Re: Symptoms Thread 8/1/16

  • @MLRocha umm.. WTF???
What the hell was your NP thinking when she said that? It's not one of this things like "college is not for everyone."
I swear to God, being pregnant attracts all the idiots to say the stupidest things to you.

  • @AfKash - I thought it was kind of odd.  She was really nice otherwise and probably didn't mean anything by it....  But, I was like "What does that even mean?".  Meanwhile, smile and nod because she's about to let me hear the heartbeat for the first time :)

  • 1. How far along are you?
    10w, 3d

    2. Any new symptoms this week?
Feels like I pulled a muscle on the left side of my butt - weird, since I've been exercising, but not strenuously. Also, some pulling/discomfort-y pain that seems to appear in different places around my stomach and abdomen depending on the time of day.

    3. Rants/raves/questions/concerns?
I'm worried that my tired-ness and bloating haven't been as bad this week (#thingsIneverthoughtI'dsay), and am pretty worried about my OB appointment on Monday. Trying to relax and distract myself over the weekend!
  • @MLRocha totally true.  But something better would have been "every persons body is different and every pregnancy is different."

I'm actually surprised at how well I've behaved so far this pregnancy.  I haven't really been moody or bitchy.

Omg, I just remembered my first job when I was 15 I was working in the Baby Depot section of Burlington Coat Factory.  Obviously I dealt with a lot of pregnant women.  This one in particular was looking for a specific crib that we didn't have in stock. She claimed that she talked to someone on the phone and was told the crib was in stock. She went all crazy on me.  She called me a bitch and that we shouldn't be giving wrong information to their customers and she wouldn't have driven all the way out here for nothing.
I was so young at that time I didn't even stand up to her.  I just bust out of there crying.  I found out later that her husband was looking for me to apologize on his wife's behalf.  Ever since that experience I told myself I would not be like that lady when I'm preggo. I'm sure she's nice person deep down and she was just having a really shitty day, so I forgave her.  But ya, I hope I'm never like that, especially during labor.

  • I feel like death. Awful nausea and so tired today. Pretty much in bed all day and it's one of the hottest days of the summer.

I'm just about in 2nd trimester, enough of this already!

  • @ckis I've also had ouchy butt muscles (though mine have primarily been on my right side)! I have jabs in my lower abdomen/groin that I can pretty clearly attribute to round ligament pain, but the glutes are more of a mystery to me. Ahhhh...pregnancy is a wonderland.

omg same with the crazy pregnancy story! when I was 17 I was working at Old Navy and a pregnant woman got so upset about 15 vs 20% off that she ripped from the wall and threw a METAL SIGN at me.
