brown spotting :(

so this afternoon I had some brown spotting that wasn't a ton ( but sure scared me) it has lightend up and by the morning I'm hoping it will be gone. Asking for prayers so afraid of another chemical or missed m/c. OB appt isn't till 8/24 and honestly there isn't anything they can do anyways...

so thought I was out of limbo when I got and finally believed my bfp... darn body always throwing me for loops  :/

    You are in my thoughts. :(  Fingers crossed it stays just spotting.  Have you called your doc since it started to see if they can squeeze you in earlier?  Depending on the cause of the spotting, the doc might surprise you with what supplements and care they can provide.

    Either way, you have as many internet hugs as we can offer.

    Hi!

    Sorry you are going through this.  I feel you!  I am running to the bathroom with every little twinge because AF was supposed to come today or tomorrow.  I thought it was all over with when I had an AF like cramp this morning and the tiniest bit of spotting too.  Nothing since, but I basically have a magnifying glass out every time I wipe!  I'm worried about a CP or MC too!  I keep telling myself that my body has already decided what will happen and I have no control so I should just let it be.  Easier said than done though.  I don't have a lot to offer, just wanted to commiserate with you.  :o

    Yeah, I had some brown spotting when I was pregnant with DD. I didn't even know i was pregnant, because she was a surprise. But, then a couple of days later I found out I was and I spotted off and on for about 4 days.

    Brown usually means it's old blood and like the others have said spotting is extremely common. Your cervix is easily bumped. I remember unloading some supplies with my last pregnancy and had a little red spotting and went on with a healthy pregnancy.

    FWIW, I had a lot of brown and pink spotting all through 1st tri with DS. My doctor chalked it up to having a retroverted uterus and that my cervix must have just dropped really low while it was straightening up (it was SUPER low), and that it got irritated a lot and caused the very minor bleeding. In general, her recommendation was to not worry unless there was enough blood to fill a pad within an hour, large clots, or intense cramping (worse than normal AF cramping). Fingers crossed for you that all goes well!

    Thanks everyone! On day 3 of brown spotting, it's basically just that "spots here and there"

    i guess my my current concern is that my wondfo seem to have gotten lighter ( and yes i did try the dilution trick with no success just made it even more faint)

    just waiting for Monday to officially get my results...

    @neikoda yeah my bad... It's just like everything TTC, I obsess and obsess... I know it's a positive test, it's the progression that has me on edge...

    i swear if it wasn't for these boards I would lose my mind

    @LilyGracesMommy Also, just a heads up, line darkness is not necessarily indicative of HCG levels falling. Each test has a different amount of dye which can affect the test. Also, you do reach a threshold around 5w generally where the lines won't darken at all and may even appear lighter due to the dye amounts. Wondfos are notrorious for not having the darkest lines as they are internet cheapies.

    well my beta from yesterday at 18dpo was 46.1 and I was using bbt and 100% sure when I ovulated...

    from the chart sent with the result it should be at the minimum 50...


    hoping my beta in the morning has doubled  as I **should** be 5weeks this Saturday, but based on my beta I'm looking more like 4??

    any advice is appreciated

    Thinking of you and hoping everything is fine. I had spotting (first brown then reddish), cramps and lower back pain with my daughter around 5 weeks. The spotting lasted for about 3 days. The cramping and lower back pain was all first trimester. All was perfectly fine! So I'm hoping for the same for you!

    Well so yesterday I was being cool as a cucumber about my brown spotting but today not so much. I did a call into my nurse. Just got off the phone with my nurse and she said to drink more water and wait for my next HCG on Monday and let them know if it got red, heavier, or if the spotting changed before then. Also no sex for the next 3 weeks. 

    @LilyGracesMommy I also had a super low HCG reading. I was at 52.6. I have another Beta on Monday and am taking progesterone at night. 

    This waiting is hard...just hopeful that it turns out to be healthy viable pregnancy for both of us. :)

    LilyGracesMommy I sorta think the progesterone is almost a like a placebo for pregnant ladies...but I am glad to take it and feel like maybe its doing something (I didn't start it until Monday-after 2 HCG readings). It has been hot where I am and I don't drink a ton of water...maybe 3 9oz glasses a day yesterday. Anyways since the nurse suggested more water I have had 4 glasses and like drinking more water might be helping to slowdown the spotting. Glad you called your OB and got news. Do you know what week/day you are? 

    FX for both of us. Let me know how things go for you. :) You will be in my thoughts!

    @becauselove I know when I ovulated as I was using bbt so my ticker should be correct (4weeks5days today 4weeks 4days on beta testing)... its the low hcg that has me second guessing

    so so imwaiting till the am, I figure at this point one more day won't matter... Just frustrating because the office said it would be ready

    so I go for my beta today ( went Wednesday at 9ish so thinking of giving my body some time to double) but... I cant keep from using up my wondfo (blue tip hcg ones) and my line seems to be a bit lighter than yesterday ( or maybe its just because yesterdays is dried...) anyway there is still a line... from my Dr.google research people have said they don't get good progression with wondfo... but I feel like I'm grasping at straws and that this weekend will be the longest wait ever... I should be 20dpo today, hoping this baby sticks! and that everyone else with beta issues get to keep their sticky baby


    side note: from my FF chart I have a nice implantation dip at 10dpo and my first vvfbfp at 12dpo so if I implanted at 10dpo would that be considered late?


    ugh. like I said grasping at straws here! at least with my previous chemical it was a faint bfp one day, full AF the next. this continued torture of limbo is driving me insane!! also my brown spotting has started to subside ( haven't seen any in my underwear TMI just very light when I wipe, if at all...

    Let us know what the results are. FX for you. 10dpo is late implantation as far as I know. But I don't know that you would have had a bfp in 2 days if you implanted on day 10...but I am no expert. I think I probably implanted on dpo 10. 

    I am sorry that this all so frustrating and challenging to wait to see. I also am totally unsure of what will happen and just keep hoping for a sticky bean. I wish I could be there to help distract you. Hopefully you will great beta news and it will help settle the nerves.

    I just got my 3rd beta (week 5+) and I am down to 6.9. So I am out too. After 2 weeks of spotting and low numbers its not a huge surprise. Back to my 3rd IUI I go.
