I'm 15 weeks and read that during week 16 baby can start hearing your voice. So I told my husband to come near my belly and talk to the baby. He came near my belly and just started crying quietly. He's such a softie!!
I hadn't had the appetite for it since my bfp, but I enjoyed an awesome steak last night! It was so nice to eat one of my favorite foods without feeling completely ill afterwards. Hope this means the nausea and aversions are finally on their way out.

In the bouts between MS I have been working on this blanket for the gummy lizard. It's the only yarn that I could find which was colorful, but not all pastels for babies. I kind of love it. Sorry if the pic is huge, I'm always mobile so I can't tell.
My daughter sent me into one of my biggest fears last night. She has a lava lamp in her room that we let her turn on when she goes to bed, then I sneak in and turn it off when I'm ready for bed. The kids went to bed, I set the timer on the t.v. downstairs and I went up to my room. When I got ready to fall asleep, I went into DDs room to turn the light off, and she wasn't in bed!! I looked in the bathroom, nothing. I went back to her room and looked under her bed, on the floor, everywhere in case she moved to the floor. (She moves to the floor sometimes, idk why) then I looked all around in our son's room, nope not there. At this point I started panicking, I grabbed my phone and literally ran down our steps, and TA-DA!!! I could see her, she was lying on the couch watching t.v. because the timer was still going. Whew, deep breaths. She told me she couldn't sleep and asked if she could sleep with me, and by that point I practically shouted YES YOU CAN SLEEP WITH ME! I was so stressed it took forever to fall asleep. Holy hell that scared me.
That is awesome @WinchesterGirl I love that it has lots of colors but no pastels, I'm not really into the pastels either. I have so many blankets I've started and never finished... Maybe I can finish a baby sized blanket haha!
I finally found a sports bra at target that doesn't make my boobs look a uni-boob! It might also help that I finally just bought the correct size instead of trying to squeeze into my pre-pregnancy sports bras.

@marriedhamstermom baby-sized projects are my favorite. They are so quick! I have a large lap blanket I have been working on for our living room for like... two years. Every time I finish a smaller project, I haul it out and put a few more rows on it to feel like I am still making progress.
@NiceyMeany DH gets the credit for that name! It has really stuck though.
We cleaned out our storage room this weekend so we can make our office the nursery. I was super proud of Hubs-- hes kind of a pack rat and was making the decision to sell or donate a lot of stuff. So now we have a large pile of "donate" items now hanging in the basement... then it rained for 2 days (of the 10 it is supposed to rain) and my basement flooded. Awesome.
We are debating the name Simone after being so incredibly inspired by Simone Biles and Simone Manuel this year at the Olympics. Full name would Simone Joy or Simone Judea "Cushion" (I'll just say our last name is a major western religion that sounds like cushion). I wonder how popular the name is going to get, according to SSA its in the 800's- do we think it will be top 200/300 for 2016/2017?

@peachesnbean I bet Simone will increase in popularity, but honestly, I wouldn't care. Simone Joy and Simone Judea are both beautiful (I'm personally partial to Joy!), and to have your name inspired by two badass Olympians does not suck.
@NiceyMeany - Right!? Thank you, I am not sure which one DH would go for more. The agreed mn is Josephine but I don't like all the n sounds in Simone Josephine Cushion.
related: I posted a poll on the baby name board about the expected surge of this name.

@Gingersnap - Oh thats cute! A friend I ran the name by asked me nn options, I am not huge on"formal" nick names like Nick for Nicholas or Allie for Allison, I like names that can have informal options but you would never really ask someone to call you that, KWIM? I thought of Simmy. But it would be whatever organically popped out. Our Esme we call Ezzie. Phoebe Jane turned into PJ turned into Peej turned into Peaches.

My son lost ninja turtle accessories because he kept poking himself in the eye with them. Now he doesn't love me anymore and we are no longer best friends.
My sister got pregnant a month before me, so she is one month ahead of me on everything. She really, really wants a boy, but has a gut feeling it's a girl. In contrast, I really, really want a girl, but I kinda feel like it's a boy. She gets her anatomy scan today...and I'm really hoping it's boy...because if her gut is wrong...so is mine. That's how that works, right?

I always thought Phoebe is a pretty name but sort of forgot about it. Just reading that made me go hmmmm Phoebe might be good.
I don't get shortening names to the same length. Like a two syllable nn for a two syllable name. I mean, I don't dislike it or anything, I just don't understand it.
Another name one, DD is Violet and I usually type out Vi (I say it Vee in my head) but I never shorten her name when actually saying it. It really irks me when people shorten it IRL. Even though I technically do in text.
Has anyone ever used the online ordering at Panera? I tried it today and was completely disappointed. After checking on my order twice, I finally received it 30 minutes after the stated pick-up time. Even then they still weren't showing the order and only made it because I showed them my e-mail confirmation with the pick-up time. It would have been faster if I'd ordered when I got there which completely defeats the point.
I'm both really aggravated and sad because I was hoping that would be my gateway to being able to have Panera for lunch more.
@silvercamaro77 That's so weird, I literally use it once a week (chicken caesar salads are a big craving of mine) and have never had an issue. Maybe it varies from location to location or it was just an off day, but I swear I always use it with no problems.
@silvercamaro77 - I do the Rapid Pick-Up at Panera all the time. The only issues I've had is if they are out of something (a specific pastry, etc.) and they don't call to ask about a substitution. Otherwise, I order from my desk and my food is waiting by the time I drive down and find parking, usually about 15 minutes.
@silvercamaro77 I say give it one more go. Maybe it was just a bad day. If you do it again and have the same issues, the you know for sure they just suck at it.
Hah my son is Remy and we come up with long ass nicknames. Like Rembo Baggins or Buns Lightyear
We did this when our son was a baby. His nn doesn't even go with his name. He was a super big chubby baby and we would call him the chumonka King it slowly got shortened to his now nn, he is called monka. I didn't want the chunky part to stick if he outgrew the Chubb and wanted to avoid any potential body issues, so that's why we are at Monka for his nn. His real name is Wyatt. Sometimes to annoy him we will call him wyetta. It's all in good fun and we make sure he knows that.
We have two sleeping beauties in heaven. Jack gained his wings on 09/02/2016. Kali gained her wings on 07/28/2015. They will be forever missed.
Okay, since other people have had success and there really isn't a substitute for their potato soup, I'll try it again. I'll just make sure it's a day I have extra time to spare, just in case.
@PerraSucia I love the name Remy and was pushing hard last time before we found out we were having a girl, although I know a girl Remy. My husband wasn't as into it as I was.
I don't have any experience with the Panera ordering situation but I love Panera! Bread bowls and bagels ... Yum. I love their coffee too. If only the closest one wasn't an hour away.
