34 weeks today.

How are you feeling?

Getting over a summer cold but good overall.

Upcoming appointments?

36 weeks in a couple weeks. Get to do GBS screen. Will be last two weeks appointment then on to every week.

Rants/Raves/Questions:

Oh carpal tunnel how I loathe thee. Have to wear a brace on each wrist to get any sleep. And right thumb is almost always numb.

GTKY: How are you surviving this incredibly hot, dry, and humid summer?
Barely. Not use to it being this bad here in the Midwest. Originally from the south so I know how bad it can be, but hot and humid is a different beast when you're pregnant. I pretty avoid the outdoors unless there is a pool nearby.

What size is baby? winter melon

How are you feeling? Soooooo stuffed with baby. I'm firmly in the ten-minutes-to-flip-over-in-bed stage. Then I'm winded once I get on my other side. And I wake up with awful hip pain. Can't wait to get this baby out of me!

Upcoming appointments? Check-up on Thursday, but I might be calling in tomorrow because I've started getting itchy feet and the cholestasis thread has me super paranoid now, haha...

Rants/Raves/Questions: Rave: my new nursery chair came in and it is the comfiest! It's a Tryp recliner by Best Chairs Story Time Series, and I loooove it. DS1 has a chair from the same series, though it's not a recliner, just a glider and rocker, and it is one of the coziest chairs in the house. We still read books in it every day. I'm glad both boys will have their own cushy reading spots.

GTKY: How are you surviving this incredibly hot, dry, and humid summer? We stay indoors a ton. As of the beginning of August, I have made it clear to everyone I know that I will no longer be available for any outside engagements until after the baby is born.

at my doctors appointment on Wednesday he weighed 6 lbs 10 oz

Very ready to have this baby

Rants/Raves/Questions:

I'm already dilated to a 3 so I have a feeling he is coming very soon! I've also been slowly losing my mucus plug for the past 2 weeks.

GTKY: How are you surviving this incredibly hot, dry, and humid summer?
I live in Oklahoma so it's been 100 degrees and like 70 percent humidity every day. I walk outside and can barely breathe lol. I try to just stay inside

What size is baby? Pineapple

How are you feeling? I think baby has dropped so I'm feeling more pressure down there and more discomfort when I walk. On the other side of that coin, my heartburn and digestion haven't been as bad. My back is also still giving me issues so I have been pretty limited in how much I can do around the house.

Rants/Raves/Questions: My baby shower is today and I'm super excited!

GTKY: How are you surviving this incredibly hot, dry, and humid summer? Our summer has been a good mixture of sun and rain with only 1 or 2 weeks of it being in the 80s. I was pretty miserable then since none of the houses/buildings have air conditioning but for the most part I have just been staying inside.

How are you feeling? Pretty run down. Sleep is just not enjoyable anymore. My hips and shoulders are so incredible sore from sleeping on my sides, so DH got like every pillow in the house to prop me up so I could lie on my back, but I always find myself waking up on my side. Heartburn has tamped down a bit and I'm peeing every 10 minutes, so I know baby girl has moved down a bunch.

Upcoming appointments? I start my weekly NST's on Tuesday, then meeting with the diabetic nurse on Weds.

Rants/Raves/Questions: I don't know why in the hell I thought it was a good idea to schedule my RN board exam towards the end of my pregnancy... I wanted to work as much as I could, and didn't see fitting studying in there, so I scheduled it for the end of August. But now I have baby brain, and I'm constantly wanting to put it off so I can indulge my nesting urge. Even now, I should be studying. Also, every single person in my graduating class who's taken the NCLEX so far has passed, so I feel like there's this huge amount of pressure to pass as well. I don't want to be the only person who fails it the first time.

GTKY: How are you surviving this incredibly hot, dry, and humid summer? Our summer on the west coast has actually been pretty mild. We've been having a lot of cool rainy weather which is a huge change from the last 4 years where we've seen virtually no rain from May-September and suffered a lot of drought and very dry conditions that make forest fires in BC a huge problem. Normally I'd be pissed that my summer has been crappy, but I love the cool rainy weather where I don't sweat through my shirt 5 minutes after putting it on. Of course now we're going into a forecasted 2 week stretch where it's supposed to be upwards of 25 degrees (celsius) plus humidity which makes it feel like 32... which is hot for where I live.

Rants/Raves/Questions: My threenager is pushing me over the edge, I honestly don't know how I'm going to survive him and a newborn :'(

GTKY: How are you surviving this incredibly hot, dry, and humid summer? It's been good up until this week- gave in and installed ACs and have been hiding out or beaching it.

Ps: sorry for the bold type, it drives me nuts but I don't have the patience to fix it!!

Tired and I've had an upset stomach the last couple of days. And thirsty. Perpetually thirsty.

Upcoming appointments?

Last prenatal appointment before my c-section (not yet scheduled, but it'll be between 8/22 and 8/24) on Friday!

Rants/Raves/Questions:

I'm afraid I'm not going to make it to my scheduled C/S. At this point, I just want to be able to relax and know when it's coming.

GTKY: How are you surviving this incredibly hot, dry, and humid summer?

Drinking more than I've ever drank in my life. I'm normally never thirsty and now I'm never not thirsty. I was swimming regularly, but now I feel too swollen and tired to get to the pool.

Today was my last day at job #1. Im so excited to be done with that. Otherwise I feel tired and hot but well

fans... All the fans. We have three in our bedroom. Im trying to stay inside but I have no ac at home so that's not always the best plan

How far along? I'm forever behind on this! 37 weeks as of Saturday.

What size is baby? Romaine Lettuce

How are you feeling? well I had been feeling great up until this weekend. I think the pregnancy has finally taken hold of my body. Didn't help it was 100+ with the heat index here this weekend.

Upcoming appointments? I have one on Tuesday! With all this cramping and pressure I'm interested to see if there's been any progression (probably nothing though).

Rants/Raves/Questions: nothing in particular, I'm just over working at the moment.

GTKY: How are you surviving this incredibly hot, dry, and humid summer? I handle heat fairly well but being pregnant in the summer has been a whole new ballpark for me. I get up super early to do a 2-mile walk every morning before work and the rest of the day, the dog and I do shorter walks to get out of the house. Other than that, I am spending most of my time indoors.
