R/R: I started eating pineapple core last night. I

GTKY: Why did you join the Bump? Do you participate in any other TTC groups/message boards? I joined with a Knot account in 2011 that I never used and starting lurking on the Aug 2012 BMB when I was pregnant with DS. Even just being a lurker kept me sane during my pregnancy and the newborn months. A lot of the women from my BMB were TTGP grads and I wished I had started from that board. Once I got Mirena out last year, I joined back in and lurked for maybe a month before jumping in. I've checked out Glow and personally can't stand pictures of bloody tissues with "iz this implantation bleeding?" so I've nope'd on out of there.

R/R: I got a cold right around CD 10. Didn't have a fever but I suspect my temp rise may have been due to that because CD 10 seems early for ovulation. My dates above are based off the crosshairs that FF gave me on day 10 but I'm not sure it's accurate. Now I am not sick anymore but temps are still elevated so I'm pretty sure I ovulated somewhere in there....just not sure exactly when. Ugh
Also we had friends over and there was drinking. So my ovulation spike is probably hidden in there somewhere but who knows where
CS: Anyone else get a temp spike from being mildly sick but NOT a fever?

GTKY: it won't let me type below my chart. I joined the Bump when I was pregnant with my first because I had already joined the knot when I was engaged, and I thought why the hell not. I'm not part of any other TTC boards because I find many of them to be too "sunshine and rainbows and oh you're definitely preggers"

R/R: no CH because my temps were all over but I think it was related to having a crappy thermometer. FF guessed about CD16 so that's what I'm basing it off of. However, clear blue's advanced test said highly fertile from CD11-CD18 but never peaked. I stopped testing after CD18 because I left for a work trip. Lots of inconsistencies so BD all throughout the peak time.

I just joined to learn more and understand how to (try) and track peak days. So far I love all the advice and hearing the stories.

R/R: DH asked me last night if we missed the FW as he's laid up for a few days after having his wisdom teeth removed. It made me feel good that he was concerned about it.

GTKY: Why did you join the Bump? Do you participate in any other TTC groups/message boards? I was originally in a TTC group on FB that was comprised of women from a (different) wedding site. I ended up joining the TB after a coworker told me about it and how helpful she found it when she was pregnant with her son a couple years ago. I like that this specific group is only other women TTGP where as the FB group was women who were TTGP as well as those currently pregnant or recently gave birth.

I lurked around The Knot when I was wedding planning, and then ended up lurking here for a while when we first started talking about TTC. I decided to finally break down and create an account and participate so that I could have people to talk to about the process, since we have been fairly quiet about it with friends and family. I have checked out some other forums, but the amount of "OMG you're totally KU!!!" and "I had sex 2 days ago and now I have a stomach ache, AM I PREGNANT?!?!?!?!" was way to much to handle.

R/R: DS starts preschool today! I am so excited for him, he is not excited at all.Thought it would be really cool to get a BFP this morning so I could tell DH, "Just as one is starting preschool, another one is on the way," but...my temps super plummeted.

I joined the Bump when I was on the July 2012 board with DS. But I re-joined the Bump for the TTGP board in November 2015 (lurked until April-ish) after looking around at other forums. I didn't like the layout/organization of other forums I found. Posts would have like a million responses on it and would date back for MONTHS. I liked that the WTO and TWW were new posts everyday and not just one long thread. Because of the layout/formatting, I could also see the relationships forming between women and I liked that. I saw recurrent people posting and could recognize screen names. It truly was more of a community than any other forum I looked at. And, I got really sick of seeing obvious BFN pee sticks that other members were saying "Oh yes! I see it! Totes KTFU! Congrats!"

R/R: very encouraged that before the end of my next cycle I will see my gyn for a fertility consult

CS/Q: So, I think I may start charting to go along with my OPKs. For charting I see fertility friend is the popular one, so I'm downloading that today. Anyone have a favorite brand of thermometer? Amazon has so many choices!

GTKY: Why did you join the Bump? Do you participate in any other TTC groups/message boards? I lurked in a couple of boards but this one was respectful, reasonable, and didn't just give people the answers they wanted to hear. I also appreciate the rules and structure of the board.

R/R: DH's work finally picked up and he's getting the hours he should have been getting all summer so that's great! But the down side is now I get zero help at home. Idk how he does it but in the 3ish waking hours he's here he dirties 502383 dishes, goes through 3 different outfits, and gets dirt from his work boots everywhere even though we don't wear shoes in the house. Wtf dude?

@kyersten I know many women on this board recommend the Mabis. I have the Reli On brand. I just picked it up at Walmart. I think some women feel like it's unreliable, or always gives the same temps regardless of where you are in the cycle. But I haven't had that issue yet. I think as long as it's a BBT thermometer, you should be fine.

@kyersten I have the Mabis that is mentioned in the newbie post and by @KirstinH88 above. I like it and haven't had any problems with it yet. The only downside is that the display is not backlit but I typically use the light from my phone's screen to check it instead of turning on the light and possibly waking DH

Would really prefer a FB group (which is funny because that is not anonymous) but there aren't any good public groups, of course. Looking forward to an FB BMB if we ever get there.

@jackiemarie1989 - did you put in symptoms "illness" those days? I had a cold for a few days this month too that made a big difference. I think with CM that I put in and then marking fever/illness when I knew I was sick helped FF find the right days for CH?

Like a lot of others, I navigated here from The Knot. But I started really participating because DH and I aren't telling anyone we're TTC, and if I talk too much about it to him he gets stressed out by it, so I lurked and saw how many people were so supportive. And I also agree with others that the structure of the boards, and just in general the way it's set up is nice. I checked out BabyCentre for a while too, but couldn't understand how to navigate.

Late to the game today because I had court this morning but like wtf is going on here lately?? Also, sorry about the temp drops and AF symptoms ladies!

Testing: So DH will be out of town this weekend on 11 and 12 DPO. I might test then so if I am KU I can surprise him good. However, I feel like my post O temps have been so erratic and this is not our cycle.

R/R: I should not be allowed in Sephora. Dear lord, I should not be allowed in Sephora lol. I met a friend for lunch which was really nice. She is planning her wedding and now so is my sister but I LOVE talking wedding stuff so it has been great.

CS/Q: temp is back up. I am really interested to see what happens in the next couple days. Maybe I will be more hopeful if they continue to stay up/rise?!

GTKY: Why did you join the Bump? Do you participate in any other TTC groups/message boards? I think I stumbled on this place googling questions/SS. I quickly realized that there was so much that I did not know. I also really needed someone besides DH to talk to. It was our decision not to tell anyone we were TTC and I felt like in some ways DH did not understand the things that were going on in my body/mind. He has since become way more knowledgeable but I think this forum helped get us there.

@kyersten I use a Mabis but will second what @lulu1180 said which is the lack of backlight can be annoying when you temp before the sun is up. I would look for one with that.
@JackieMarie1989 under specifics on FF there is a place to mark fever so that might help? I haven't been sick so I can't be sure.
@sevenn Maybe an implant dip?? FX for you!!

GTKY: Why did you join the Bump? Do you participate in any other TTC groups/message boards? I came across this site 4 years ago when I was googling symptoms because my period was 4 days "late". We weren't TTC but I was hopeful we screwed up lol. I wasn't pregnant, but I continued to lurk this site on and off for the last 4 years. I was very ready to TTC but my H was not so I'd just sort of torture myself and live vicariously through other women who were TTC. I officially joined in January when my H finally said we could start trying. I've only ever used the community side of the bump, I don't even know what else it offers haha. I'll sometimes lurk other boards if I need to feed my speshul-snowflake-symptom-spotting crazy but I don't belong to any.

CS/Q: is there a way to turn off the password for FF? It drives me bonkers to have to type it in four hundred times a day in the TWW. Especially since I can never remember my CD/DPO.

@Megzb510 I was given the pro tip of making sure that your pineapple is SUPER ripe! That way the core is nice and soft and sweet just like the rest of the pineapple

I did this last cycle and it was great! I also learned that you can ripen it ahead of time and then chop and freeze until needed because freezing doesn't affect the bromelain enzyme! Hope this helps...only if there is unfortunately a next time, of course

Also, for the ladies saying their thermometers don't have a backlight, don't they have a temp recall? I actually love that mine doesn't light up. I take it, turn it off, go back to sleep. Then I turn it on in the morning and it shows me what my last temp was

R/R: once again I'm so tired that I forget what my r/r's were gonna be lol I did sleep last night but still tired. Currently waiting at urologist office for a follow up. The appointment was for 1115 but they get you to call ahead to sweeps far behind the doctor is. It's tricky tho, cuz I live 50min away. First time I called they said noon, second time they said 1215. So it's now 1230 and I just got put in a room but just glad I didn't get here for 1115! Think I can lie down on the examination table? lol

CS/Q: another low temp. Expect AF tomorrow which would mean my cycles seem to be finally back to "normal" since my loss in late February, so that's a bonus.

I joined this and another site when I got my BFP in February but the other one was like a ghost town and nobody was very helpful or around much. I started lurking and then posting in miscarriage/pregnancy loss a while after my mc, then TTCAL and here a bit while benched, and now mostly here and TTCAL

Everyone has been so supportive, knowledgeable, and just all around great

I appreciate this outlet more than you know!

@rainbowturtles I have actually noticed that the temp recall is not always correct for me. I guess my Mabis is a little funky that way but I haven't noticed that it has been off in any other way. And UGH dr.'s offices are the worst. I would definitely lay down. Good luck with your appt!

@berg do you access FF on mobile? I only get on it through the FF mobile app and never have to enter a password. Not sure if it's a setting default thing though...but I can definitely see how that would be annoying. I go onto FF multiple times a day just to look at my chart and envision things that aren't there

My appointment went well; no new info. Just that IC gives me an overactive bladder and I can't go on meds because we're TTC and can't get Botox bladder injections because they're $550 (not covered). So I went wheeee wheee wheee, all the way home...

R/R: I usually have 5 week cycles so I'm not in a hurry to test. I don't think I'll be testing this time around unless I go past a 40 day cycle. That's what I say now, but we'll see.

CS/Q: Unrelated to TTC question: Anyone watching Stranger Things? It's really freaking good.

I jumped over here after the wedding to learn about TTC and I've been here off and on ever since. I was part of October 2015 and then November 2016 month boards - I got really active in Novemeber and it was super hard to leave. Really, it was hard to leave to the point where I thought I was done with The Bump, but here I am again.

R/R: DH has a big project going on 2 hours away so he's gone a lot. We just started this office location and it's just him and me. So I'm at the office alone all day and then come home and I'm the only one to deal with lovely 4 year old drama! I love him but man is he headstrong and thinks he should get his way on everything! Plus side, he's starting to remember so many things and we have real conversations. He starts gymnastics next week and is counting down the days.

I lurked on the knot before getting married in 2011. Then mainly lurked (because I suck at posting regularly no matter how hard I try) on April 2012 with DS. Now we're mainly on FB but it's an awesome support system and I feel much closer to most of them than my IRL friends. And we aren't telling anyone we are TTC and it's nice to have people to talk to about it so I don't drive DH nuts!

R/R: DS does indeed have hand foot and mouth, which is why i am SUPER late to the party today. It looks like he will be out of daycare all week. on the upside I have lined up sitters to cover at least part of every day so I dont have to fully miss work, though it means things are crazy while i'm there trying to cram a full days work into half a day. I started down the rabbit hole of the FF charts like mine feature... damn you FF for the first 6 charts you showed me being pregnancy charts, it does not help keep the BSC at bay.... it was all I could do not to test tonight.

I spent most of my time lurking the TTTC board which was way more active back then, but also lurked a bit on the TTC page. after the twins were born I realized quickly that I did not want to be done having babies, so I lurked for a long time until I started cycling again and then finally decided to contribute with all these amazing women who I felt like I knew because I had been reading their posts for so long.

@wabash15 So sorry your DS has HFM. My DS had it when he was 14 months old and of course passed it on to the LO I nannied at the time. It's no fun to deal with.

Testing: Bought some Dollar Store Cheapies for $4 so I'll start later this week and see. Had some minor breast pain last night and by this afternoon it had significantly intensified. Might not be anything, though, they always hurt before AF comes.

R/R: I had parents come in for open house tonight which is never very fun. I'm sooooo tired since DH gets home at midnight now. Lied down last night at 9:30 but stayed awake until he got home. Then he was wired, wanted to talk, and I wanted to talk to him, so I ended up staying up until 1:30 this morning and had to be up at 5:30. I foresee the cycle repeating tonight.

CS/Q: Just symptom spotting of course. Had some very VERY minor bleeding Sunday morning...perhaps very early implantation? This is my first round of TTC so I really don't know details of how this works. If sperm were already in the Ftube waiting on the egg, wouldn't it get fertilized very quickly? And does that mean it might get to the uterus faster? Hmmmmm as DH says "Your bodies are so complicated....."

Charting/temping is great...especially because you're regular until you're not! And it's those times especially that you'll be thankful you did!

@rainbowturtles I had never heard of charting before I started lurking here. I had heard of temping (haven't done that either) but charting is new to me. Looking at others' charts, though, I'll definitely be trying next month if need be.
