  • Month/Cycle: 5/4

    CD/DPO: 27/10

    Timing: -1, O

Testing: bfn today and at 8dpo on IC. I'm thinking I'm done testing.

R/R: really emotional today and yesterday, recognizing that there is a good chance that we will reach the 6 month mark without BFP. And that's okay and not abnormal, but just crazy and a reality check. I know I'm getting ahead of myself but that's an emotional TWW for ya! Damn you progesterone.

CS/Q: wish I was seeing higher temps.

GTKY:  how did you meet your best friend and how long have you been friends? My BFF was my random roommate freshman year of college. We lived together all four years. She was my MOH and is absolutely that person who no matter how long time has been its like no time has passed. I wish I could see her everyday, but we live 1000 miles apart now.

    CD/DPO: 21/9

    Timing: -5, -3, -1, O

Testing: trying hard to wait and see if AF rears her ugly head first

    R/R: nothing today

CS/Q: not that I can think of

GTKY:  how did you meet your best friend and how long have you been friends?  My current best friend I met at my job when I started Dec 2014.  We didn't really become super close until she came back from maternity leave last fall.  We call each other our work spouse.

Yesterday she was telling me that she and her husband are going to be trying for their second soon and I feel like it would be so cool to be pregnant at the same time :)

CD/DPO: 18/3ish (My dpo isn't super accurate because I only chart CM and CP and it's not straight forward)

    Timing: -3, -2, -1, o

    Testing: Probably 10dpo

R/R: So DH suggested getting a second dog if we don't get a BFP before we start TTA in October for his sister's summer wedding. I was shocked because he even suggested another little dog like our Maltese. We watched the Great Sperm Race and it was really good. I think it made him a bit more realistic about having 1 more cycle before we need to TTA.

    CS/Q:

GTKY:  how did you meet your best friend and how long have you been friends?

My childhood bff I met in Kindergarten and went to school with through 12th grade but we've drifted since college so we've been friends for 17 years. My college bff that I actually talk to all the time is one of my sorority sisters so we've been friends for a few years.
    Me: 25 DH: 29, Married 1/1/2015
    DS 11/2/2017

  • Month/Cycle: 8/7

    CD/DPO: 28/8

    Timing: -3,-2,-1,0

    Testing: later

R/R: We are hosting card night tonight! And the cleaning lady comes today!! Perfect timing right? I really love throwing parties. My rant goes out to the colony of pimples on my face. A couple are those under the skin ones that hurt so bad. It's unusual for me to break out this badly.  :|

CS/Q: We have an RE appt later in the month and I started analyzing my cycles and writing it out in preparation. I also revisited TCOYF recently and I think that I might have low post O progesterone. My post O temps seem to linger around the cover line each month and looks really similar to one of the charts in the book. Now I'm worried that if this does stick this month that I'll be at risk of a loss. I know most of us have never been pregnant but does anyone know if they check your hormone levels when you get a BFP? Cause you know I can't help myself worrying about something, anything. BSC over here.

GTKY:  how did you meet your best friend and how long have you been friends? My longest friend is from high school. So, 14 years. We played soccer together then worked together for years then we were roommates all four years in college. We have grown apart over the years but still consider each other bffs. She's just... tough. Like hard to connect on an emotional level and doesn't get along with a lot of other people. She also grew really attached to her husband and less so friends and family. So there is just a distance but also a closeness in that we have known one another forever. Hard to explain I guess. My other bff I met in law school and I would say we are actually closer. She's a big personality but loyal and I can talk to her about anything. That said I haven't shared our TTC journey with either.

Sorry for the book today guys

  • @mrsdaddario @sevenn - sorry for the BFNs
@saralee797 -I don't know if they check hormone levels, but I know that your first appointment isn't usually until about 8-10 weeks. Up until 12 weeks is the most likely time for a MC. So if you're concerned, if you get a BFP, I would mention the concern and ask if you can come in early specifically for hormone testing?

GTKY:  how did you meet your best friend and how long have you been friends?
I have a group of 4 best friends that I've known since first grade. This September is our friendship's 21st 'birthday'. We decided we need to go out to dinner to celebrate :) I also have a few best friends from college, so I've known them for 8 years.

R/R: We lost my friends wife last night. I'm a mess. It's ridiculous. And I didn't test this morning so I can't even have wine to make me feel better. Where's the chocolate at?

CS/Q: I had a really good one but with all the shit that happened this morning I have forgotten.

GTKY:  how did you meet your best friend and how long have you been friends? I have 2 best friends. One of them, we met in 3rd grade because I was the weird new kid and we were wearing the same shirt. Turns out our wardrobe was nearly identical and we wore the same thing almost every day, never on purpose. 16 years now I think?

The other one is H's younger brother. We met in high school. He's on the autism spectrum and everyone thought he was weird so they weren't nice to him. I was teaching his choir class one day and he looked so sad so I went up to him and was like "Hey, we're friends now. Let's go get lunch." The rest is history.

R/R: Since coming of BC, my cycles have typically been somewhere between 24-27 days. I have been super emotional today, so I have a feeling that means AF is on the way...

    CS/Q: nope

GTKY:  how did you meet your best friend and how long have you been friends?
Don't remember exactly how we met, but she lived around the corner from me growing up. She was the first friend I made after moving to a new town when I was 9, and we are still friends 20 years later.

  • @Saralee797

(lurking from WTO) If you are worried, you can ask for a blood test to check your progesterone after a BFP. Never hurts to ask. If you are concerned about your progesterone generally, you can ask your doctor to test it post-ovulation whether you are pregnant or not. I'm hoping my endocrinologist will do this for me in two weeks when I have an appointment with her anyway because I am in the same boat.

  • @KhRun17 @adirat Thanks ladies. I didn't know if it was normal course of business to test for hormones with a blood test to confirm pregnancy. I will definitely ask my OB if/as soon as I get a BFP because I definitely think that could be my issue. Otherwise, I'll be bringing it up at my first RE appt at the end of the month. Appreciate your insight!
Also, @KhRun17 that celebration sounds adorable and well deserved since you managed to stay friends so long!!
@Dilynne So sorry for your loss. Eat all the chocolate today!!

@Dilynne I'm so sorry for your loss. All my thoughts and love.

    Month/Cycle: 3/3

    CD/DPO: 24/10

    Timing: high

Testing: not for another few days

R/R: Had a temp increase this morning but pretty certain AF is on her way. Just hoping she holds off for two more days. We have a last night out before we move tomorrow and AF could really cramp my style.

    CS/Q:

GTKY:  how did you meet your best friend and how long have you been friends? I have three best friends from HS. I met each individually but we all became friends junior year. Tonight we're all going to dinner for the last time before I move. No matter where we are in life we somehow all come together and for that I'm grateful. My other BFF is from college. She's my first wife. Living with someone just puts your relationship on a different level than the rest.
  • @mrsdaddario I'm so sorry for the negative betas but hope this new protocol will be wonderful for you <3
@dilynne condolences for your loss <3 I do hope you get your hands on a test soon, tho...

Testing: I think today is CD 1

R/R: Ladies, I'm sort of losing it right now :'( NOT because AF is basically here but basically a mix of hormones and I just found out something awful regarding my family that I'm not even sure I can explain :'(  I'm just sitting in the waiting room of my surgeon's office right now, trying to keep it together. This appointment will be to see if he can remove a stitch that you can feel through my skin near the scar on my abdomen and it often really hurts (plus I think it will hurt a LOT when/if I'm lucky enough to end up with a massive pregnant belly!). But he can be kind of arrogant and with the way I'm feeling right now I not sure I am take it :(

CS/Q: massive temp nosedive that actually made FF move my coverline, which was annoying

GTKY:  how did you meet your best friend and how long have you been friends?
we met at university and have been friends over ten years now, tho we now live in different provinces
  • @rainbowturtles I'm so sorry its looking like CD1 and for family drama. all that and an arrogant MD is a lot to take. I hope you can do something nice for yourself today.

    Month/Cycle: 3/3

    CD/DPO: 25/9?

    Timing: -5, -4, -3, +1

Testing: I caved and tested yesterday after convincing myself that I could have ovulated earlier than FF predicted but got a BFN.  Going to try and wait until atleast DPO11 to test again.

R/R: this is my first month actually charting and these last few days before AF are so much harder than I thought they'd be! It seemed so easy to say I'd wait to test until AF is late but my brain goes off on its own with SS and rationalising doing a test early.  I was sure AF was coming yesterday morning when I got cramps but never did so I got excited since that's usually when it starts.  Now every time I go to the bathroom I hold my breathe-I think DH is watching me for reactions very closely too. Symptoms have all been similar to pms but more intense-especially very weepy and dizzy.

So-AF is due tomorrow. Friday will probably be my test day if I'm still in the running. All this SS and false AF is really getting my hopes up. It'll be a rough fall if this isn't the month.

    CS/Q: none

GTKY:  How did you meet your best friend and how long have you been friends? We were cheerleaders together in HS and haven't separated since...20 years and counting.  We've both been MOH I each other's wedding but live in separate states now.

Sorry for the long R/R.  I'm still new at all this!

Funny note about being super weepy-I just teared up typing that and cried watching Agents of Shield last night. WTF?
  • @JennyV56 I know how you feel!  I'm so not an emotional person and it generally takes a lot to get me weepy!  This morning I started getting weepy thinking about my nephew (he's the oldest niece/nephew) turning 17 today and starting his senior year of high school next week.  I'm trying so hard not to SS and also not get my hopes too high.

R/R: I seriously hate my body right now. For the first 3 months after I stopped bc my periods were every 29 days, which I was happy about because they were regular. Now my last period was 3 days early. I've been spotting pretty much every month starting about a week before my period is due. It usually lasts a few days. Well I've been spotting now for 6 days so far and my period isn't due for almost 2 weeks! WTF?

We met when we were babies. Both our families had summer places in the same campground. We now live across the street from eachother and have been friends for about 28 years.

  • @Saralee797 Like someone else said if you're concerned about low progesterone and you get a BFP you may want to just call your doctor immediately after getting your BFP and let them know that you suspect low progesterone and push for some blood work to check everything. I know it's fairly common to start progesterone supplementation after a BFP in cases of low progesterone or suspected low progesterone. I know while my RE was waiting on my progesterone numbers to come back to told me to call if I got a BFP so they could start me on progesterone supplementation just in case it was low.

@mrsdaddario I'm sorry about everything. :( Lots of hugs.

Thank you @wabash15 and @ahrains and @kcagle0528 The appointment actually went really well tho it's kind of disturbing since he said he used dissolving stitches so he doesn't know exactly what it is we're feeling under my skin but he's going to open me up next month and investigate lmao wtf??!!

CD 1 has definitely arrived but I certainly treated myself :) My mom gave me a little money from the sale of one of her houses so I'll be saving some but definitely splurged a little on some things I've been needing and also a couple fun items I'd never justify buying on my own and it felt really good :) Kind of wishing I'd picked up a nice bottle of wine on the way home tho..... lol

I have everything crossed for everyone and hope nobody follows me over to WTO! Thanks for everything this cycle :)

@Megzb510 I continued to temp and use FF during my medicated cycle. I did an override and made O the day of the IUI.  Temping is not reliable during a medicated cycle but I was too stressed to stop. Next medicated cycle, I will probably still continue to temp/track in FF.

  • Thanks @kcagle0528 and yes, it is a mystery. If this cycle taught me anything it's that I'm really going to try to hold off testing until 12dpo next TWW....but we'll see how I feel about that when the time comes lol
  • @rainbowturtles Yes, me too! I really need to wait, I'm so discouraged and I'm only at 8dpo because I've taken too many tests, but no symptoms. Ugh, oh well. Trying to hold out until next Monday now. I need to get off these boards! HA
