I grew up on HP, I will be an old lady and still be obsessed. And funny thing is my husband's nickname on his work crew when we met was Harry Potter because he had brown hair, blue eyes and glasses. So I like to tell people Harry Potter is my baby daddy. Haha
It's because of DH that I got into HP. We were just friends in high school, but he got me hooked when I watched the first movie at his house. I went on to read the books and have been a huge fan ever since. Earlier this year, we visited the Harry Potter theme park at Universal Studioes Orlando and geeked out like two little kids.
Reading the books to them is one of the things I most look forward to when my kids are older! And I have a strict rule that it must be books first, then movies.
So tonight as I am cooking dinner and DH is feeding DD, the damn dog decides to puke. She managed to leave all the hard surfaces first so it all landed on the rug. Awesome. Then jackass (DH) leaves the other dog in the house and doesn't put the trash away after cleaning the puke up. I am sure you all can guess how this ended up. I trotted my happy ass downstairs for a snack and came around the corner to trash and pukey paper towels and quinoa all over the floor. I cleaned half of it up before the gagging kicked in. Gave a loud "fuck this shit" just to be sure DH heard before grabbing my snack, going back upstairs, and leaving the rest for him.
I think my delicious genetically altered fruits are giving me an unrealistic idea of how big my womb bat is. When did blueberries get as big as my head?

We've had HP movie marathons , even though I have my own set of the books, I bought my daughter the new illustrated version of Sorcerers Stone for her birthday, she LOVES it. I think those catch her interest more because of the gorgeous photos to go along with the story.

Ugh, someone come save me! I'm starting at my in laws and they have NO AIR CONDITIONING! My poor baby is covered in sweat any time we are anywhere but the basement. And I'm none too comfy either. I need ice cream and a.c. stat! Im seriously thinking about going to Wal-Mart just to get in the air conditioning.

I went to my cousin's baby shower earlier (she'll be the third out of four cousins to have a baby this year! My family is HUGE!) and brought DS. Of course he's a nosy little bugger and wouldn't take his afternoon nap until half an hour before the party ended at 4, so he slept for maybe a quarter of the time he normally would have.
He's been sleeping for the last hour or so now though at home, and I really should wake him soon since bedtime is at 8, but he's so peaceful and I just don't want to. Plus I don't get to sleep-snuggle him very often, so even though my arm is dead where he's leaning on it, I can't let go!
I'm supposed to perform at church this morning. I'm so nauseated... I just wanna call out sick but I don't think that would be very classy. Ugh. Also. It's my birthday weekend and I don't want to do anything to celebrate except sleep.
@CanadianintheSouth and all the other mom jokers! Have you seen the game Punderdome? I pre-ordered it in December and it just came in the mail! I can't wait to play:)
