Re: TTGP Graduation Thread - Week of 8 August 2016
How many months/cycles had you been TTGP? 10/10
What were you doing TGKU? Well, before this cycle I was temping with OPKs. This cycle, I sporadically used OPKs with no temping. I stopped breastfeeding last month which I think contributed to us succeeding this cycle.
How was your timing? Every day in the presumed FW. (Eight days straight!)
What symptoms did you have, if any (CS & CD breakdowns welcome)? Spotting for three days before my BFP. The day before my BFP, I spotted so bad that I swore it was AF and even wore a tampon because it was that much. I woke up the next day with nothing, so I tested expecting a BFN and it was pretty darn positive. Tested on a FRER and digi the next day (yesterday) and turned both positive. Of note, four days before my BFP I woke up out of a dead sleep with a pinching feeling in my left lower abdomen.
How are you going to/did you tell your partner? When we started our TTC process 10 months ago I had bought DS a "big brother" t-shirt. The shirt has been hiding in a box in my closet since. I put DS in the shirt after my BFP (it was pretty tight but still fit him) and had him wake my husband up. DH got teary eyed and hugged us both, then he made us pancakes. He has been gushing about how excited he is to be a family of 4 since.
Anything else to add? I just want to thank you all for your support through this TTC journey. I love you all and will be lurking!

That was my next thought, too, "omg she's had this shirt sitting in the closet for 10 months, I hope it still FITS!" lol That is so sweet that YH got up and made everyone pancakes. So SO HAPPY! for you and your growing family!!! FX for a happy, healthy joy-filled pregnancy and easy delivery! <3

How many months/cycles had you been TTGP? 10 months total, CP in Nov, MC in march.. so 5 since loss
What were you doing TGKU? Pre-seed, started working out... OPKs. I was stressing too much so I stopped temping
How was your timing? -1 and 0. Thought our timing sucked
What symptoms did you have, if any (CS & CD breakdowns welcome)? Sore boobs. I was really cold last week too.. not sure if that's related. I felt a little nauseous yesterday but again, not sure if it was related
How are you going to/did you tell your partner? I haven't yet! He will be home in an hour and I'm just going to tell him. Maybe bust out the baby blanket we got in Norway on our honeymoon.
Anything else to add? Thanks everyone. You've all been so supportive through everything. After the CP and MC in just hoping this sticks.

I haven't been here too long (and find it less overwhelming to post in TTC >35) so wasn't sure whether to post here (also not sure whether I should wait till I hopefully get darker lines in a few days? Wait to test again a week after AF was due?), but just wanted to say thanks for all of the encouragement and the wonderful information on this board. I really didn't know ANYTHING about TCOYF, specifics of temping (which thermometer to get), that OPKs/Internet cheapies even existed...so many things!
CD/DPO of first BFP? 31/16 (maybe a very very faint line on 28/13, but 31/16 was my 16th high temp so I tested), again today (32/17) w/a dollar store test because I may be in denial.
How many months/cycles had you been TTGP? 2/2
What were you doing TGKU? This was my first cycle temping (got my basal thermometer on CD 2 to start temping on CD 3), first cycle using OPKs, using preseed (but just as lube, not as directed), tracking CM sporadically. I had been keeping track of AF but had never put anything else into FF, taking PNVs, ubiquinol (I'll be 39 in two months), fish oil, reducing caffeine, jumped on the green tea bandwagon when I read about it here...
How was your timing? "High" per FF? -5,-3,-1,0
What symptoms did you have, if any (CS & CD breakdowns welcome)?
Pretty much no symptoms. I have three pimples I'd like to blame on hormones though. Maybe a touch of breast tenderness today if I really look for it?
Here's through yesterday - I actually spotted a little Sunday and Monday so swore AF was coming...and apparently was emotional/frustrated enough that I teared up when I told DH that on Sunday. FF is now telling me that they don't recommend keeping tracking fertility signs after BFPs. 354 days of VIP membership remaining - hopefully I won't need it!
How are you going to/did you tell your partner? I just told him the morning of 31/16 (yesterday) that maybe we're not out for this cycle after all. He isn't entirely convinced we're knocked up (or will stay that way).
Anything else to add? I hope it sticks and that everyone gets her BFP soon!
