Well, wasn't pee after all. I got tested and it was amniotic fluid. They've admitted me! I'm still just 1.5 cm and 75% effaced. They've started me on cyrotec and will start pitocin in a few hrs
I think jealousy is my new symptom. I just can't believe that for some people at my point they have a 1 or 2 week old I still have a week and I just want my baby!! I love seeing these baby images, but hate that I don't have mine yet. Of course it doesn't help that I am so uncomfortable in my own body and my 4 year old is also punished because I am so short with her and now can't even do anything fun outside the house.
Feeling uncomfortably crampy at random today. No pattern or anything, but never felt this way that I recall with DD who ended up induced for going too far past due. Makes me hopeful maybe this baby will decide to come on its own eventually. Also, TMI but mucusy discharge and some diarrhea today... So maybe things are progressing? 38+5 today. Induced at 41+4 last time.
Uuuggghh. That about sums it up. I can't believe how exhausted I've been this week - feels like first tri fatigue again. DH is awesome and tells me to take it easy, but I feel bad because there is a ton to do before this babe gets here. I can't even bring myself to finish the nursery! Back to bed...
Well another day gone by and still pregnant, Saturday I'll be at 41 weeks. I was pretty anxious the days leading up to my due date and a couple days after, but now I'm just feeling content with whatever happens. It is what it is I guess. Today I felt stomach tightening contractions all day and had bursts of nesting. Also extremely tired. Tomorrow I have another appointment which includes an ultrasound to monitor my little guy. I'm 70% effaced and 3 centimeters dilated...so should be interesting to see what's going to happen after tomorrow's appointment.
Anyone have BH strong enough to wake them up every 10 or 15 minutes through the night? I was induced last time so don't know what it feels like to go into labor. Obviously it's not often enough to need to go to a hospital now, but if this continues for a week or two, I am going to be miserable. Just hoping it's the start of early labor since it doesn't seem to be relenting much.
@whataboutscience I was feeling that last night too. I hope it's early labor at this point (41+3). I'm going today for a non stress test and another doctors appt so I hope the BH have created some progress!
@sboston06 Getting up and they are back to every 3 minutes, but if I sit, they slow down. Talked to my doctor she didn't seem concerned she said BH or early, early labor. Did not sleep much though. Baby come soon or give me a break please.
@sboston06 Any progress? My contractions have never stopped for more than 30 minutes since last night, so I'm on little sleep and usually they are more often. If I'm walking around, I can have 3 in 5 minutes and I have to stop, hold something, and breathe. Then I sit and I might not have one for 15 minutes or so. They're making me crazy though! Definitely passed bloody show, so hoping that means soon...
@whataboutscience glad you are making some progress!! I don't think I am. Mine are uncomfortable and I definitely have to concentrate and breathe through them but I wouldn't really call them painful so I hesitate to think they're the real deal. The closest I've gotten is every 7 minutes, so either way I'm just in this waiting game hoping things pick up! I hope this is it for you though
The insomnia was too real tonight. I swear I might have gotten in 2 hours of sleep in the past 7. Between the heartburn, hip pain and shortness of breath I'm not too sad that today is my last day of being pregnant.
@whataboutscience I was so hoping to check in today and see a birth story from you! Glad everything turned out the way you wanted!!
ive been timing contractions this morning and am getting them pretty regularly every 10 minutes on the dot. I shouldn't get optimistic too soon but hopefully my body is gearing up!
Not sure what to think. I had my third membrane sweep yesterday. She said I could have some spotting and that it was normal. I never had anything after my first two but yesterday around 7 at night I went to the restroom and noticed my panties had a light brownish pink on them. When I got done going pee I looked in the toliet and saw a little discharge the same color, a brownish/pink. It cleared for the next couple trips to the restroom over the next hour and then it started up again later with that same color. Now its the next morning and it kind of dripped out when I went to go pee. Im just concerned now because I never experienced this with my other two pregnancies. Im second guessing if its discharge or discolored amniotic fluid. I guess I should give the doctor a call, but just wondering if anyone else had this before?
I initially thought bloody show and the first time I noticed it was definitely with a thicker kind of discharge, but at times it's pretty thin. Sorry to be so gross!!! I'm kind of thrown off by the brownish color, although I have read that it could be light brown. The doctor who did my membrane sweep yesterday said she did it kind of aggressively, so I'm sure she probably just stirred things up down there.
@lolomommy1 They do say the bloody show can have a brown tinge in it from old blood that was blocking your cervix. If it is that, labor could start any time. Usually between a couple of hours to days. Hopefully it is that!
@LF93 I think you might be right! It's turned to a brighter pink now. Hopefully this is my body going into labor naturally so I don't need to be induced Monday.
@lolomommy1 I lost my mucus plug Monday evening around 9 and woke up to early labor at 1 am. About an hour later I started having bright red bleeding and delivered Tuesday night at 41 weeks. Hopefully your body is starting something.
I'm hoping it's something but I'm not convinced. I think maybe it was just from the sweep because now there is nothing. This experience has been so different than with my other two pregnancies, just goes to show that they are all different!
Today I really thought I was in early labor. I had contractions every 7-10 minutes from around 5:30am to 2pm. Very regular and predictable. For the most part that was when I was at rest though and they tapered off once I went to my hair appt. Now they're picking back up when I'm resting again??
Either way I'm going in tomorrow for an induction and I hope my body keeps up with contractions or has started dilating!
I pick the last day of my pregnancy to be super emotional. I'm currently dropping off my dog to live with BFs family and I can't stop crying. To make matters worse some of his family is over. I hate crying in front of people.
@setosh I would be the same way even if I wasn't pregnant. I can't even leave for vacation without bombarding our pet sitter with instructions and that's just a vacation. But I'm sure a lot if it is just that tomorrow is a big day and everything is going to change. That's a lot to be emotional about and rightfully so.

All of this. Yes. The longest I've been away from him in the past 3 years was a week and I missed him so much! Hopefully I can see him soon. Also when they watch the LO we will have to bring him back home since he's not good around kids. Thank you! That made me feel better.
I just had my bloody show this morning. Hoping that since my due date is tomorrow this is a sign that things are about to start happening sooner rather than later.
I woke up at 11pm with what I assume we're contractions. They started in my back and then wrapped around my body. I thought maybe I pulled a muscle when I rolled over (pregnancy nonsense) but it pain was intermittent at about 30 to 45 seconds. After a bit I got up out of bed, wondering if maybe I just needed to go poop since that's all I seem to do lately, but nope. By the time I got back to bed the pains had subsided. Only totaling about 30 minutes or so.
Stop teasing me body. Either we do this or we dont. No halfsies.
