Just here to say that I LOVE SUEJO!!! Look at her, what a champ! Can you imagine that being your own grandmother having a sex show? My sister and I watched this show together all the time and I'd watch it with friends at sleepovers. She was the absolute best.

I remember a call of a man trying to convince his wife that the baby would look more like him the more times they had sex while she was pregnant. I always thought he was such an idiot, but in retrospect maybe he was just trying to convince her to have more sex during pregnancy... he may have been a genius (depends on how good/bad looking he was I suppose)

Last night I told my husband "So.. I'm actually awake, and don't have heartburn right now, I was thinking of getting some sex in, you down?" He obviously was.. had a successful romp with me on top.. needed help to get from laying flat on him to sitting upright, which could have ruined the mood, but we kept it light-hearted and had a great time. We used my vibe after to finish me off.
Today I'm feeling really positive for a. pleasing the husband, b. enjoying myself, and c. perhaps helping prep the cervix (though it did nothing for me last pregnancy)

Husband works until 11 tonight, so home around 11:30. I do have tomorrow off, so there's a slight possibility, but doubtful for us! If I drift off before bedtime I am an absolute GROUCH! Like.. toddler level grouch if they fall asleep close to bedtime and are woken to move to bed. He'll know not to try anything if I'm asleep when he walks in!

As I mentioned in the randoms thread yesterday, I was given a book that has a variety of sexual positions and one chapter is dedicated to pregnancy. The author of the book dedicated it to her mother. We had sex last night, too. My line was something like, "I'm actually in the mood. Let's not waste it." and it was on. It started out great, but quickly became awkward pregnant sex. I actually thought I wasn't going to O at all (which never happens) and was just trying to get DH to finish so it'd be over. I ended up getting there in the end, but was pretty sore after. Re-reading all of this, I'm not sure how much of a win this sexy time was.

Huge respect to anyone who can still be on top. It's usually the best for me/us, but the last time we tried my hips got so sore that I got legit stuck up there. Then I almost peed myself laughing. I'm not sure who ended up more uncomfortable, me or DH.

The only position I prefer at this stage is me on top. However, trying to get off him when we were done is a task in itself. I just tell H to push me off because there's no way I can move my legs hahaha

My favorite position lately (last 8 months) has been me on my side with a giant pillow barrier up between us to stake claim on bed space and keep him from stealing real estate, lol! I.e. I think we may be the only ones to have done it like two or three times, at all. The first tri I was so bloated I would have farted the entire time no matter what. The second tri I was so self conscious (remember our ICEE fight?) This last tri I haven't even cared and he hasn't tried. I feel a little bad and keep thinking I should try to take a few for the team, but then, well, I don't.

I am sad to say I'm not even in the mood lately. It's like I'm asexual; I haven't even thought about sex in forever. I'll help my DH out regularly but I don't think we've had sex since Mid June

I did have to have the strep B test done today and based on how uncomfortable the swabbing made me feel, I can't even imagine how sex would feel right now. I'd need like a bucket of lube.

It's not that I'm not in the mood. But with the PSD I've been dealing with the thought of having my legs splayed in any direction literally has me in tears. Poor DH. Luckily he's happy with, erm, other things.

Not the only ones. We've only had actual intercourse once, and have done other stuff 2 other times. That's it.

DH and I were successful this weekend in our sexual adventures but it was damn near impossible for me to keep my legs wrapped around him. Right now it's either me on top or doggie style because everything else is just uncomfortable. Not to mention that I just feel overly sensitive in a negative way when we do. It almost hurts anymore and is rather unenjoyable when I feel like that but I muster through in hopes that the good sensations come back.

Hubby hasn't been able to since we had my last u/s in late June haha the tech said or LO's head was super low and that's when he was like yea I'm done. It's a mental thing for him which normally he wanted it every other night. I'm ready to have normal sex again...that's for sure.

Super impressed with all you ladies still putting out. After last time I am DONE until PP which DH totally respects. It was good while it lasted (for being almost 9 months pregnant) but afterwards I swear I needed an ice pack for all the swelling and I couldn't walk. Insert "nope nope nope" gif. Also triggered a million contractions. The only chance I'd do it again would be to trigger labor down the line, but with how much I was hurting I wouldn't want to encourage pushing something out of there afterwards.

When I told FI that the OB can feel the baby's head when she pressed on my cervix he looked at me and got all freaked out and said "So when we have sex...I'm bumping him in the head"
And I was like "nooooooo, I mean a little....."
Because FI usually is bumping on my cervix in certain positions lol

I'm 37.5 weeks and my OB said at my last appointment no sex until 39 weeks because she's worried it could jump start things. I didn't think this was an actual thing but maybe she said it because I'm 4cm and 80% effaced. Either way, now it's all I can think about!

I asked my OB to check Claire's position because I wanted to know if I was feeling a baby head or a baby booty in this one spot, and she confirmed it was booty and her head was pretty low. I excitedly told H that she was head down because DD1 didn't go head down until like 36.5 weeks. His reply, "uh oh, no sex."

Alright, we finally had sex this morning, and it wasn't super painful!!! DH was thrilled, he was like one of those guys on the Cialis commercials all day with a big stupid grin on his face. I had 2 O's, so I'm happy. And it was first thing in the morning so it wasn't crazy hot and I didn't turn into a sweaty giant mess. I call that a win.

@PSUBecky23 Yeah, same here...though DH and I had sex yesterday for the first time in over a month and I've been cramping and having stupid BH every 10 minutes ever since (but it's not progressing from there). Not sure it's really worth it at this point... Other than for DH. The guy has been a Saint this last month. He deserves some TLC.

Oh and I totally have that book @marajay6 !! I got it at a party years ago and it has been lost in a drawer so I think I may show DH for next time since the only position that works for us is me on top. It is ok but I HATE looking down at myself and find myself wondering what he is thinking when he looks at my huge belly so I'd love to try some of the other positions you shared. Straight doggy-style def feels like a cactus is inside me so maybe using pillows or other variations suggested in the book will help. I love this thread!

Oh and side note, DH likes to tell me afterwards how everything has "shifted down there" after he takes care of me. I think he is trying to explain why maybe his rhythm is off or whatever but it is so embarrassing to hear! I know I am swollen and things are different than when not pregnant. It's not like I can see it though! I don't say anything because he continues to want to take care of me but I hate the play by play afterwards.

It had been like a month because I felt awful all the time. Last night I felt pretty good, things went well, it was great. Tried again this morning. Horrible, HORRIBLE cramps for 5+ hours afterward. Like I almost called out of work. I don't know if I can go through that again. Poor husband.

Since we are in the hell of transitioning DS from crib to toddler bed, we haven't had the energy for sexy time. I wish we had the time and energy more often.
