I'm still having pain from the procedure and the occasional wave of nausea. my last bw came back at 10000 for estrogen which was 3 days before ER so who knows what it was yesterday. woah 43 is a lot! you must have felt so full and ergh.. looks like you're not far away from your FET.

AFM.. I'm wondering if anyone else was still in pain the following day after ER? I'm still feeling it, nothing too bad but I just can't remember feeling this way after my last cycle. I also vomited twice afterwards, I'm hoping it was just a reaction to the sedative and meds they gave me. If I'm still feeling this way tomorrow I may have to pull out for this cycle if its OHSS. We also got out fertilisation results back.. 13 fertilised naturally, these little ones need to keep growing and growing. I'm also feeling a little down as my Dr didn't seem too hopeful about this cycle when we spoke after ER. Trying to stay positive but I'm just having one of those days...

@teriulbricht sorry you're not feeling too well. I didn't feel the best the day after ER either. Better then day 1 but still couch bound. 13 fertilized is great!! FX for your embabies!!
@teriulbricht. Thanks! Congrats on your ER. Why did the dr not feel positive? 13 eggs fertilized is great! As for the pain after, I can say I felt so great the day of just getting those follicles out of there that I didn't notice much else. They put meds in the IV to stop nausea so I guess that worked. But yes, they said without it lots of people get sick after. The days after (even still) I had up and down bloating and pangs here and there. Some times more sore than others. I was overstimmed and we had to go to a freeze all. While I am not thrilled because I would be getting a beta by now, I do feel like my body is becoming my body again and that feels good.

@teriulbricht - I didn't feel even near normal until 3 days after ER, and the heating pad was my best friend! Your numbers sound pretty great to me...we had 15 retrieved, 14 mature, 7 fertilized.

@Joslynj11 - as far as symptoms...the SOREST boobs ever. But thought this was progesterone as it started before transfer but got so bad in the last few days, it wakes me from sleep if I turn over. Also tired...took a nap both of the last 2 days (not like me) and a little lightheaded when I stand up and a tiny bit nauseated, but cure able with a snack.

AFM I actually don't think I have posted an update since my egg retrieval last week - things got crazy with the move to our new house and they have now settled down in time for me to be watching the minutes pass post-transfer
Had my egg retrieval 8/1, they got 28 eggs, 27 were mature, 26 fertilized. We were planning to do a fresh transfer with PGS testing but at the retrieval my RE said it may not happen bc my CM has been coming and going as it pleases and that may make it not optimal to do a transfer, but we would see how many embryos we got and if I had any CM day of transfer.
Between ER and ET we didn't get to find out ANYTHING about our embryos (except fertilization #) until the day of the possible transfer, which was tough but basically found out day of that we had 5 embryos come back normal from the testing - 4 boys and a girl! I had no CM that day (but RE said he wasn't convinced it wouldn't come back) so we transferred the second best boy (5BB) just bc RE said chances this month were lower than if I waited and did a frozen, and that we should save our best one for 2nd cycle in case this doesn't work out. He said he thought I have a 60% chance of embryo implanting this month but it would be an 80% chance if (and when) I do frozen.
I think that is still good chances, I just hope I didn't waste one of our embabies because I was too impatient to wait for a FET.

I received bad news. We are not transferring today, or ever. Of the 8 embryos, 7 were abnormal and 1 was degraded DNA. DH and I have decided to end this road permanently. I thought we would have at least 1 good embryo, so today's news is unexpected and depressing. Best of luck to the rest of you.

I have had a full and active stomach since last Thursday and I think I felt some uterus pinching last Thursday/Friday and Saturday so hopefully that was implantation. I only test once but threw it out after 5 mins and never checked it again so who knows! I am going crazy over here, but trying to stay positive of course

@RVloution We did a fresh transfer and got a BFN. During "the call", my RE told me that my estrogen was OUT THE ROOF and was not optimal for conception (gee thanks for the after thought). Kind of sad we "wasted" and embryo, but a 60% chance is pretty high!! We knew going in that a FET had better probability, but were willing to take the risk since we had 12 embryos. So I totally understand where you are coming from! It didn't end up pushing us back at all since RE said she would've had me take July off either way for my estrogen to come down. Ultimately I do not regret our decision! GL to you!!!

@LittleSunshine Well I didn't end up picking him up from work because he was too excited and came home early lol! He called and tried to get info from me, but I put on my poker... voice?... and told him to just come home! He walked in door and I held up the digital test so he could see. He got teary and hugged me. So sweet. Started immediately talking about where the crib would go and how we need to rearrange things.
@Joslynj11 symtoms for me: cramping similar to AF (dull and achy), fatigue (taking naps to get through the day, EXHAUSTED at 9pm), sore/swollen breasts, headache, and a new one at started yesterday: backache. It never felt SO good to feel bad LOL!

Scanned day 9 just to check, some growth, 3 days 200 mg clomid, day 12 more growth, 100 follistim, 75 menopur, start ganirelix on day 13, ER = 0 eggs, ovulated to soon ( ) IVF#4 scheduled Sept 2016 - Microdose Flare protocol, cancelled stim day 6 converted to IUI (one dominant follicle) IUI cancelled ovulated too soon again. Taking a mental health break. IVF#5 December 2016 - New protocol, same results. My adventure is over.
@stranzm So very sorry for the bad news from the PGS testing. I hope that if you decide you still wish to grow your family in the future that you will be able to do so another way. That is such depressing news to digest. So sorry.

Afm, I had my retrieval on Sunday morning. 30 eggs were retrieved, so I'm on high OHSS watch. Multiple nurses have told me to make sure I follow the strict high protein, salt, and electrolyte diet, and to weigh myself everyday.
Of the 30 eggs, 23 were mature, and 17 fertilized normally with ICSI. I was told that we would not get another update about the embryos unless something terrible happens, and they will call Thursday to schedule our transfer for Friday.
Has anyone experienced the pressure, and what seems like really bad gas pains in their abdomen and stomach after retrieval? I have tried the heating pad to help, but it doesn't seem to be doing anything.

AFM- today has been a hard day. I had my first check in after 3 days of stims, and feeling very deflated now. My right (bum) ovary didn't have any follies which wasn't that surprising, but the left only had 7 so far (11, 8, and then 5 under 8). My AFC on the left was 10 at baseline, so was really hoping for closer to 10 and for them to be more measurable. I know its early, but I'm just terrified I may not even get to ER (they won't do it without 3-4 mature) and if I do, I may only get a few eggs. I realize it only takes 1 and I am fortunate to be relatively young so hopefully the eggs would be good quality, but this is the most scared I have been throughout this whole journey. They are upping my follistim from 350 to 400 and I'm adding in low dose HCG. I go back on Thursday and I am praying for better news.

@kk4564 I had my ER last Wednesday 8/2, and today is the first day I don't notice any sort of fullness/pressure. Granted I wasn't in true pain, but it was uncomfortable. My RE said it was normal. Hang in there!

i talked to my nurse today and i was originally told beta was sunday by the ivf center but i knew my clinic wasn't open then so as i suspected i have to wait until monday for beta....so far the wait has been better this time around. i feel like i haven't allowed myself to count my chickens yet so i dont get too excited and into baby lala land.

AFM- DH and I just arrived in Vegas! We've both been here a million times, but never with each other, so it's a special experience. We're seeing Michael Jackson One tonight, which we're both super excited for! The only part that I have mixed feelings about is that my period started in full force this morning. I hate bleeding like this in Vegas, but at the same time I'm stoked because now I can start my BCPs again to prepare my body for FET! My understanding is that I need to be on them for about 3 weeks before baseline, so I guess that starts now. I'll find out more when we have our FET education class on the 17th.
Still no word about our PGS results. I'm expecting those soon though. Please think NORMAL thoughts for me y'all! We need good news, as these 8 embabies are our only hope!

@KirstenCas You have 4, they may be slow growing, but they're there! Hopefully the stims will accelerate the process. If they only do retrievals does that mean you need to go to another clinic for the transfer?
@lilmissslp I think she was wanting lower numbers of high quality eggs as thats what she seems to think went wrong with my first IVF cycle. I think the logic is that fewer follicles have to compete less for resources to grow, therefore they would be of better quality than lots of eggs that had to share the resources. I've done acupuncture and taken CoQ10 as well as a different protocol so hopefully all those things together will have produced better quality eggs.
Thanks @happydays13 I'm glad I'm not alone in feeling a bit cruddy after ER. I've woken up this morning feeling a little less sore which I hope continues through the day. Good luck with the first beta!
@RVloution ah wow!! this gives me hope. So I'm ok to have a heat pack? Wasn't sure if I should be placing heat on my tummy, I've heard you're not meant to overheat that area, but that could be after transfer? Congrats on your transfer! I hope that its a sticky little bean, and knowing its going to be a boy is amazing! Gosh technology amazes me!
@kk4564 I'm sorry you're feeling crappy also. I'm not sure if its the same, but when I go to the toilet I'm in agony, I think its my bladder muscle contracting and relaxing, or maybe my ovaries are so enlarged that they're getting pushed on? If you're overly worried maybe call the nurses?
@JamieH2000 I think those numbers are ok. My first scan wasn't until over a week after stims so I'm not really sure what numbers to expect. Fingers crossed for better results on thursday.

AFM.. I'm wondering if anyone else was still in pain the following day after ER? I'm still feeling it, nothing too bad but I just can't remember feeling this way after my last cycle. I also vomited twice afterwards, I'm hoping it was just a reaction to the sedative and meds they gave me. If I'm still feeling this way tomorrow I may have to pull out for this cycle if its OHSS.
We also got out fertilisation results back.. 13 fertilised naturally, these little ones need to keep growing and growing. I'm also feeling a little down as my Dr didn't seem too hopeful about this cycle when we spoke after ER. Trying to stay positive but I'm just having one of those days...

@teriulbricht I felt pretty awful for several days following my ER. The tylenol + codeine my doctor gave me plus heating pad was my best friend because of how enlarged my ovaries felt (they retrieved 28 eggs). I was so worried that I would hyper stimulate, but I ended up being healthy enough to do a transfer this past Sunday. FX that you will be able to do a transfer as well!!

I actually don't think I have posted an update since my egg retrieval last week - things got crazy with the move to our new house and they have now settled down in time for me to be watching the minutes pass post-transfer
Had my egg retrieval 8/1, they got 28 eggs, 27 were mature, 26 fertilized. We were planning to do a fresh transfer with PGS testing but at the retrieval my RE said it may not happen bc my CM has been coming and going as it pleases and that may make it not optimal to do a transfer, but we would see how many embryos we got and if I had any CM day of transfer.
Between ER and ET we didn't get to find out ANYTHING about our embryos (except fertilization #) until the day of the possible transfer, which was tough but basically found out day of that we had 5 embryos come back normal from the testing - 4 boys and a girl! I had no CM that day (but RE said he wasn't convinced it wouldn't come back) so we transferred the second best boy (5BB) just bc RE said chances this month were lower than if I waited and did a frozen, and that we should save our best one for 2nd cycle in case this doesn't work out. He said he thought I have a 60% chance of embryo implanting this month but it would be an 80% chance if (and when) I do frozen.
I think that is still good chances, I just hope I didn't waste one of our embabies because I was too impatient to wait for a FET.

@Happydays13 thanks for some insight into some of your symptoms! I have had a full and active stomach since last Thursday and I think I felt some uterus pinching last Thursday/Friday and Saturday so hopefully that was implantation. I only test once but threw it out after 5 mins and never checked it again so who knows! I am going crazy over here, but trying to stay positive of course

@LittleSunshine Well I didn't end up picking him up from work because he was too excited and came home early lol! He called and tried to get info from me, but I put on my poker... voice?... and told him to just come home! He walked in door and I held up the digital test so he could see. He got teary and hugged me. So sweet. Started immediately talking about where the crib would go and how we need to rearrange things.
@Joslynj11 symtoms for me: cramping similar to AF (dull and achy), fatigue (taking naps to get through the day, EXHAUSTED at 9pm), sore/swollen breasts, headache, and a new one at started yesterday: backache. It never felt SO good to feel bad LOL!

@teriulbricht , I am 2 days post retrieval, and I'm still really uncomfortable. Its not pain, but I feel a ton of pressure in my abdomen and stomach. The nurse assured me it was normal, but I was really hoping to wake up this morning feeling closer to normal.
Afm, I had my retrieval on Sunday morning. 30 eggs were retrieved, so I'm on high OHSS watch. Multiple nurses have told me to make sure I follow the strict high protein, salt, and electrolyte diet, and to weigh myself everyday.
Of the 30 eggs, 23 were mature, and 17 fertilized normally with ICSI. I was told that we would not get another update about the embryos unless something terrible happens, and they will call Thursday to schedule our transfer for Friday.
Has anyone experienced the pressure, and what seems like really bad gas pains in their abdomen and stomach after retrieval? I have tried the heating pad to help, but it doesn't seem to be doing anything.

AFM- today has been a hard day. I had my first check in after 3 days of stims, and feeling very deflated now. My right (bum) ovary didn't have any follies which wasn't that surprising, but the left only had 7 so far (11, 8, and then 5 under 8). My AFC on the left was 10 at baseline, so was really hoping for closer to 10 and for them to be more measurable. I know its early, but I'm just terrified I may not even get to ER (they won't do it without 3-4 mature) and if I do, I may only get a few eggs. I realize it only takes 1 and I am fortunate to be relatively young so hopefully the eggs would be good quality, but this is the most scared I have been throughout this whole journey. They are upping my follistim from 350 to 400 and I'm adding in low dose HCG. I go back on Thursday and I am praying for better news.
Diagnosis: Mild Endo, DOR (AMH of 1.5), Poor Quality Eggs/embryos, Displaced Window of Implantation (ERA Post Receptive)

i talked to my nurse today and i was originally told beta was sunday by the ivf center but i knew my clinic wasn't open then so as i suspected i have to wait until monday for beta....so far the wait has been better this time around. i feel like i haven't allowed myself to count my chickens yet so i dont get too excited and into baby lala land.
@stranzm I'm so terribly sorry to hear your update.

AFM- DH and I just arrived in Vegas! We've both been here a million times, but never with each other, so it's a special experience. We're seeing Michael Jackson One tonight, which we're both super excited for! The only part that I have mixed feelings about is that my period started in full force this morning. I hate bleeding like this in Vegas, but at the same time I'm stoked because now I can start my BCPs again to prepare my body for FET! My understanding is that I need to be on them for about 3 weeks before baseline, so I guess that starts now. I'll find out more when we have our FET education class on the 17th.
Still no word about our PGS results. I'm expecting those soon though. Please think NORMAL thoughts for me y'all! We need good news, as these 8 embabies are our only hope!

@lilmissslp I think she was wanting lower numbers of high quality eggs as thats what she seems to think went wrong with my first IVF cycle. I think the logic is that fewer follicles have to compete less for resources to grow, therefore they would be of better quality than lots of eggs that had to share the resources. I've done acupuncture and taken CoQ10 as well as a different protocol so hopefully all those things together will have produced better quality eggs.
Thanks @happydays13 I'm glad I'm not alone in feeling a bit cruddy after ER. I've woken up this morning feeling a little less sore which I hope continues through the day. Good luck with the first beta!
@RVloution ah wow!! this gives me hope. So I'm ok to have a heat pack? Wasn't sure if I should be placing heat on my tummy, I've heard you're not meant to overheat that area, but that could be after transfer?
Congrats on your transfer! I hope that its a sticky little bean, and knowing its going to be a boy is amazing! Gosh technology amazes me!

@kk4564 I'm sorry you're feeling crappy also. I'm not sure if its the same, but when I go to the toilet I'm in agony, I think its my bladder muscle contracting and relaxing, or maybe my ovaries are so enlarged that they're getting pushed on? If you're overly worried maybe call the nurses?
@JamieH2000 I think those numbers are ok. My first scan wasn't until over a week after stims so I'm not really sure what numbers to expect. Fingers crossed for better results on thursday.

@ADRIANAC1982 ergh how annoying! I think my clinic is the same, I'll call two days before transfer with an embryo update, then the day before is just to find out what time I'm needed for transfer... do they not realise we are impatient! This is big stuff for us!

Diagnosis: Unexplained, although mild polycystic ovaries (not syndrome) and irregular cycles
2013/14: 6 rounds clomid,
Aug 2015: IVF #1 = Antagonist Cycle: 100 Puregon and Orgalutran
21 eggs collected, only 1 viable embryo, transferred but BFN
July/Aug 2016: IVF #2 (with acupuncture) = 87.5 Gonal F and Synarel Spray 2xdaily
ER 8/8, transferred 1 day 5 blastocyst 13/8, 2 frosties.
Beta #1 = 85 Beta #2 = 242
EDD 1st May 2017 *Baby Boy*
Jan 2007- started TTC ( temp everyday and opk and clomid used 12 cycles)
April 2016- Start Birth Control Got cleared for IVF/ diagnosed with MTHFR gene mutation/ HUBBY HAS ABOVE NORMAL MORPH/COUNT/MOTILITY
May 2016- Start meds for ER
May 1- Start Lupron for long lupron protocol
May 13- Started Stims 300 follistim,75 menopur, 10 lupron stimmed for 10 days
May 24- 16 eggs retrieved, 12 mature eggs, 8 fertilized, 5 to blast. qty 2 day 6 AA blast. qty 3 7 day blast grades AA and AB.
Have 3 NORMAL PGS TESTED GIRLS. 1 "INCONCLUSIVE" embryo still good for use.
7/8- Started AF and Estraidol patches
8/2- FET scheduled ( HUBBY BDAY!!!) and my clinic automatically uses EMBRYO GLUE!
8/2- Transferred 1 6AA pgs tested girl
8/15 - Beta #1 137 I AM PREGNANT!!!! EDD 4/20/17
8/17- Beta #2 269
9/1- MISCARRIAGE. Baby stopped growing at 5 weeks 3 days.
10/19- Have Baseline for IVF#3. Fresh transfer.
10/21- Start stims 300 Follistim 150 Menopur and Ganirelix
11/2/16-ER 43 eggs retrieved. 15 mature. 9 Fertilized. All 9 still growing but 4 are leading and are 8 cell day 3 grade AA.
11/7/16- Fresh transfer of 1 embryo
