Just wanted to add to the discussion: we agreed to not make spreadsheets or lists as they wouldn't be necessary and to ensure they don't get accidentally released as has happened before. The folks that want to be added would just PM the mods with their FB email.

I think + @yellowrose314 who accepted the nominee position and - @AnnaS930 who declined due to group size but volunteered for a potential smaller group

Good idea. I can jump on FB and poke around to create a private group, if that works, or I can be one of the people that gets PM'd with the emails. Maybe we can have people email one of three or four instead of two? Just in case we need more coverage.

I'd say go ahead and start the private group, then we can PM you for invites. From there, the point people will have a convenient place to confirm members with the other admins.
Group has been created. We can reach out to eeeeveryone tomorrow (or whenever you guys want) in a post requesting they start sending us either their email (preferred) or FB name. If the following ladies @Jabreen@diagonalley@Megan324@yellowrose314 and @PSUBecky23 (if you're down like chinatown ) can send me their information when they can, I'll add them as admins so they can add people and do whatever.

So I'm having no luck adding people by name, only email. I think we should ask people to send us their email only instead of email or name. When I try to add people by name I only get a list of people around me or around my group of friends. Weird. Maybe the other admins can add by name?
That's a good point; I had to change my privacy settings to allow people to search me by email or name. I went to Settings, then Privacy, and where it says "who can look you up using the email address you've provided?" you check off everyone. Just make sure the email address you give us matches the one listed as your primary under your Facebook account.
Thanks for all the organizing and yes, I'm all for participating but not quite at the admin level since this could be a group bigger than I end up being comfortable with... but I'm super excited to get a feel for it.

Thanks ladies for taking the initiative on setting up the group! I've just realized that I have no idea which email I have associated with my Facebook and I'm pretty sure my privacy settings make me unsearchable. @yellowrose314 Glad you put that reminder on how to change your settings.

I am a part of a FB group of Infertility ladies that spun off a message board and when you're adding members that you're not FB friends with, you can only add them by email address. If you try to search by name, it will only pull up people you are currently FB friends with.

I've been able to add everyone (only the admins have been added) by email, regardless of whether they're searchable or not. FB sends a request even if their profile doesn't come up in a search.

Possibly. I have my profile pretty locked down but I am not sure if it includes email addresses. When it's an email invite to the group, you won't get the request through FB - the invite will be sent to your email address and you accept/join from there. FB changes its privacy settings so frequently I have such a hard time keeping up with changes and have had to go back and check things occasionally.
You can check to see what email address you use on FB if you go to the website, then Settings, then General. It'll pull up your General Account Settings and it'll show your email you're using to log in!!
I think you can go ahead and send one of us your email by PM whenever you'd like (other Admins feel free to correct me, though!). We're finalizing stuff on FB now, so we'll get invites sent out to you ASAP!
I have to change my email on FB because apparently it is still attached to my undergrad college email that is DEF no longer activated?!? I will try and mess around and PM an admin. Thanks for doing this ladies!
@smallinetta I had to do this for the same reason yesterday You should just be able to click Edit next to your contact email, add another, then tick it off for the primary. Not sure about Mobile instructions, though!
