! Also, I burn really easily, so I don't enjoy sitting in the sun. My husband and I went to the Dominican republic for our honeymoon, and we went to the beach 2x only. For about 20 mins each time lol.

I LOVE coconut but cannot stand coconut-flavored anything, it tastes so fake. I do real coconut and coconut flakes, that's it. Coconut drinks (unless in the Caribbean or such), desserts and sweets are not yummy to me. It's an overwhelming fake flavor.
I am sooo ready for fall especially since it's a heat wave here, around 100 degrees the next three days...
I also love coconut everything! And my UO is that I HATE celery. Like I despise it, the taste and especially the texture. I'll only eat it if it's been cooked down in a soup.
Oh I also hate coconut. The texture is unbearable. I do however like coconut flavored things and especially things that smell like coconut (candles, scentsy, etc)
my UO for the day is I can't stand any type of sea food. No fish, lobster, crab, sushi, nothing. The rest of my family and my boys love it all but i just can't even!!

Same! Anything that looks like it might walk off my plate is not for me!
@CRich15 im like 0.00000456 seconds away from subscribing to amazon subs. I have a sams club less than one mile from my work and always tell myself ill go after working, yah nope. Never happens... The thought of the people milling around, blocking all the aisles, the self check out, receipt nazis and parking all make me die inside. So amazon subscriptions are more then likely going to be happening in this house very soon!
@Kimmy717 It is literally the best decision I've ever made. It's so easy to use and they have every product I use and then some. So far we are subscribed to toilet paper, paper towels, laundry/dishwasher detergent, trash bags, diapers and Clorox wipes. You save 20% on diaper subscriptions and they always seem to have coupons on the various other items as well. Best part is it comes right to my door and if I don't need that item when it's due, I just push it to the follow month's shipment. I just couldn't justify spending $100 a year for Amazon Prime and another $100 a SAMs Club membership that I barely used and always bought dumb shit with.
@CRich15 you are so right. Ive been debating amazon subscriptions for like 3 months... We have prime because i order from amazon all the time and love the prime video, since we do not have cable. Im gonna bite the bullet and subscribe soon. It will be a lifesaver. I didnt mind going to sams and my work pays for our membership but all the things i described in my previous post just ruin it for me anymore. Oh and the fact that they DO NOT accept Visa credit cards...wtf!!? Dumb Sams Club.

I feel the same way you do!
My brother's wife complained during both her pregnancies and told everyone how there was no way she was going 40 weeks or even 39. Her first child came out at 38 weeks with no complications and the second one was so small and stopped growing they had to induce at 37 weeks, he had no complications either thank goodness but he was very small. She kept overworking herself during the pregnancy too She is a doctor and is finishing her residency to become an OBGYN too, so you would think she would know better.
I think maybe because on the bump we have so many moms that you often see babies (on any BMB) born at 37 or 38 weeks that it feels more normal?

My UO = Coconut desserts are super gross. I love the smell of coconut & I love Malibu rum, but desserts with coconut flakes...I can't even.
