Today is one of those days where it is raining nonstop. Since I was out of town over the weekend, not much laundry got done. The only pants I had clean are a bit too long, especially with the flip flops I am wearing these days - I gave up on shoes a few weeks ago. Long pants + flips flops are not fun walking across wet parking lots. Pair that up with taking a toddler to the doctor plus lunch (at the Panera located in the worst designed parking lot in the world), this hasn't been the greatest Monday. I am now back at work in soaking wet pants.
I already posted in Randoms that I was selected for a jury today, that will last about 2 weeks if it goes as they expect. GREAT! But that's not even my bitchfest. My bitchfest is that on top of sitting in a courtroom all day, next week I'll also have to go to my actual job for a few hours each evening. Normally I wouldn't care because it's a stupidly busy time at work and I know they need me... But pregnant me really cares and I forsee many crying breakdowns next week!! Fingers crossed for a speedier trial than expected
Mine is more of a whine. I decided to treat myself to a McDs milkshake. After pulling out I realized they forgot the straw and it was mostly liquid due the fact it's hot as f out here by the time I got back to my desk. Still tasty but more like chocolate milk than shake, just not the same.
Mine for the day is with my HOA. Apparently the previous homeowners ignored multiple letters requesting the house to be repainted and didn't feel the need to tell us either. We got a letter in the mail stating that if it wasn't done they would place a lien on the house. After explaining the situation to the HOA they granted us an extension, but never gave us a date. Well to our surprise they must have forgotten about said extension because we received a letter last week that we have until today (8/15) to turn in a color approval form and get the house painted by 9/16. A professional crew gave us an estimate of $3000..yeah no thanks. So now DH (and hopefully my parents) can get it painted by the deadline because I doubt I'll be much help since I'm due 9/1. UGH...our paint isn't even fading/chipping!
@COmama87 When did you purchase the house? I would suggest reaching out to the attorney that handled your closing. It may not matter one way or another, but if the previous homeowner's ignored the HOA's requests and also didn't disclose the need for repair during the selling process, they may be responsible for it! Again, it may not work out that way but it can't hurt to ask - I'd think if the HOA has proof of trying to contact the previous owners prior to the sale, you might have a shot against them. Your real estate attorney should be able to help! Good luck!
Still can't do my job because the drives are still down so I am trying to sneak out of work to go grocery shopping. Just hate sitting at work wasting time when there is a long list of crap to do before this baby comes.
@JennM205 we tried and our HOA kept giving us some bs excuse of being unable to track down the letters to the previous owners because they are buried in storage or some crap like that. Finally got tired of arguing with them. We planned on repainting when we bought the house but we were thinking more like late spring/early summer 2017.
DH is driving me insane. He helps around the house (which I'm very grateful for) but he never quite finishes things. He gets something about maybe 70% done before moving on to the next thing. So my entire day the past few days has been picking up after him and our DD. Normally it wouldn't bother me so much but my energy gets depleted so fast that I'm spent after picking up and putting their shit away. This leaves no energy for organizing the nursery or the regular/deep cleaning that I want to do.
And pretty much every other person in the world. It's hot and everyone is in my way.
ajn092 lol - I am your husband....I'm an excellent beginner of tasks and projects, but I don't always like finishing, especially now when I'm tired all the time. It annoys me too and I am the one doing it.
This might be flame-worthy, but my bitchfest is I am ready to have this baby (37 weeks last Friday). Either that or stop working. Today I sat in my car after lunch for at least 15 minutes, trying to figure out how I could justify going home to nap. Sigh...
@COmama87 Ugh, HOAs can be the worst! They're all over you because they've provided notice "x" number of times, most of which went to the previous owners, but they conveniently can't find proof of that contact? I'm sorry you're stuck going through that...maybe the silver lining is a pretty new color for your home!?

My BF is that we have all our home bills (electricity/heat, internet and cellphones) set up as automatic payments, because DH and I are TERRIBLE at remembering to pay bills. Well, my bank shit the bed the last couple of months and for some reason stopped paying our internet provider, but kept paying the other two companies. There's no way it's because of insufficient funds because I never let our main account get any lower than $1000, just so we have a cushion in case of emergency. So we didn't know that our internet account was not being paid, and I woke up this morning to no internet. They didn't even call or email us to let us know we were past due, which I find weird. So I paid the crazy huge bill, and called the company to let them know I paid it... was on hold for an hour and my stupid phone died! Called back, it's going to be another hour wait. So I get them to call me back. 2 hours later, I get a call back, but they said they couldn't turn our service back on until the payment cleared. After arguing with this useless rep for 15 minutes I asked to speak to the supervisor, who was like "oh just give me the confirmation number", done and done. I'm confused as to why the original rep couldn't have taken that information... I'm mainly annoyed at our bank, and the fact that I lost 3 hours in study time this afternoon, which makes me stress out about passing this stupid test.
@yellowrose314 eww my 2 least favorite things; banks and internet providers. Which is horrible, considering my husband works at a bank/credit union Glad you managed to get it sorted out, though. Usually asking for a supervisor will do the trick!
My bitchfest is that our A/C pooped out today. We arrived home from work to water all over our stairs & floor underneath unit. Landlord said the filter just needed cleaning...ummm, no. It is no longer releasing cool air and there was a waterfall coming from it. I am 36 weeks pregnant, hot, tired and cranky - call a repair man, dammit!!!!
Who knew ordering from Buy Buy Baby and using a 20% off coupon could be so difficult?! DH and I spent about an hour attempting to buy something online and had no luck. Every time I tried logging in it wouldn't work - then I tried resetting my password, but it wouldn't let me, presumably because I have an account on Bed Bath and Beyond or some other affiliate site?! Finally, we created a new account under DH and got the coupon loaded and made our purchase, but really BBB, why is it so difficult to spend money on your website? Worst part is I wasted a 20% off coupon by loading it to my account...lame!
I am beyond pissed off at my husband. Again. He really needs to get his shit together. It's all this dumb little shit that he says he's going to do and then never does. Stop saying you're going to call the floor people if you aren't. Stop saying you're going to start coming home from work at the actual time you are supposed to if you aren't. Stop saying you're going to grocery shop if you aren't. I'm so fucking sick of it. And then when I confront him about it, he "can't do everything". You seem to manage to find time to take a lot of naps and fuck around on your phone for hours so I'm pretty sure you can squeeze in picking up milk for our child.
@JennM205 our current house colors are a very light pinkish color with almost a mauve trim that do not match the brick at all. Hopefully they approve our new colors that actually enhance the color of our brick, but with their track record who knows...

Mine is I finally was able to rest. Both my kids were playing games quietly my dog was sleeping and being calm. I almost fell asleep for a nap, and my sister comes over with out calling. the dog goes crazy kids start fighting she wants to go to the store. I was annoyed.
My mom sometimes drives me crazy! She asked me if she could "borrow" all my children after the baby comes because a photographer she just used for pictures with her husband wants to try newborn pictures. As I told her months ago I have already put down money and hired a photographer who specializes in newborns. I was already disappointed when she didn't offer to help pay for the original photographer because she wants so many pictures always as is a lot better off than us, but to actually think I would let her take my boys and newborn daughter for who knows how many hours to someone I don't even know for more pictures. Umm yea, not going to happen!
So I managed to take the rest of the day off and finally went grocery shopping where I discovered that it's so uncomfortable to walk anywhere. Anyone else feel like their is a head trying to nudge it's way out of you vajayjay?? I'm over it.. 30 more days and counting.
My major BF is that the boys are supposed to start school on Wednesday and you'd think that they would have a good schedule established of what grades start when right!? No! I have no idea if DS2 starts this Wednesday or next. School board is totally getting an ear full from me tomorrow.
@toimadness1 not to mention that if they attempt certain poses of newborn photography and don't know the correct way of doing it, baby could be in danger. I've seen a lot of articles online about how to set up newborn poses and what is safe etc. Someone who is new at it wouldn't have the same training or knowledge as someone who's already a professional. I understand your concern!
