@homemake an hour away??? I would die! I love Panera too much. Their breakfast Mediterranean egg white sandwich is the bomb! I use Rapid Pick Up all the time. Never had a problem thankfully.
Hah my son is Remy and we come up with long ass nicknames. Like Rembo Baggins or Buns Lightyear
We did this when our son was a baby. His nn doesn't even go with his name. He was a super big chubby baby and we would call him the chumonka King it slowly got shortened to his now nn, he is called monka. I didn't want the chunky part to stick if he outgrew the Chubb and wanted to avoid any potential body issues, so that's why we are at Monka for his nn. His real name is Wyatt. Sometimes to annoy him we will call him wyetta. It's all in good fun and we make sure he knows that.
I'm glad you took out the Chunky part, Monka sounds cute! My parents nickname for me growing up was Pudgemuffin (I was quite chubby/pudgy as an infant) and while I don't know if my body issues are fully due to that I do have a very poor opinion of my body and battled anorexia in middle/high school. I get it chubby babies are adorable and I love babies with rolls but weight/chubby-ness will never be mentioned in nicknames for my kids.

But i think if you stick with soup,bagel,coffee,pastry...You can't go wrong. The other stuff is not stellar. I just love bread and they have a lot of it.
Every time we'd have lunch and learns at work from pharmacy reps, I would cringe when the staff would go ga-ga over panera. There were so many other cute deli/cafes nearby my work that I'd rather support a small local business!!
Also on the topic of nicknames. I hate when family members ask what we're going to nickname our kids and say the names picked out don't have a good nickname. I'm like PP that nicknames just kind of come. DS is Marshall and I call him mellow for marshmallow, and no-nee butt. Random as hell but the nicknames just come in time.
Another random: my little sister's period is 2 weeks late. Her bf is abusive, and does drugs. Her being with him has isolated her from our family and her own friends. She's taken dollar store tests which are negative, but is convinced she has symptoms. She's not the least bit concerned if she's pregnant or not and almost seems like she wants to be. I love her and would never wish her not to be, but I don't think she truly understand the depth of her situation and what kind of a potentially bad environment this could be. If I lived in town, I would just go buy her a first response or EPT or take her to get a damn blood test, but I can't and she claims she doesn't have the money to do so on her own.
ughhhh I hate feeling helpless but I'm also a bit annoyed at her nonchalance.
I'm not a huge panera fan either. It's not bad, but it's never great, either. I like the big vats of iced coffee with free refills, though. I would go just for that. The ones here are also stingy with the wifi.
My random is that I broke out the maternity jeans this weekend and OMG. Comfy. I was tired of buttoning my jeans using a hair tie.
Also, I am 1000% ready for summer to be over. But I also want time to slow down because i am NOT ready for this baby to be outside my body. It can take its time.
Edited because trigger happy. Posted before I was done.

Anyone else poring over baby gear? I already have most of the crap I need but I just.can't.stop.
We went to IKEA on Saturday and holy crap their baby corner is SO SO CUTE. I wanted to buy all the toys and sleeping bags and accessories and bedding and....
Anything besides the baguettes are pretty much terrible at Panera. H worked their in high school and I could get free food anytime I wanted. I never took advantage of it.
Random Rant: When people ask me how baby's doing, I get weirded out. I don't know how to answer that, I mean it's not like I'm able to see or talk to the baby..I get that they are just asking how the pregnancy is going and if everything is ok. But I just get all confused with my pregnancy brain and am like "I don't know, i THINK she's okay."
Off of @AfKash rant, I don't get why people ask how I'm doing, but then don't really care. My mil does it everytime she talks to me. She says how are you doing, I say pretty good. She asks a detailed question about nausea or morning sickness and as soon as I get a sentence out she cuts me off to talk about something she has going on. It's weird.

THIS. Someone asked me today how I was doing, I smiled and said "Good." Then they asked "And how's the baby?"...uhm....good? I honestly didn't know how to answer that. Glad I'm not the only one with this problem. I, too, think it's a super weird thing to ask.
@kswiger06 Do you say anything about it, or just move on? My mil does this too-- always has. She'll ask me about my life and interrupt me mid-sentence to start babbling about her garden. It's always about her garden. IDGAF about her garden. Like, at all. It happens so often that it doesn't even bother me anymore. She doesn't understand half of what I say to her, anyway, so I'm usually grateful to turn off my brain and adopt the blank stare and nod while she talks about her tomatoes.
@HeatSparks - that cracked me up. How tempted were you to say, "well, duh." ?
