Some great tips for benefiting from this wonderful community:
- Read the Newbie Thread pinned at the top of this board. It is full of really helpful TTC advice and knowledge.
- Participate! Join the WTO (Waiting to Ovulate) and TWW (Two Week Wait) threads. This is a great place to let everyone know where you are at in your cycle, rant and/or rave about anything (TTC-related or not), and have any questions answered.
Please introduce yourselves. Share as much or as little as you are comfortable with.

How many months have you been TTC?
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.)
Hi! I'm Kim! I have been lurking for quite some time and everyday I think "maybe today will be the day I jump in!" But I just haven't done it yet! I was kind of waiting for this thread after seeing the results of the voting poll So anyway...
Ages (you and SO): We are both 27. We have been married for 3 years, but together for 10- we are high school sweethearts
How many months have you been TTC? 3 months
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? PNV, Baby aspirin, OPK, I just starting temping this cycle.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) I am a special needs teacher, I work with students who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing. My husband works in IT. We have no kids and no pets! Hobbies include boating, fishing, and doing work around the house (I'm not sure that counts as a hobby, but it seems to be where most of our free time goes!)
@Kim41313 Welcome aboard! Hope you step away from the lurking shadows and join in on the threads! And, as always, hope your stay here is short and sweet!
I'm going to jump into this board this week for the first time!
Ages (you and SO): I'm 33 (almost 34) and hubby is 36
How many months have you been TTC? 2 years and 3 months
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? We started seeing an RE about a year ago after temping and PN for 16 months after coming off BC. After a failed IUI and IVF cycle, I'm seeing an acupuncturist weekly and on a modified diet, herbal treatment and supplements. I'm still temping and charting and we're actively trying each month while we try to decide when/if to do another IVF cycle. Maybe one month we'll hit the lucky 3%.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): Momma to a super-lovable fur-baby, an almost four year old yellow lab. Super active career in technical sales. Other hobbies are crafts and cooking and the endless stream of house projects and gardening that we seem to get into in the summer!
Me: 33, Hubby: 36 TTC since May 2014 First RE Appt - September 2015 DX: Hypothyroid, DOR IUI w/ Clomid - October 2015 - BFN ER - 2/10/16, 2 Day 3 Embryos FET - 4/15/16 - BFN Summer 2016 - Taking a break to try herbal treatment and acupuncture
So I'm not really a newbie, but I probably am to most people here, so I'll intro!
I've been active on TB since last May, lurked for a long time before that, and was on The Knot way before that. If some of you have been around that long (or are back!) I'm FKA Katetastrophe. I took a break from TTGP for a while, but now...I'm back! Excited to get to know all of you!
***TW losses mentioned below***
Anyway, I'm 29, DH is 30. We've been TTC#1 for about 14 months now and have had three miscarriages in a row since December. We are almost done with IF testing. I was diagnosed with PCOS and we'll likely resume TTC in September pending answers from the RE.
I'm doing all the things to get KU: temping, charting, OPKs, green tea, prenatals...you name it, I've probably tried it at least once. I refuse to put my legs in the air after HIO. This isn't a cirque du soleil show!
No kids, I have one cat and a dog who I am OBSESSED with. I'm a photographer part-time, non-profit manager full-time. I really like wine, tea towels, snacks, and the color yellow. Hobbies include Netflix binging, crafting, and playing the ukulele.
I am also a fan of the elastic waistband.
Fun fact: I look like/have the personality of Liz Lemon, hence the SN. I didn't know this until a few years ago when half a dozen people had asked me if I'd watched 30 Rock because it seemed like Liz Lemon was ME.
Whoops, I missed this one somehow. Hope I'm not too late! Hi, I'm Kristin, and I've just joined and become active on this board. My husband John and I are currently TTC for the first time, so really this is the first full month we're trying.
Ages (you and SO): I'm 31 and my husband is 48, so he's a little panicky about the whole baby-making thing on his end.
How many months have you been TTC? Just 1!
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? I've started charting and I have some opks to try.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) My husband and I are big into early-American history. We reenact the revolutionary war and last year we bought a house that was built in 1792 and have spent the last year working on restoring it (fortunately, it doesn't need that much work). We have a Manx cat named Sophie, and she's my little soulcat. She loves to snuggle and play. I'm currently looking for work so I suspect I could become fairly active on here in the meantime, and I look forward to getting to know everyone
Me: 32 Husbando: 49 Married Since: 7/29/2012 omgosh
Hi ladies. I'm mango. H & I are 31. I worked in women's healthcare until recently, and now I SAH. I'm not exactly new-- I spent a little while on this board before conceiving my son, who is now almost 17 mo. I was pretty active on the March 2015 board until The Bump blew up (anyone here know what I'm talking about?). Our group moved to Facebook and I haven't looked back until now.
We are TFAS starting this cycle though, and I'm here for the WTO/TWW threads. We are not trying too hard -- I know when to expect O, but I refuse to temp & all that jazz unless we get 2 cycles in without a positive test.
Hi all! I have been lurking for a bit, and well figure it is high time to jump in! My name is Tricia and I am 32 years old and work full time as an attorney in private practice and as a LuLaRoe fashion consultant in my free time. My husband is also 32, soon to be 33, and is a high school math teacher. We have one DD who turned 2 in May. We also have some furbabies in our lives (1 cat and 1 dog).
This is my first month at TFAS. I am just getting back into the swing of things and refreshing my memory about how all this temping and charting works. I have been at least keeping temps, but that is as far as it goes at the moment. If we fail to get pregnant within a few cycles, I think I may invest in OPKs and the like as it helped when we were trying for my daughter.
As for what just a little nugget about me. I love to run. I am just getting back into a lengthy training cycle after finishing a 10-miler in June. I love to be outdoors and spending time with friends, oh and I love baking, although my waistline doesn't.
Hi! I've been back and forth on these boards - first a lurker in TTGP, then happily became active when I found out I was pregnant, but sadly lost as 8w. Took a couple months off and now we're back on the bandwagon. New house and all!
Ages (you and SO): Me: 33, DH: 35
How many months have you been TTC? 21 months (yikes!!)
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? charting, temping, preemptive prenatal vitamins, mucho sexo, holding my breath and keeping an eye out for rainbows.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) We're currently the proud parents of 2 gorgeous cats for now Husband and I are both into fitness, country music and all thing autumn. I consider the only thing about not being pregnant come October is the beer selections! We're still hoping to conceive naturally but will begin looking into alternatives if nothing has changed by the new year.
I guess I'll jump in! This is my first post in TTGP in probably over a year, but I am active on the TB in other places! I will try to stick my head around these parts a little more often now that we are back to TTC, I am looking forward to getting to know everybody!
Ages: I am 29, DH is 30, we have been together 10 years, married for almost 4
How many months have you been TTC?: TW*Loss:
Our ttc journey started in May 2015 when I stopped bc, but we TTA until August 2015. Got a BFP that month!! October 2015 at our second appointment we learned there was no more little heartbeat had a d&c a couple days later. Then we TTA until June 2016 since we moved back to our home state and I got a new job. Still TTC#1.
WAYDTGKU: June I temped, July I used OPKS, I wanted to start temping again, but I've been waking up super early cuz it's so hot and it's thrown off my temping so far this cycle. Hopefully tomorrow I can start again! And my friend that is KU gave me all of her opks to use! Woot! lol. Also PNV.
Tell us about yourself: No other kids or furbabies...I like crafts and wine and being with friends, working out, and just relaxing also. I coordinate worksite wellness programs for a living. DH does sales for a living and can always make me laugh!
Hi All, I guess I'll jump in. I was active on TB a few years ago when I had my daughter, and I've been jumping in over on TTCAL. I'm still active with the December '13 moms on FB.
Ages (you and SO): I'm 34, DH is 33. We've been together 10 years, married almost 4.
How many months have you been TTC? *TW
This is the first official month. We had a surprise BFP last month, but we had a loss at about 5 weeks. We had been talking about trying again, so we decided to just go for it this month.
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? I had been keeping track of my cycle, but I just started temping this month again. Using OPKS, preseed and checking CM.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) We have a beautiful 2 year old daughter. I work in medical education at a children's hospital. I'm lucky to work from home 2 days a week and be home with my daughter. DH works for a games website. No big hobbies, but I love working out, wine and cooking.
Hi all, I'm Lisa, DH is Phil. We just got married in June and started TTC immediately because of my age. I'm still doing a lot of lurking and trying to remember/figure out all of the TTC acronyms! I look forward to starting this journey with all of you!
Ages (you and SO): 35 (me), 36 (DH)
How many months have you been TTC? about 1 1/2
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? started using FF just to keep track of AF and will be starting to temp at the next cycle as mine is slightly irregular and I want to make sure I'm taking advantage at the correct times
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) I attempt to go running when I'm not being uber-lazy, I enjoy knitting and reading. DH and I are still catching up on GoT and we are currently parents to a 8-month old collie puppy. She is adorable and we love her and hope to be able to maker her a big sister soon!

Ages (you and SO): I am 29, DH is about to be 31.
How many months have you been TTC? 3 months
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? Right now just taking PNVs and checking CM/CP. As time goes on I am sure I will add to that...
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) DH and I have been together for 11 years, and will be married for one in September. We have two dogs, and have decided it is finally time to expand our family in a non-canine way. I had some issues when I was a teen that my Dr. suspected could be associated with endometriosis, and my family has a pretty long history of fertility issues, so I have gone into this process with the expectation that it will most likely take a while. I look forward to getting to know you all!

Hi everyone! I've been lurking for about a month-- I introduced myself in the huge newbie post and then realized that that one isn't used anymore, oops!
Ages (you and SO): We are both 27, have been married for 2 years and together for 7 years
How many months have you been TTC? Just got off BC last month and finally got AF this week so I guess this will be our first true month of trying
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? I just signed up for the FF app today and will just be charting for now
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) I'm a speech pathologist and work in early intervention providing feeding/speech/language therapy to birth-to-3. We recently purchased a house and I'm loving fixing it up.
This is our first cycle TTC this go around This month I used OPKS, and CM. I plan on charting next month if, and probably when I get a BFN. I just have a feeling it's not my month, or maybe just knowing how most people don't get pregnant on the first try.
I am a SAHM with 4 kids, and this will be our 5th. I am not ubber religious, or crazy... well maybe a little! We just feel like 5 is it, then no more, for real. My H is a doctor we so can keep them all fed and in good health I have a daughter who is 12 and sons who are 10,8, and 3.
I would also love a ton of kids! I have 2 DSS and 1 DS. So we are working on #4. I'd LOVE to have 5 or 6. I often "joke" that I want to keep having kids until I get a girl. My sister compares me to the Duggar family, but not as religiously crazy.
Hello ladies! I've just joined this board and become active. MH and I are currently TFAS and I am both excited and scared s**tless.
Ages (you and SO): I am 30 and my husband is 28. (Am I the only older wife here?!?)
How many months have you been TTC? We just started trying.
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? Other then getting it on every night, man I'm exhausted, I haven't started doing anything else. Honestly, I need to do some more research on everything that you ladies are doing.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): We currently have a two-year old DD who constantly keeps us laughing and on our toes. We both work in healthcare. In our free time (yeah, like we have any) we like going to the country bar where we met, hanging out at football games (I'm a football widow), and working out.
@KirstinH88@BusinessWife@Westy99@momomsess I'd love 6 kids but I struggled convincing DH that 3 was good. Even now we're at 2 if it's a boy and girl and a third if the first two are the same sex. I'm hoping we have three and then on the third one end up with triplets or something. My aunt did have triplets without any fertility treatment so I guess it's possible.
Hi there! I am currently "benched", but I was on here for 2 or 3 months ttc before that... usually jumping in during the tww. In maybe 8 weeks? (Rough estimate Dh is recovering from surgery, so whenever he's good to go!) We'll be back to ttc.
DH and I have been together for 6 years, married for a little less than that. I'm an actuarial analyst, which is a fancy word for either pricing insurance policies, or calculating their losses. We have 1 fur baby (yorkie) who is our pride and joy! Haha I have to study a lot for my job (you have to pass 9 exams that are HARD) so my hobbies are a bit limited these days... but I enjoy running and cooking! I'm trying to get into better shape... I was doing great but fell off the bandwagon after staying with Dh in the hospital during his surgery.
Anyhow, it's nice to read about everyone! Looking forward to getting to know all of you better!
Thank you for the welcome, and welcome to everyone else too. I am glad you are all big family friendly. I don't even think 4 kids is that many and I had some weird comments thrown at me when I was pregnant with my fourth, I am bracing myself for more with my 5th. I love all of them, and I like my family'so size, even if some people think it is crazy
Hello! Been lurking for a bit but ready to wade in here.

@lmc929 I just had my IUD removed a few weeks ago and I just had a major cramp after, way easier than having it put in.

re-intoducing myself. I was participating in June of this year, just found we had a silent miscarriage. I'll be benched for a while, but need the check-ins & community to stay sane.

I've been lurking for about a month-- I introduced myself in the huge newbie post and then realized that that one isn't used anymore, oops!
I am 33 years old and my H is 35
This is our first cycle TTC this go around
This month I used OPKS, and CM.
I hope to get to know you all!
& @BusinessWife - I want a slew of kids too! So far I only have H convinced of one though..

Good luck to everyone!
@KirstinH88 @BusinessWife @Westy99 @momomsess I'd love 6 kids but I struggled convincing DH that 3 was good. Even now we're at 2 if it's a boy and girl and a third if the first two are the same sex. I'm hoping we have three and then on the third one end up with triplets or something. My aunt did have triplets without any fertility treatment so I guess it's possible.
TTC since August 2018
Ages (you and SO): I'm 26 and hubs is 27.
