I fantasize about a day 10 years from now when I'm done being pregnant and bfing and I just take cold meds willy nilly.

@AverageAsh I'm recovering from a cold right now, and I'd do just about anything for a Mucinex tablet. Also, an ice cold beer, but that's not because I'm sick.
For the second week in a row my child is being sent home sick from daycare. Supposedly he has a fever, though every time he has had a fever at daycare he doesn't have one when we get home. How are people supposed to work and have kids? This is hard.
I feel so fat today. Like huge. I mean, I'm not a small person...I never lost my baby weight, and I was hefty before that, but today...ugh. And It is so hot and I don't feel like doing a damn thing. We live at the beach...I should at least sit there rather than on my couch, but I start melting when I'm outside. And it's making me miserable(er).

Someone at Target is sabotaging me. I went last week looking for hash browns, which I was craving, and the entire frozen foods shelf labeled "hashbrowns" was empty. Everything around it was in stock. This morning I decided I was craving white Cheddar Cheez-its, and how was that section of the shelf? Completely empty. Everything around it was in stock. WHAT THE HECK!? Is there a fellow pregnant lady who is matching all my cravings???
I bought Pringles instead because I saw the new Ghostbusters movie and got hungry when Kate McKinnon's character was carrying those around. And cherries, because they looked tasty.

I want to post GIFs but I don't have anything that looks like a tree like the "how to post a gif" thing says...so I don't try cuz I don't want to look like a moron
@ashannon3490 I didn't get the tree thing either. It's the piece of paper looking thing. When you hit the down arrow you will see where you can enter an image URL. It's the same place you go to put an actual picture
It's hilarious how competitive parents get when it isn't at all warranted. DS is in 4 yo soccer and it's hilarious to watch some of the dads act like its the effing World Cup. They're 4. They can barely dribble the ball.
@mittenlove86 last time I had not intuition either way. This time I already feel like it's another boy. My intuition is always wrong though, so maybe it's a girl?
Every time I run my dishwasher, the kitchen ends up stinking of rotting eggs and sulfur. I clean my sink. I keep my drain unclogged. I use my garbage disposal only for certain things. So literally WTAF?!
I vaguely remember seeing something online about determining the sex based on the position of the baby in the uterus on the early ultrasounds. So of course I googled it after my ultrasound today and it said boy. Chinese chart (crazy i know) also says boy. Of course it's always been my dream to have a little girl. Who knows, maybe I'll be in the small percentage they claim is wrong. But like I said, I'm just happy to have a healthy baby! Boy or girl, they will be loved

@chrlyr yes!! Never on my daughter's team but the other teams parents can be ridiculous , they're learning how to play not competing for a scholarship.
DH leaves for work tomorrow, I had to go get him groceries tonight and I had to do slow breathing to keep myself from throwing up in the store, it was awful. In other news, we told my in laws. I was preparing myself for a not so great reaction but surprisingly they were happy for us.
Called poison control for the first time today. I was emptying the dishwasher and DD (13 mos) started playing by me like she always does. She likes to get the silverware basket after I empty it and carry it around. Well, before I realized what was happening, I heard her coughing/gagging... I look down and discover the little door over the detergent didn't open all the way during the cycle and there was still dishwasher detergent in there. She had stuck her fingers in it and then put her hand in her mouth. Scary! Detergent bottle said to wash out mouth, drink water, then call doctor or poison control, so we did all that, and I washed her hands off really well.
Thankfully, it doesn't seem to have affected her at all, other than an initial very bad taste. I'm guessing she must not have actually swallowed much. Pediatrician said I did just the right thing to wash out her mouth and get her to drink some water, and that I just needed to watch for vomiting. They actually said we should go straight to the ER if she did vomit, but she never did. Called poison control after the pedi just to be cautious, the woman I talked to was helpful and reassuring. She called what happened "normal exposure" and wasn't concerned about any lasting harm. DD acted totally normal after the incident and never had any scary symptoms. Definitely going to be more careful in the future though!
My kid is making me want to punch myself in the face. I swear she just senses I have no patience today. Also, STAHP elbowing my sensitive boobies child! Wtf.
It's 2am, I've just gotten home from the Boston/LA/Madison trip and I'm laying in a lukewarm oatmeal and Epsom salt bath b/c my legs have broken out into very itchy red bumps. (Hives maybe?) It's happened before, a couple of times (I think it may be caused by stress) and I typically blast it with an Rx strength Cortisone cream. Since that's out, I'm trying the bath. So damn itchy. I am putting some OTC (1%) Cortizone cream with aloe on them, I hope that's OK. This sucks.
@joyfuljenny That's around the same age that I had to call for DS. I was peeing and he used a you to knock some black fingernail polish into the floor. He then managed to open it and eat some. This is all in a 5 minute or less time frame. At almost 3, we keep everything on high shelves where he can't see because he can open all child proof containers.
@joyfuljenny omg what is with this age? My LO put me through the ringer putting weird crap in her mouth lately.

Called insurance updated pregnancy status, finally booked my 1st appointment and ultrasound, went and deposited a check that's been in my purse for weeks, did my Xmas shopping and went to file paperwork for my passport..... Haven't done not one lick of work since I walked in at 8am but boy did I manage my life pretty darn well.
