@kittens22 - my mom doesn't work and lives alone with a poodle, yet she is always soooo busy!! (?) She told me this week that she plans to come visit next week (6 hour drive), and I was so excited b/c I thought she'd watch my 7 year-old so my hubs and I can go to the bank re a much-needed line of credit, but she "has to get back home for a home-owner's assoc. meeting". She's not in charge or anything, and has no real need to be there... weird. Sometimes she cancels plans because she has to "clean-up after church".
I think she has an alter-ego and is a closeted-super hero or an exotic-dancer...

I'll start with saying I'm thankful that my husband is trying to help get stuff ready for baby #2, but there's certain things I wish he'd just let me do.
We've been in the process of finding all of our baby clothes from our son and washing, re-organizing, and re-packing larger clothes away for baby #2 and putting newborn and 3 month stuff into the nursery. I've had to explain baby clothes sizes multiple times since this started, telling him you can even hold up the month range clothing to the stuff that clearly says a __ month on it and see which size it matches.Yesterday, my husband decided to do all of this on his own and I come home to boxes labeled "12 month" with 9-12 month, 12 month, and 12-18 month clothing in them. I've even made a baby clothing cheat sheet for him that says: Newborn 3 Month (0-3 Month) 6 Month (3-6 Month) etc... And yet they still end up in the wrong places.
So I spent last night unpacking all of the boxes he did throughout the day and putting them into the correct clothing sizes. When he called me after getting off of work and I was on my way to work and he asked how the night was I could hear the *face palm* when I told him I spent it re-organizing baby clothes.
i was originally embarrassed to even admit what we have going on w baby stuff lol.
I have everything separated into bins and he knows not to touch it. like as detailed as a timeline of when each bin is needed and a list of whats inside, including clothes.
you have to somehow delegate the men some simple non intense nesting task bc regardless of how they do it, it ill never be up to our third tri expectations.
mrszoess I've even given my husband the tasks I figured he'd prefer to do, raise the crib mattress up from our first son, put together the baby swing, purchase and hang up blinds in baby's room... and yet he still decides to not do any of those things but instead to sort, fold, and pack away baby clothes.
Maybe I need to mention the term "3rd trimester nesting expectations"
