WAYDTGKU: pnv, bbt, opk, vitex, rrlt

R/R: Nothing to see here.  It's the boring part of this ttc party

    CS/Q: Nothing today!

GTKY: What was the last thing you got irrationally emotional about?
Watching nature documentaries - every time something dies especially if it's a baby or sick animal.
  • Month/Cycle: 20/11

    CD: 3

    WAYDTGKU: all of the things.

R/R: Not a lot to say today. Lazy Sunday ahead including cooking brunch with my DH at home, catching up on some work, doing laundry (it never ends), and working out later.

    CS/Q:

GTKY: What was the last thing you got irrationally emotional about? There was a possible stray kitten on our back porch two nights ago. Our neighborhood has a lot of outdoor cats that are clearly domesticated and some strays, so it's hard to tell...we don't have any kids/dogs and live on 1/2 acre so our property tends to be a popular/quiet place for the cats to be, which doesn't bother me since they keep to themselves. But this one was a baby/puff ball of fur and right at our back door. It was clearly panting and 95 degrees so I tried to put a little water out for it but it saw me and ran off. Then maybe an hour later it began thunderstorming bad and I just kept worrying/feeling so bad that I chased it away and started crying just a little for the poor thing. It was also CD1 so I have some hormones to blame in the matter.
  •  @krisnicole23 lol Last night I asked my H why he married me and he said for his own entertainment. He said he would never leave me because his life would be boring without me... I was all like, thanks? I guess we gotta keep things interesting! They are the ones that married us, so maybe they are a little crazy too?

  • @khrun17 Leg cramps are a real thing for both DH and me! I have a herniated disc and SI joint dysfunction, so being in certain positions for too long can be a problem. For DH, it's dehydration and tight hamstrings. We never know when one or both of us will have one, but we try to slow down and keep going if possible. Gotta power through it!
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*

WAYDTGKU: OPK, just ordered a basal temp thermometer, PNV, CM

R/R: My cat had to make an emergency run to the vet, she had an ingrown nail that was going into her pad.  Luckily, we caught it right away before it got too deep or infected, and they just snipped it and pulled it out (and trimmed the rest of her claws!).  They also didn't charge us, which I was pretty amazed by.

CS/Q: Is it okay to start recording temps after my period?  My thermometer isn't arriving until Wednesday which will probably will be just after my period ends.  Will it affect my chart a lot?

GTKY: What was the last thing you got irrationally emotional about?

probably my upstairs neighbors.  they came downstairs the other day and knocked on our door to tell us they "weren't being loud and they talk quietly", except hey - if I can clearly make out your conversation as you shout it to each other you are probably loud and not talking quietly. CS/Q:  For those that have done IUIs, do you still temp?

GTKY: What was the last thing you got irrationally emotional about?  The other day we went to a bar with some friends.  One of the friends loves to go to this place without anything else near it so we had to drive out there and then drive other places and I was irritated we couldn't just go to a bar with other stuff near it so driving wasn't involved.

  • @Captainfoxtrot I just started temping on CD 9 and figured even if it happens to be too late to see the temp shift for O it will get me into the habit of temping every morning.  Also, I don't miss apartment living, I remember having to deal with idiot neighbors. Hopefully they decide not to renew their lease.

  • @lulu1180 That's a good point!  I currently have my alarm set at 7am everyday anyways, so I need to get in the habit of temping.  I'm hoping I'll be able to see that temp shift for O, as I'd like to have more evidence I'm actually O'ing.

I hate apartment living.  If I can't get a house by the end of my lease, I'm hoping to at least find a top level apartment at some point.

  • @mrsdee15 I kept temping during my IUI cycles, but it isn't necessary since you're monitored. If you are taking meds for the IUI than those can impact your temps

@captainfoxtrot some women temp vaginally and don't start until their period has finished. There should be no problem starting later this week once your thermometer arrives!

ETA @mrsdee15 I also temped during my IUI. I noticed my temp rise was a little shady after the trigger shot, but I still kept temping out of habit. I will continue to temp with my next IUI as well.

    CS/Q: Nadda

GTKY: What was the last thing you got irrationally emotional about?
I get irrationally emotionally at least once a day and usually over nothing. Today it was a post about my best friend from elementary schools mom and step dad who just seperated. He wrote her a note because it would have been their anniversary today. Cue water works.

R/R: My first AF after getting off BC is miserable, can't wait until my body gets back on track!

CS/Q: Is this for questions? I looked at both of the pages about acronyms but didn't find this one. If it is, there is my question

GTKY: What was the last thing you got irrationally emotional about? On Friday night I just wanted to hang out at home. My husband had made plans to go bowling with coworkers. I moaned and groaned (very irrationally) for about 2 hours and then we went and had a lot of fun. So lots of whining for no reason! My poor DH has to deal with a lot of whining and groaning from me.
  • So sorry to see you here, @AliciaGoose and @adirat. Treat yourselves today. And @adirat, I've never tried Vitex but have been thinking of trying it next cycle. I did read that it can take months before your body fully benefits from the effects of it. Anyways, I know this isn't of much use to you but I guess I'm curious to hear other ladies' experiences with it, as well.
  • @AliciaGoose @adirat sorry loves I had my hopes up for you. Nothing like a Sunday funday to numb those cramps.
  • @jeg07 Yup, that section is for chart stalks and questions

  • @jeg07 yes! We added this only recently. It's the place to ask a question or for a chart stalk but keep in mind that a lot of questions can be answered by lurking or searching the boards. Welcome!!
  • @KhRun17 last night DH got lube on the floor while putting it on, then stepped in it, and when he was about to go in was freaking out that it felt weird on his foot so we started laughing (well I did and he followed suit) so he got up to clean his foot off then lost it and it took a few mins to get it back but then the lube had absorbed into my skin as I got him ready. We were able to BD but I swear it was the least romantic sex we've ever had lol My CP is slowly getting higher/softer so I was like "Just fill 'er up"

@magnolia131 I hate laundry. We're just two people and get almost a load a day but our washer doesn't hold much.

@Captainfoxtrot I hate how vets nickel and dime you. Our vet here in Korea is great but back in NH it was $80 for a check up fee plus all the vaccinations. Here I walk in and they'll look at her for free and it's under $20 per vaccination and $10 for monthly heart worm and flea preventative (combined). Also hate apartment living. We've been hearing a smoke alarm chirping that needs a battery changed but it's not ours. I just realized that I think the apartment above us is vacant so no one is there, gotta text our realtor about it so he can tell the landlord (language barrier)

WAYDTGKU: RRL, BD ED/EOD, PNV, Preseed

R/R: My dog woke me up at 2:30 last night and I fell back to sleep at 5:40......and my alarm went off at 6. Of course the whole time I was tossing and turning, she was fast asleep on my pillow.

Funny story, I got a text in the middle of the night from a number I didn't know asking for me to send a pic. I was totally freaked out because only like 4 people in the States have my Korean number. It ended up being my 13 year old sister who wanted to post a picture of me on instagram for international sisters day.

Trying to get as much BD in as possible and hoping I O earlier rather than later. DH has a hectic work schedule coming up and I have a feeling O will come then.

    CS/Q: Nada

GTKY: I cried last month when we missed -3 timing because DH couldn't have morning sex before rushing to work. We were pretty much out for the month anyway because my IUD was removed on CD 14. It's CD 8 now and my CP and CM are already getting fertile so I probably completely missed O last month and what I thought was O was probably hormone fluctuations from having the IUD removed.

R/R: FF is claiming I o'd on the 4th.  Based on EWCM, I'm thinking it was more the 5th or 6th.  So I'm going to hold out on here for at least another day to see what happens with my temps.  I worked really hard to get Hubs up, pun intended, for BD this weekend (his mom passed 3 weeks ago).  He works nights, so I knew last night would be our last go until Thursday.  I would hate to have basically guilted him for me to have O'd a day or two early.

    CS/Q: nope

GTKY: What was the last thing you got irrationally emotional about? Probably the Opening Ceremonies of the Olympics.  In particular the fireworks.  I don't know why but it made me cry.  The different nations all coming together, under one roof, something they have worked their whole lives for, ugh world peace, underdog stories, and what not.  Hubs thinks it's hysterical.  But seriously the Olympics get me every time.

Probably last week on a weekday morning, I winged out a bit on DH for something (explaining my chart) completely unrelated to what I was actually upset about  (my dad's current cancer treatment). Completely random to the point I didn't even see it coming, but we talked it out though so all is well again.
