happy Friday everyone!
What is everyone up to this weekend? Fill us in!
afm... I am starting the countdown for my FET next week, so adding some progesterone to my hormone cocktail! Other than that DH has a birthday this weekend so trying to find ways to celebrate him and life. The details of that are still unknown, but TBD.
hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
Re: TGIF
Finally going back to my boot camp tomorrow after two weeks off because of carpet installation and then the wedding in FL. Then tomorrow afternoon we are going to the craft beer festival! Only CD5 tomorrow so very very excited for this! You get this little souvenir cup and get to try all the beer, cider and wine! Over 50+ will be there! Then Sunday I will probably be recovering from said festival and food shopping.
@bornready I am sure whatever you wind up doing for DH birthday will be exciting!

DH is out of town with the dog until tomorrow and I'm trying to decide what to do with myself tonight. Right now I'm thinking a run and some Netflix- so exciting I know! I thought about calling GFs to get together for happy hour, but I'm really trying to keep the drinks down to the physician-recommended level of 4 per week. Not easy in my social group!
Then tomorrow I'm meeting a friend for lunch and going to a friend's dinner party. I'm trying to rev up my exercise routine with some strength conditioning, so I started kettle bell videos from Daily Burn- I think someone on this board recommended them to me, but I forget who. Love them! I need to try to build some muscle tone before coming off the bench next month!
@lilylover27 Craft beer festival sounds sooooo fun! I love craft beer. I've been leaning towards putting off TTC until at least Sept, and the perk for me is that I'll get to attend my favorite Oktoberfest (yes, in Sept.... My city is weird).
@chloe97 an evening with Netflix sounds awesome! And I'm impressed by your love of kettle bells... Those make for tough workouts.
AFM, DH gets back into town tonight! Yay!!! I think we'll have a pretty chill weekend, although all things revolve around our puppy these days. He has a grooming appointment tomorrow and puppy class Sunday. I may sneak a haircut and color in on Sunday.... I could use the pick me up, and my excuse is the wedding we're attending next weekend. Gotta look nice, right?
@lilylover27 that festival sounds like so much fun! DH and I love craft beer and we love finding new breweries when we travel.
@RiverSong15 a little pampering is always nice
@AandDM2014 isn't your beta this weekend??
Boring weekend. I have DH permission to golf both days since he brought me food last night when I worked until after 11 so open mornings. The dogs get their shots tomorrow then continuing to organize the garage. Sunday: nada. I'm lame right now

@riversong15 it is! We went like 3 years ago when they first started it out here but now they have perfected it a little so excited to see it more put together! And yes do the hair! The wedding last weekend is the excuse I used to dye mine for the first time in like 3 years!
@aera11 love the craft beer and I love cider so it is nice to try some different hard ciders besides what you see in the supermarket!

I'm doing my best to keep my stress low but my little dogs just disappeared on me and I spent half an hour looking for them. They were being soooo good just chilling in the yard with me and then BAM gone. I can't wait til DH builds a fence but I really wish he'd do something temporary in the meantime, because the actual fence will take a while
Other than that fiasco lol...DH is home tonight
Tomorrow, I am taking one of our dogs to the vet, getting a haircut and some color touched up and then chilling at the house.
Can't remember what I have posted where, but we discovered a massive leak under our dishwasher two nights ago, so we are in damage control mode right now and have had a remediation company out to start the process of mold removal, etc. So, I will probably spend Sunday cleaning everything out of the kitchen before demo starts. (The damage is significant. We'll be replacing floors and one wall, along with the lower cabinets/counter. I try to keep telling myself, at least I get a new kitchen!
Good times!
Very excited for your transfer, @BornReady !!
So happy the wedding weekend passed with no Zika worries. I was thinking about you last weekend when all the news started to come out about the local cases, @lilylover27.
@chloe97 I always enjoy when DH is away (it's very rare, so I just don't have the house to myself much at all and it's nice to have a night to chill by yourself!).
@RiverSong15 Your weekend sounds a lot like mine! Hope you have fun and get to the salon!
@Aera11 Hope you can talk him out of the zoo. I would be annoyed with the hot and baby-filled zoo on a Saturday in the summer too! Movie def sounds like the better option.
@SnobunnieMel Your DH must be like mine, he will play golf even when it is 100+ degrees outside. Hope you enjoy your quiet mornings!
@rainbowturtles I freak out if any/all of my dogs get out. I am sure you were terrified! Glad they were found safe!

@lilylover27 craft beer festival sounds awesome, have fun.
@chloe97 +1 to loving netflix nights and relaxing.
@RiverSong15 enjoy the pampering, you deserve it! i need a little pampering time too, hopefully next week.
@Aera11 i love going to the zoo! i agree going midday is not ideal, we usually go right when they open before the madness starts.
@SnobunnieMel your weekend sounds so nice and relaxing, just what the dr ordered.
@rainbowturtles i'm glad you found your dogs safe and sound, so scary!
I don't have much planned at all this weekend. I'm going to my brothers house tomorrow for a while in the morning to get out of the house so DH can sleep. he's on overnights and hasn't been able to sleep yesterday or today so he really needs a day to sleep tomorrow. maybe i'll take after @Aera11 and go to the zoo on sunday morning. the zoo near me has a new baby penguin so I want to check that out. hope everyone has a great weekend!

@rainbowturtles glad you found your dogs, eek!
@brooklyngirl18 baby penguins? oh, the feels!
I was in NY last weekend while DH went to work in Seattle, he finally comes home today so we have huge plans to be together and do absolutely nothing this weekend (run with my group on Sat morning, drink coffee and sit on the back porch with him the rest of the time). Also, I'm thrilled b/c I found out this morning I am officially off the bench! Still on meds and checking thyroid/liver/blood counts monthly but yahooooo!

@chloe97 Thanks!
As of right now, I am firmly in the "it didn't work" mindset. I haven't felt anything in my abdomen for a while, which I know doesn't signify anything, but still bums me out. Hopefully Sunday comes quickly.

I just had to share this....what happens when you're benched for 7 months? Last night BD DH POM basically because it's a REFLEX now. Then he was like, "oh, I'm so sorry!" We both started laughing. It's too early anyway, but that was funny.

@rainbowturtles I'm so glad puppy made it home. I would freak out. I'm dreaming of a day where we have a safe fenced in yard. Hey - an nyc girl can dream, right?
@lilylover27 - beer fest sounds fun! I love trying new ones - I have that app "tappd" where you can check in with different beers you try! Right now I'm all about summery fruity ales.
This weekend is a chill one with not much of anything going on, but I'll take it. last night went out for some drinks, today cleaning and possibly yoga. Take the dogs on long walks!
