Hey ladies. I normally don't post much, but the swing has been stressing me out lately and have to ask.
LO is 15 weeks, and only naps in the swing. She is a great night time sleeper in her crib, but naptime is totally different and I can't get her to sleep in the crib, pack n play, or anywhere else. She will sometimes sleep for a short time on someone, but wakes up the second we try to put her down. I've tried going on to soothe her, picking her up and putting her back in, sitting in the room with her... but she ends up crying the entire time and completely skipping her nap. I'm just worried that she'll always be a bad napper, and want to break any bad habits.
Has anyone had any success getting their LO to transition out of the swing? Is this the right age? Any tips or advice is greatly appreciated!!
Re: Naptime in the swing
keep at it, perhaps it's an age thing?
I've found that I get even more stressed out about LO's habits when I'm reading all the books that tell me what I'm doing wrong...so again, no advice here but hopefully you find something that works!
As far as tips to transition, put the swing on lower and lower until eventually it doesn't move. That will help them adjust to not needing the motion. You could also move the swing by baby's crib so they get use to the surroundings.
