lol @ Patrick.  I won't let DH get a close enough look at my butthole to come up with a nickname.  He knows I'm already sensitive to that area because I had a colorectal surgery 10 years ago to fix an idiopathic abscess turned fistula.  The doctor keeps telling me my previous patient history won't be a problem, but they also haven't had a chance to obtain and go over my past records.  I'm really hoping labor doesn't complete destroy me.  I'd be happy to end up with just one hemo that will hopefully shrink down.  Yay butthole problems.  Good luck to all our rectums!
@chriscasey33  You may want to bring this up with your doctor again.  I have a history of vaginal fistulas (Crohn's Disease), and because of them, my OBs have insisted on c-sections.  They're worried that the strain of labor may cause the fistulas to re-open, which could cause potentially life-threatening complications.  Your fistulas may be very different, but I'd push the issue and make sure they've reviewed your records.  Good luck!
Exactly!   I brought it up to see if I needed to have a c-section for that reason.  I'm not one to argue with doctor's opinions, but they need to base it off of looking at my entire medical record, and not just say "umm.  It SHOULD be fine.'  Thanks, how very reassuring of you.  My OB was not my colorectal specialist surgeon, so obviously she has no context.   They've requested my records 5 times and still haven't received them.  So frustrating, because this is an issue I've been bringing up since I was 8 weeks, and here we are at almost 32...

But you've relit the fire under my butt (no pun intended), so I'm going to make sure they give me an INFORMED decision, based on my medical history.

  • @LMNOBaby I have a Jan baby and you are right- the pregnancy was pretty easy temperature wise. I just never had a jacket on (a sweater was always enough). BUT I did have to wear shoes everyday and by November it was hard to put my boots on. I ended up buying ugg slip one and those were the only shoes I could wear haha.

Oh oh and the whole 'will I have to give birth in a snow storm?'

I think im going to aim for a June baby next- pregnant at the end of summer and birth before the heat really starts. Haha sounds perfect! If only it were that simple.
  • I'm sorry if this was addressed earlier in the thread (I read the whole thread but my memory is not what it used to be), but does anyone else feel like their stomach is really taut all of the time?  The past two days I've felt like my stomach is really hard all day long.
  • @ignoscemihi yes, and full. and she decided she wants to be in a new position and is moving her entire self around
  • @LMNOBaby I have to back into my husbands car at this point (a prius) and he wonders why I won't switch cars with him until after the baby comes. Getting out of it is a whole new fiasco.

  • Okay. What's going on with my tailbone? I feel like someone punched my butt crack tonight. Just soreeeee.
  • I feel like baby has changed positions because I feel him less/differently but I can't decide if he went head down or what....

also the needing to pee all the time is getting really out of hand. I got up like 6 times last night .

  • @kmolleltz I actually came on here to say the exact same thing. She feels different... I felt her yesterday but less then normal and then when I woke up just now and was laying in bed, I felt her (not as strongly as before) but not where I normally feel her. Even her hiccups aren't in the same place and it's worrying me because she was head down but now I feel like she's sideways?
  • @ignoscemihi - yes! I go through spurts where it's worse sometimes than others. It's so uncomfortable!

His little cranium is jammed into the lower portion of my spine and my back, butt, and upper thighs all feel like their on fire.

    Edit: word.
  • @maf9866 mine was sideways! But now that things feels different I dont know any more. When he was sideways it always felt like he was killling me in the side, like right below the ribs.

other symptom: I have random hot flashes where I get really sweaty even if its not particularly hot?

Yes this is me too! This whole week I've been really uncomfortable, but especially yesterday. I think he's turning or something because part of the day both sides of my stomach were hard. But I also can't bend forward AT ALL because I feel like something is in my sternum. I'm miserable :(

  • @mrszoess and @bnsmith85 it feels like my stomach is going to burst open.
  • For the first time in a very long time, I got a good night's sleep last night. However, it's not even 10:30 a.m. and I feel like I could take a nap. Ugh.
  • @mrszoess and @bnsmith85 it feels like my stomach is going to burst open.
I'm so sorry! Not a good feeling at all. I was having that issue last week. It eventually went away for me. FX it goes away for you soon!

It feels like I pulled a muscle in my groin, except that the pain comes and goes. Maybe baby is laying on a nerve? Or maybe it's SPD? I don't know but I want it to go away.
@ball4768 I have a lot of pain in my groin too. I thought maybe I have a varicose vein there or something! My OB said its very normal though. I've found that putting a pillow in between my legs when I lay down helps a lot - if I am laying on my side and I've been putting a pillow under my calves if I am laying on my back.

Edit @kmyers228 try the pillow between your legs when on your side! Seems to help!
  • Add me to the list of feeling terrible within a week. I went from feeling great. Being able to walk 5-6km every other day to dying from 2-3km. Baby has for sure dropped I'm just hoping he has dropped head down and not breech. I still can't figure it out. But for a few days I had major painful pressure in my ribs and he was transverse which sucked cause I'm small. Now I can't feel anything hard on the top of

  • I'm confused. I want to know where all my poop is. I will go sometimes up to a week without pooping, then when I finally do go, it's one small, hard poop... that is NOT a weeks worth of food...

  • Add me to the emotional train. It is NO FUN!  We went out to dinner and I just started bawling.  Of course SO's #1 concern was what people thought of HIM. UGH.

I am also adding myself to the all of the sudden very uncomfortable group as well.  I just don't wanna. I'm tired, I can't nap, it's hot out, I'm hungry but I feel like I can't eat much without making myself uncomfortable. Wah.

I'm the opposite right now. Where is all this poop coming from?? Lol. I'm not eating much but I poop quite a few times a day.

Im super emotional too. DH doesn't handle it well, he gets frustrated and tells me to be strong. So I cry harder and yell that I've been strong for 7 months, now I'm allowed to be a mess! This actually just happened last night when I climbed out of bed. My back gave out and I ended up on the floor. I slammed my knee on the hard wood and hit my belly on the bar of my bedside toilet. Apparently this was not a good enough reason for a grown woman to cry.  :|

  • @AllyTheKid I laughed entirely too hard at "where is all my poop?"

    +1 for vanishing poo.
  • I'm officially blaming doodoo for my excessive weight gain.
  • @AllyTheKid ... You are hilarious! But seriously... +1 for the vanishing poo!

You go up to a week?! How are you able to walk?? I go 2 days and have such cramps that I can barely move.

  • @krzyriver hubby gets frustrated when I get emotional too.  He goes from being pissy with me to the stereotypical guy that's all "don't cry don't cry...what can I do to stop you from crying" which my response usually is "stop being a dick!"
    Pregnancy Ticker

  • @LauraPCOS Lol! Last night mine was like "I don't understand why you need to cry." And I said "Because you're being a dick, that's why!"

He's such a guy, he's not good with crying women. He still hasn't learned what I need when I'm crying, which is weird because I'm such a crier, even when I'm not pregnant. I wanna put a stop to that tho because I hate the "Don't cry, be strong" mentality. I want my baby boy to know its ok to cry. So I gotta retrain DH to be more like "It's ok, let it out. Alright, now....what's wrong and is there something I can do to help fix it or do you just need to vent?"

  • My friend is very much like that with her son "let him cry" but her husband is all "but now he cries about everything and you're turning him into a vagina" (lol actually said vagina).  It's interesting though, cause I think my son should be able to cry, but I don't want to encourage that whiney cry when they don't get their way.  Such a thin line and who am I kidding, I'm a FTM mom so all my "I won't do that" bs is going to happen lol
    Pregnancy Ticker

  • @LauraPCOS Oh, I do not put up with whiny crying. I turn my back on my goddaughter when she does it. It gets her to stop instantly because she lost her audience. Lol. She doesn't do it anymore, I think we've been able to teach her that it won't help her get her way. Idk if she still pulls it on mommy and daddy tho.

When I say I want my husband to be ok with crying, I mean real crying. Fake, tantrum, "I didn't get my way crying" is not catered to around here. We're hard asses, we don't put up with that kind of stuff. Lol

  • I just had to drink prune juice due to the no poo... Which wasn't bad going down but the after taste made me gag- and I'm not a person that gags.

so far no action- it better be worth it!
  • @serenaxo84 Oh man, yuck! I had to drink prune juice regularly as a kid to keep constipation away. Never again!!

Sometimes when I haven't gone in awhile, I just need to buy raspberries. I could seriously eat a whole thing by myself and I always go after. Not sure if this would work in dire situations tho, but definitely a tastier option if it does!

  • I feel like my hips are being pushed apart and now my hips and pelvis are "popping" when I move my legs.
