As elections are approaching, curious to see where we all fall on the political spectrum. Making a poll rather than discussion for anonymity for those who prefer not to discuss. But also feel free to comment.

  • I only hold a green card at the moment so I'm not eligible to vote. I am able to apply for citizenship sometime next year, however. None of the current options are good, in my opinion...
  • Flaming liberal here. As far left as you can get.
    Same!

  • I tend not to care as much about who the candidates are, but more about who their advisors might be. I mean they have people pretty much telling them what to do all the time.

  • I generally lean moreso left. But there are certain things I'm middle-of-the-road on or even right leaning. I'm convinced though that both candidates are the anti-Christ soooooo yeah.

  • Left as left can be!!
  • Mostly left as well. My thoughts on this years election  - its all just one giant race to the bottom.
  • I'm at least hopeful that since Hillary is a career politician she has a really good pool of resources for advisors. The thought of Bill as first husband makes me LOL though.
  • Anybody far left who hasn't seen Trae Crowder should YouTube ASAP.
  • what are the odds that the majority of this group so far is displaying left? I find that very interesting. There has to be a correlation somehow because Trump and Hilary are running pretty evenly for the most part right now.

    Lefty left left.
  • @jennlynn777 maybe ages? Or women in general?
    I also think it's interesting!

  • I feel like in most circles it's so uncool to be a republican that some just keep quiet about it.
  • Anyone seen to new campaign from Hillary's Camp against Trump?

DH and I saw it last night we both agreed it's simplistic yet powerful.   That being said, we both are hoping this is as far as her 'attack' campaigns go, because we're sick of hearing Trumps attack rhetoric as it is and can't imagine having to stomach two campaigns of it.

I tend to lean right but I still have a hard time wrapping my head around Trump as POTUS.... But I also will not vote for Hillary.  So this is a tough election for me.  I have some thinking to do!
  • I don't agree with the platform of either party. I will probably vote Libertarian this election since it is the most viable 3rd party (even if they are a bit wacko!).  I like the Libertarian stance of when there is an issue, they first determine if the government should intervene and what level. I like the idea of limited government, but some Libertarians really come across as anarchist. They should move a bit more center as the party matures.

I've just started learning about the Libertarian party and it really interests me!  I'll have to look more into it because lately I really don't agree with any party either.
  • I have always leaned left but this election sucks and I have been thinking 3rd party libertarian as well. I think I am pretty done with the 2 party system we have currently have.

  • I need a Hillary/Bernie ticket. They won't let independents vote in primary in my state. Jackwagons!

I don't want either candidate. I especially don't want Hilary to receive the permanent recognition as the first female president. Gives us a badddddd label.
  • I just can't believe that Trump might actually be president...

It's like when we had The Terminator as our Governor (The Govinator) in CA. But sooo much worse. Global shame...

  • @MrsVoorhees I'm terrified, too. Even more so when I think how he could become president right after I bring a new person into the world. Not to be dramatic, but it makes me scared for my daughters' futures.

  • @runningisrad I feel the same way. I love Bernie, and definitely don't want to vote for Hilary, but I like to think of it as voting against trump instead of voting for Hilary. I would much rather vote for Bernie if he's still on the ticket, but if Hilary gets the nomination, voting for Bernie would be like throwing away your vote.
  • @ajn092 - We had Jessie Ventura in Minnesota.....I feel your pain. What an embarrassment!!

I would still vote for Bernie, but I'm too scared that votes for Bernie only end up favoring Trump because most would be pulled from Hillary. I'm just upset with how all of this is going, and although I'm very far left - I work in a more right-sided office and bite my tongue all day long.
My whole state is Red (Tennessee) and I have to bite my tongue A LOT at work. I've hidden coworkers from Facebook because they share pro-Trump stuff all the time. Then I give them the side-eye at work because I'm like I KNOW WHO YOU ARE VOTING FOR. Grrrr.
