I don't like/want a home doppler. My best friend got PGAL same as me & got one for her peace of mind (she loved it!). All I picture is me trying to find the HB, not finding it, then calling up my OB hysterical only to look like an idiot when they say they found the heartbeat when I go in. I'd prefer to just wait until I can feel the baby kicking and call it good.

@Gretchypoo I'm one TP roll away from storming out of the bathroom and smacking my husband with the empty TP roll left on the thing, while the new TP roll is sitting on the back of the toilet... Sometimes I swear he just doesn't know how to take the cardboard roll off, because we've been together a decade and I don't think he's EVER DONE IT.
Related, during my first nightly pee break, my cheeks hit water. I cursed like a sailor, and once I got back in the bedroom, did the full-on, one hand on hip, other hand pointing and told him "When I'm 36 weeks and I can't fucking get up from that fucking squat I end up in when you leave the seat up, you won't find it so fucking funny when you have to get out of bed"
I think my main pregnancy symptom is just constant, unrelenting rage...

omg this made me laugh so hard at my desk my co-workers are looking at me weird. I am a pregnancy rage monster too!!!
When my Hubs leaves the seat up I scream "there's a God damn lady in the house!" and slam the thing shut.... 5 years of living with me and he's mostly trained. The TP thing drives me INSANE tho-- you use toilet paper. you got a new roll. Put it on the holder! it is not that hard!
TP goes over. I often don't refill the new roll. My UO: I think it's crazy that women get so upset at men leaving the toilet seat up. It's not hard to just flick it back down, or check before you sit. I mean, dudes don't get mad at us for not putting it up....
I have zero concerns with my two year old playing with iPad for hours at a time (gasp!) when I'm puking or exhausted. It's temporary. And there will be other times in life where I/we need a break and it will be a temporary "babysitter" as well. It's not the end of the effing world in my "UO"

Agreed. Same with tv. Do what you gotta do to get by.

@Gingersnap lets be honest, sometimes Peppa or Daniel the tiger have way more to give then I do! Have at it little pig/tiger teach him all the things!
TP goes over the top, I'm guilty of flipping rolls in other people's houses when I go and they are the "wrong" way. We always keep lid down.
My UO is that whipped icing is good and buttercream is not. I ask people what type of icing is on a cake before accepting a piece and decline if its buttercream. My family has slowly caved to ordering cakes with whipped icing just because I'm the only one who is so picky about it. I've never tried to make it a big deal but apparently my pickiness is well known.
I really don't like chocolate very much. I will drink chocolate milk and eat the cadbury eggs with the creme filling (luv those).....but chocolate bars or other candies, chocolate baked goods, etc...Yucky. And I am not allergic....I am just weird and don't like it. Chocolate frosting on a vanilla/party cake baked good is OK. But no chocolate cake/cupcake/muffin and def no chocolate on chocolate.
TP has to be rolled behind in my house, or else my cat unravels the whole dang thing within 5 seconds. It drives me nutso because that isn't the right way to have it!
My UO: Witnessing so much of the tactless baby shower culture in the past 15 years has turned me off of wanting my own baby shower. Obviously that's not all baby showers in general, but part of me wishes the whole tradition would just subside already as it's gotten out of hand. Wedding showers too. **hides**

Whipped icing is so gross! I'm the opposite I won't eat it if it's whipped frosting but buttercream the more the better! DH isn't a huge icing fan so I usually get like half of his plus mine and it's amazing! Except now since this baby makes me sick with anything sweet... I miss sweet things so much!

My UO is that I will be considering my stay in the hospital (because I will need a csection) to be like somewhat of a mini vacation. I will be in no rush to return home, unlike pretty much... everyone else it seems. This will be the only time I won't have to clean, cook, be responding to demands and requests, listening to my older kids fight, etc. Also, will be the only time I have any real help and might be able to get at least a little tiny bit more sleep since I will have nurses there to help me.
The only kind of chocolate I like is peanut butter cups and brownies. I will leave the hospital as soon as I'm allowed. I might have H packing up and brining the car around as I'm still pushing baby out. I was so miserable in the hospital last time. I won't stay a minute longer than necessary.
@marriedhamstermom in my life I'm the minority for icing, I just ordered a chocolate cupcake cake with whipped icing, then I ordered 1/2 dozen extra cupcakes in white cake which I don't eat either but I still got the whipped icing. Lol I didn't trust the bakery to not accidently mess it up so they all get whipped.
@scifichick09 I will eat chocolate icing from cans like that, I love that icing too as long as it's chocolate (nudges @BlondePeanut lol)
Yes to lid down and to roll goes over. Does anyone actually roll it behind because they like it that way (and not because they have to for whatever reason like @yogadevil's cat) yes to using tv, tablets, phones, whatever to keep kids occupied for a while. Yes to chocolate, but my DD hates chocolate with a passion. Is she actually my kid? NO to cheesecake, it is so gross. I'm the only one I've ever know who seems to think so except apparently @16isourluckynumber
I would prefer cake if it didn't even have icing on it. I end up taking almost all of it off except a very light layer. I also hate chocolate cake. Vanilla only please!
I guess this is an UO considering today's posts but I love all desserts. Cake, cookies, pies, brownies, cheesecake, donuts, ice cream...you name it. Give me alllll the desserts.
Fun fact, I was at one point enrolled in baking school.
My UO is that I get a little disappointed at weddings when there isn't cake because cake is the best. Even cupcakes I get kind of bummed (especially if the couple has like a small fancy cake they are eating and the guests just get plain cupcakes because that is just rude). It's their wedding and their choice so won't ever be rude and say that to people but I think it in my head.
Similarly I get bummed when DH asks for a birthday pie instead of cake b/c I prefer cake to pie but it's his b'day so I make it and smile and will never tell him I'm secretly bummed.

DH doesn't like cake... So, for his birthday, he usually gets ice cream cake or pie or something random. For my birthday, I get nothing because he doesn't understand the importance of birthday cake
And, I used to be ok with it because we did birthday cakes at work. But, now we're ending that practice. I'm going to have to go buy my own birthday cakes in the future.

I don't think I've ever seen well done botox.
I always put lids down.
Do what you gotta do to get by.
My UO is that I believe that men should have to sit down to pee. It's not demasculinizing to not get pee all over the toilet.

I've never had chicken and waffles.
I mean, that sounds good, and it always looks good, but I just never want to eat it.
I prefer just plain butter and syrup.

I will demolish a pack of ruffles though.

I don't like cake. We didn't have wedding cake, we had cheese cake (wheels of different kinds of cheese stacked on top of each other) and pies.
FYI, cheesecake is the perfect food. If you disagree, you just haven't had good cheesecake.
Fun fact, I was at one point enrolled in baking school.
I love fancy chocolate so much that I've mouthgasmed multiple times in my life.
also- I don't care which way the tp is, as long as it's put on and not sitting on the back or vanity.
Similarly I get bummed when DH asks for a birthday pie instead of cake b/c I prefer cake to pie but it's his b'day so I make it and smile and will never tell him I'm secretly bummed.
