@chavezrd2 A bunting is like a baby sleeping bag or swaddle sack. So those costumes have a sort of sack-like bottom that you just slide the baby into and usually a hat to match.
Im having the same problem with sizing. I found a couple cute costumes, but they're so expensive! Plus I'm not sure how I feel about non-coordinating outfits for my boys on their first Halloween. I don't really want them in the same costume, but I may have to go that route at this rate if I DIY them up as mummies.
Love all the ideas! I'm searching for some coordinating outfits with the 3 older kids and then the baby in the carrier. Not sure yet, any ideas are appreciated!
ETA: it's super cold outside in October where I am, so no cute flimsy costumes.

I am about 90% convinced we'll do 80's aerobics instructor. I brought it up to DH and we came up with doing coordinating outfits and that is too funny to pass up! If we do it, I have to thank @MrsVoorhees for the awesome idea.

One year I was a crazy cat lady—most comfortable costume ever. I went to the thrift store, found a Christmas turtleneck sweater, a long, ugly skirt, I wore mismatched socks and fuzzy slippers. Warm & cozy at the costume party we went to! Best ever.
