2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? NT scan next week!
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Tomorrow is DH and I's 2 year anniversary! He is out of town for work until Thursday so we won't be celebrating until Friday but super excited. We have had a rough second year of marriage with TTC and going through our loss in March but DH has been my rock and this experience has definitely showed me that for better or for worse we are there for each other no matter what- which is what marriage is all about!
Trying not to be nervous about the scan next week but can't help it- I need to put myself in a more positive state of mind. I even bought some maternity clothes this weekend against my better judgement because I just need to believe that all is well right now.
4. GTKY: What is your favorite movie of all time? I definitely love dramas and I also like suspense thrillers/and or movies that really make you think. So I would say it would be a cross between The Godfather or Inception.
@Spartanrd4 Happy anniversary! It's also our anniversary tomorrow (8 years). We were just talking about making plans and were pretty "meh" about it. DH sweetly told me all he needs is to be around me and that's enough for him. I hope you have a great celebration Friday!
1. How far along are you? 9w1d
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? NT scan, possibly hearing HB with the home Doppler we bought this weekend against my better judgement
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Excited to have a full week left of vacation to laze around and chill. Unfortunately, the forecast says mostly rain, so I'm going to read and watch movies and do a few chores and make some new recipes this week. Also, super tired of nausea. I never puke, but if I'm too full or too hungry (which is always) I feel queasy. Once I have a successful NT, I'll be happy for MS to move on!
Our best couple friends bought us a onesie back in March and finally gave it to us last night. It felt super weird to receive a gift. I'll be devastated if this pregnancy doesn't stick. Trying to remain hopeful.
4. GTKY: What is your favorite movie of all time? Goodfellas, hands down.
Happy Anniversary to you too @Wishilivedinflorida!! And goodfellas is a good choice, I love all gangster movies....casino, the departed, give them all to me!!
@Spartanrd4 I LOVE gangster movies! I will watch Goodfellas any time of day if it's on TV. It's bad. A close second is Pulp Fiction. I love Tarantino movies as well.
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? Hearing a HB again
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Fell down the stairs yesterday. Today I feel fine, but I'll be calling the OB clinic here soon anyway to see if they can get me in for a quick Doppler check this week. Part of me is feeling so fine that I'm worried I could be BSC. However, I had a MMC around 10.5 weeks last time, and spotting didn't start until almost 12 weeks. So while I'm glad that I'm not cramping and bleeding, that doesn't mean all is completely fine.
4. GTKY: What is your favorite movie of all time? Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Happy anniversary @Spartanrd4! Not being nervous is easier said than done for sure...praying all goes well at your scan next week!
1. How far along are you? 11w 2d
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? Always looking forward to the next appointment. And getting past that 12w mark.
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: This past week was actually pretty good. My second appt was Friday and we heard the babe's heart beating right on track. Also, I am so happy with my doctor. She is just wonderful! We also decided we were ready to start sharing the news this weekend. Up until now only our parents and a couple of very close friends knew, but now we've told our principals, (we are both teachers) some coworkers, and more friends. Telling people about our little one gives me so much joy. It is so comforting to know that we have the support, love, and prayers of so many wonderful people.
4. GTKY: What is your favorite movie of all time? My favorite movie of all time is Just Friends. This is the movie I have watched so many times I can quote just about the whole thing, and I will never not laugh.
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? I seriously just need to get through this week, please. If I make it to ten weeks it will be the longest I have ever been pregnant.
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: It's my hardest week because this is the week last time that I started bleeding, and it seems like everyone in our birth month club is having miscarriages . My heart breaks for them and it continues to be triggering my PGAL brain for me as well. It seems like our BMB is full of unfortunate circumstances - 5 more from this weekend alone...
4. GTKY: What is your favorite movie of all time? The Boondock Saints, The Princess Bride or Remember the Titans
Thanks @Wishilivedinflorida! The on-call OB assured me also that the baby is well-protected at this stage. She was kind though and said I could come into the clinic to hear the HB via Doppler for peace of mind.
@DaniBanani16 I had a rough PgAL day on Saturday, with the 5 losses being triggers for me also. This is around the same time last time that my baby stopped developing, and I'm on super high alert right now for anything concerning or "off." I just want to get past this stage, particularly since I'm back on contract in a few days.
@dubcompanion I am so sorry to hear about your fall!! I am sending prayers your way!
@Spartanrd4 and @Wishilivedinflorida happy anniversary to you both! I also have an anniversary this week! Wednesday, DH and I celebrate 3 years of marriage We don't "celebrate" like most couples... instead we just write letters to each other every year. We've been doing it since our wedding day and we keep them in a very private book.
@liepertsm congrats on a wonderful U/S, and how great it must be to have an OB you trust! Good luck in telling everyone!
I try not to let the TW posts trigger me but its hard- DH thinks I need to stay away from the internet for awhile but I'm like I can't stop talking to my bump friends! He understands its a good support system for me but can be a double edged sword as well seeing other people go through similar circumstances that we went through. I don't wish that on anyone and it makes me very sad.
Happy Anniversary to you also @DaniBanani16...August is a great month to get married!
@DaniBanani16 That's a really cute anniversary tradition!! Happy early anniversary to you too!
@liepertsm I'm so glad you had a wonderful weekend of hearing the HB and announcing!
@Spartanrd4 My heart goes out to those with losses on our BMB. Then I go over to the main loss board and see fellow former TTCAL and BMB posters... I really shouldn't do that but I don't feel right not following their stories either. I care for each of our gals (including all of you!) and don't want anyone to think that just because you've had a loss, that you are forgotten. Quite the opposite.
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? 1st appointment with high risk doctor on Thursday.
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Nothing at the moment. Just taking things day by day. As the days go on I feel more hopeful but then I also become afraid that a loss will be much harder to take. Would love to get past 12 weeks which was when I had my first loss.
4. GTKY: What is your favorite movie of all time? Casino
@dubcompanion Sending you prayers and positive vibes that everything is ok.
1. How far along are you? 10+5
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? Making it through the first trimester.
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: It's also DH and I's anniversary! 1 year down. I'm thankful that we were busy this weekend to keep my PGAL brain occupied. I've been having a rough time lately trying to keep my anxiety at bay.... I'm pretty much surviving off positive mantras as the moment. This week I finally started to allow myself to become "attached" to this pregnancy. I'm terrified that something will go wrong now that I let my guard down. Sorry guys for being a downer today. /
4. GTKY: What is your favorite movie of all time? I'm a sucker for all things Disney. I'll probably go with Beauty and the Beast.
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? Appointment tmw with a new to me midwifery practice. They are attached to the hospital where when DS was born I went to a freestanding birthing center. When my water broke while there, there was meconium which equated to my first ambulance ride. I'd like to avoid that this time. I've also heard that the midwives at this practice are better taken care of.
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: For the first time this morning I tried to get lo's HB on my Doppler. I couldn't get anything. Apparently it should picked up between 10-12 weeks so I'm trying not to worry. But it's hard after losses. Bleh. At least I only have to wait until tomorrow. Tmw is also what would have been my due date for one of the hardest losses we went through. So needless to say I'm simply an anxious wreck today.
4. GTKY: What is your favorite movie of all time? So hard. I'm not a huge sports fan but I think sports movies are always great. Funny, intense, emotional. Like the blind side for example.
@dubcompanion I'm so sorry to hear about your fall. Hope you're doing okay physically. It's great that they are going to get you in! Fx lo is doing well!
@DaniBanani16 Yes Remember the Titans! Fits my sports movie theory perfectly!
Quick update: All is okay!! Baby is measuring ahead at 10w1d and HB is 180. I think I'm more over the moon and relieved than I was at the 7-week appt. So far, things have been okay. And now it's just a 2.5-week wait until the NT scan.
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? This coming Thursday is my second ultrasound appointment after my BFP. I'm 39 and after several losses went through two rounds of IVF so I'm over the moon that I'm still pregnant right now. So looking forward to hearing the heartbeat for the second time, then if all looks good I "graduate" from the IVF clinic and my RE there, and they transfer my records to a regular OB. Then I follow a more typical ultrasound schedule.
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I'm experiencing really tremendous morning sickness, so although its been very hard, it's keeping me positive because I feel like the symptoms remind me that I'm pregnant.
4. GTKY: What is your favorite movie of all time? I'm not much of a movie-watcher but I just finished Stranger Things on netflix and since I binge-watched it, it was sort of like a movie?? It was so good!
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? our next appointment tomorrow....they'll do another ultrasound and do measurements and such...nervous and excited at the same time
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: went shopping at the Loft outlet and got lots of cute clothes that I should be able to wear during pregnancy too
4. GTKY: What is your favorite movie of all time? gah this is a hard one! I have no shame in admitting I love me some Disney movies

@Wishilivedinflorida Happy
anniversary! Hope you have a good week of lazy stay-cation.
@dubcompanion Sorry to
hear you took a tumble! I saw your post in the US thread. Glad everything
turned out alright!
@liepertsm Glad your
appointment went well last week and you heard your little one’s heartbeat. I
had my first appointment last week, so we just started to tell some immediate
family and close friends over the last few days. It is nice to be able to share
the joy and excitement with them –of course, with an attached gag order lol.
@DaniBanani16 I’m sorry
this week is tough for you. I will keep you in my T&Ps this week. It is sad
that we have had several miscarriages on our board recently. It can make you
(especially if you’re PGAL) nervous as your fear is realized in other’s lives.
Hopefully we won’t see more of these in the coming weeks and everyone will move
on to healthy and successful pregnancies. Also, on a happier note, happy
anniversary to you as well! I like your anniversary tradition. That is lovely.
@EALasagna45 Happy
anniversary to you too! We have a lot of August anniversaries in our group! Also,
like your movie pick! I’m also a big Disney nerd myself. I convinced DH to take
me to Disney World this December and I’m geeked out because I plan to eat at Be
Our Guest Restaurant. Specifically, the forbidden west wing. I’m so excited.
Just hoping Zika stays south of Orlando and doesn’t mess up my plans. Also, I’m
sorry you are having a tough PGAL time right now. It is definitely tough at
times. There are times where I feel “normal” and hopeful and other times where
I’m like, the bottom could drop out from beneath me at any moment ( ::Runs and
hides under rock:: ). One of our PGAL ladies said something that I really like
last time, which is that experiencing a loss robs us of our innocence. It
really can suck the joy out of what should be a happy time, when you are
worrying about experiencing another loss.
@vino831 I actually just ordered
a fetal doppler myself. It should be in today. I’m so excited and nervous at
the same time! DH was worried that if I try to use it and have a hard time
learning to find the heartbeat, that I will freak out when I don’t immediately
find something. So, I’m trying to prepare myself for this possibility. I even
went on youtube to watch videos demonstrating how to find the heartbeat and
what to listen for (since apparently there are multiple things you could
mistake for a heartbeat). I’m sorry you were not able to find anything this
morning. I wouldn’t worry if this was your first time trying to find the HB
(MUCH easier said than done I know). Hopefully the next time you take a crack
at it, your little one will cooperate and you find that strong heartbeat. Also,
Happy Anniversary to you too!
@mcondald-bailey Yay for
another Disney movie lover! Also, good luck with your NT scan next week!
@jenny0228 Sorry you are
having such terrible morning sickness. Hopefully that won’t last too long for
you. Also, good luck at your appointment this Thursday!
@ngcsugirl1112 Another fellow
Disney fan! Good luck at your appointment tomorrow! Also, I’m going outlet
shopping over Labor Day weekend. I love the Loft outlet! The outlets I’m
visiting will have a motherhood outlet, so I plan to stop in and pick up a few
maternity clothing basics.
2. Next
milestone you're looking forward to? 2nd Prenatal appointment
on September 6th. Will also mark the end of first trimester. I think
once I get to that point, I will start feeling more calm about everything.
3. Rant/Rave/Positive

friends. I told my parents last night, and they were super excited. It was a nice
moment.
4. GTKY:

never been able to enjoy it. Any other Disney movie is great.

@ngcsugirl1112 Best wishes for another great appt. tomorrow! How exciting to pick out some new clothes at the Loft outlet. Ann Taylor always has such cute apparel.
@dimple2 Best of luck for you too tomorrow! I hope you get to see a healthy LO wiggling around on screen.
@BelcherEars Ugh, I second disliking Pinocchio. It's just such a weird movie. The donkey part especially is really disturbing when you think about it as an adult. The entire story is just... bizarre.
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? Getting past the genetic screening test and once everything is good with that, I am looking forward to finding out if I am growing a little Mr or a little Ms.
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I feel so at ease after todays NT scan! Everything looked great and this little bun was just moving and swimming around and stretching and just having a party in my tummy. Haha! Then decided to fall asleep while the tech was trying to get measurements. Its so tough being a bouncy little fetus. Haha
4. GTKY: What is your favorite movie of all time? The Notebook! Aaaah I just love it! Followed by the silly Napoleon Dynamite!
