Well, unfortunately I miscarried yesterday. This pregnancy was filled with off and on spotting from before I even took a pregnancy test when wiping that ranged in color from really light pink to brown. I'm overseas and didn't want to go to a doctor until returning home which was supposed to be next week. I had lots of nausea, breasts hurt, dizziness, bloating etc and just felt pregnant. Then two nights ago, I had a vivid dream that I miscarried the baby who was still wrapped in its bag of water and was white. From that dream, I knew something was wrong and went to a hospital. They did an ultrasound and could see nothing in my uterus and thought there may be an ectopic somewhere. They did a blood count and my levels were only 750. I was scared to death at the prospects of having to potentially undergo surgery if something ruptured in a foreign country. The doc wanted to repeat the blood count test the next day and thankfully the level went down to 500 which indicated to them that I was passing the baby even if it were ectopic (which we'll never know if it was. That same day I started cramping and eventually the cramps turned heavy and painful like contractions which I dealt with for hours straight and then they spaced. I'm still having a few niggles and occasional contractions but I'm hanging in there. DH and I are unsure if we'll try again. The ectopic thig really scared both of us. Wishing all you beautiful ladies a healthy and happy remainder of your pregnancies and sincerely hoping I'm the last loss for March 2017. Farewell to all.

My cousin had an ectopic pregancy--when she had an IUD. She hadn't even known she was pregnant until something happened and it was painful enough she went to the ER. I'm not sure if her tube burst or they were able to salvage it. BUT, here is the good part of the story. Since then, she has gone on to have three healthy children. So while ectopics do happen, and they can be very scary, they are still the exception and not the rule. It's completely possible to go on to have a healthy pregnancy after an ectopic. That's not to say that you guys should try or not try again. All it means is that if you do want to try again, I hope that that won't scare you off. All the best wishes from all of us. Please let us know if there is anything we can do for you.
