Hi! So I'm a first time mom, which hopefully can justify the silliness of my question. My daughter is almost 3 months, though many of her 3 months pants are getting short and her onesies kind of snug. Does this mean she should already be moving to 6 month clothes? I know sizes are sometimes kind of weird, but that just sounds funny too, a not yet 3 month old wearing 6 month clothing. Thank you!
Our little man has been in 6 month clothes for 2 months already and probably ready for 9 month clothes in a couple of weeks. He's been in size 2 diapers too. He just turned 3 months old. .
I'm a ftm too and our son just turned 3 months. He is really long so pants he has to wear more like 9 months for the length except he's skinny so he is more like 6 month. Babies are really odd for what they wear. Usually has nothing to do with how old they really are. Our son has been in size 2 diapers for about a month too. But remember all babies are different.
In my experience, the labels on the clothes generally mean "up to" the written age, not "starting at" that age. Clothes labeled 3m generally are the same as ones labeled 0-3m. So your baby probably needs ones labeled 3-6m or just plain 6m. Some brands run bigger (Gymboree for example is usually bigger than Carters) but the majority seem to follow this sizing pattern.
