Hi am 11+6 weeks today and am not showing, i dont know why i keep fussing over this but i think i should show a little. Rather than bloating am just feeling fat lol
I actually don't think it's possible to show before 12 weeks for most women, and many don't show until way after that. The uterus is still behind your pelvis. Nothing to worry about! I'm 11+1 and though I look a little pregnant, it's all bloat and tummy, not the baby.
I'm almost 11 weeks and I feel like I'm showing but as PP said, it's the bloat. I can't wear my favorite pair of jeans anymore so I know my body is changing but yeah you don't get an actual bump until atleast second tri usually.
************* First BFP: 12/16/13 EDD: 08/23/14 Baby BOY born: 08/29/14
I have to say, I disagree. Everyone's body is different. If you Google baby bump 11 weeks, you'll see that many women are showing at this point... I wouldn't be discouraged though, no one body or baby is the same.

Anatomically speaking, the uterus still sits behind the pelvic bone so the baby is tucked away.
Women can show this early but it's not baby, mostly bloat. I'm rocking a solid blump and have been for a few weeks but I know it's not the baby yet.
I could see this graphic being correct for a first pregnancy, but it's different after each child you have. Your uterus grows faster and bigger after each one. I'm 10 weeks tomorrow and already feel organs pushing upward like my previous pregnancies. i was 32 weeks pregnant this time last year and my doc said things are going to happen faster and my uterus is in memory mode so I'll be showing sooner as well. My stomach does this weird thing when I'm pregnant and try to flex (it's hard to explain) but it only happens when I'm pregnant and didn't happen in my last pregnancy till around 20 weeks, but is already happening this time. So I think it's possible for your body to start showing people you are pregnant earlier than standard if you're on baby #2 or 3.
We have two sleeping beauties in heaven. Jack gained his wings on 09/02/2016. Kali gained her wings on 07/28/2015. They will be forever missed.
I think the key point here (and potentially my theme for the morning!) is that it can be counterproductive to compare pregnancies. I've been going to a prenatal yoga class, and at the beginning we all introduce ourselves and say how many weeks we are. The first day, I saw a woman who didn't seem to be showing yet, and thought to myself "Oh yay, I'm not the only first tri person here!" Well, when introductions came, it turned out she was 20 weeks. I think there's no way to predict when you'll start showing a non-blump bump until it happens, and either way it's not a sign of anything bad or good. It just is.
I'm 10 weeks with my 4th pregnancy (3rd take home baby hopefully) and yes I am showing. Of course I know baby is only an inch. But my uterus has doubled in size, other organs are moving out of the way, and there is extra fluid. Even much later in pregnancy, it is never 100% baby. Nor should it be if you want a healthy pregnancy.

I have had multiple pregnancies. (Sometimes I started out smaller and sometimes not as small) I am 11 weeks today and I am not showing. I am a bloated so my pants are uncomfortable towards the end of the day. I am actually less bloated than my last pregnancy.
I think it is completely normal not to show at only 11 weeks, 12 weeks or even much later. Be careful not to keep comparing yourself to others when it comes to showing or weight. We are all different. There will always be bigger and smaller women.

Correct. There is a difference between baby vs. bloat, but I guess one could say they are "showing" with bloat. I guess it all depends on what you mean by showing
But it is not just "bloat" by 10-12 weeks. Bloat implies just extra water retention, similar to how you would feel if you had a really awful case of PMS or ate a giant meal. By 10 weeks the uterus has grown significantly, pushing other things out of the way.

For a while my bloat/big ute/whatever pooch would disappear completely if I was lying on my back, and now it doesn't (and that position hurts now), and it's more pronounced during the day, whereas before it would be bigger in the evening.

I'm 11+6 today and although I've heard that most don't typically show before 12 weeks, I cannot deny this belly. I'm pretty petite at 5'2" and I have a short torso so it seems like my midsection is just so pronounced, especially the lower region. I did put on 8 pounds (not embarrassed about it!) so it's probably mostly bloat and extra fluff but last night, I had some major stretching, tingling sensations going on in there - so much that pressing on it was sore. Something's growing and I'm going to say it's my baby.

This is what my midwife told me as well. I'm on my third and she said that this pregnancy my body is basically going into autopilot kicking everything off faster and more intensely than my prior pregnancies. I'm already experiencing round ligament pain and am only 11 weeks. It's ridiculous because my uterus and baby aren't even heavy yet, but everything is relaxing out faster and sooner which means the pain is coming much much much sooner.
I've done some google "research" about uterus growth in subsequent pregnancies and didn't find any charts like the popular one that gets posted, but most articles indicate that your uterus doesn't usually go completely back to it's original size (general consensus is that it goes back to about it's original 1 month pregnant size) and it still starts growing as soon as you're pregnant. So, the chart isn't very accurate for subsequent pregnancies. Another factor is that all your insides have stretched out before so they stretch out easier and sooner than before making it even easier for the uterus to expand faster.
I couldn't find much of anything credible about how dramatic the impact is beyond the second pregnancy.
That said I have no idea how much of my belly is actually bloat and how much may be faster/sooner uterine growth (albeit vastly empty given the size of baby). What I do know is that people have started making the aww look at your belly you're showing comments, so it at least it looks like legit showing and not just like I'm getting a little pudgy.
I'm 11 + 3 and look/feel huge. I can't even zip my pants up all the way anymore, I've fully transition into maternity jeans. My doc says it's part because I wasn't working out, so my abdomen wall was already week and part because I have such a short torso, there's nowhere for anything to go but out! And also, part bloat. I think it's part genetics too, my mom said even with her first she always popped at about 10 weeks, which is exactly when I started not being able to button my pants.
But honestly, who knows, and who cares? I'm just happy I have a baby in there!

Sometimes it is. My pants are loose in the morning or if I am finally able to use the washroom. In the evening my pants are too tight. In my last pregnancy I stopped feeling bloated at the end of first trimester and my pants for better for a little while longer. I am 11 weeks and I have been pregnant multiple times so my body knows what it's doing but I still don't show yet. (When I was very thin I showed even later)

This. At almost 11 weeks I think that I definitely look pregnant and it is very noticeable especially if I am wearing a tighter shirt or dress. Who knows how much of it is bloat or uterus or just fluff and does it even matter? Fact is I'm pregnant so if I look that way to the rest of the world so be it, regardless of how far along I may be.
Everybody's different. This is pregnancy #7 and hopefully baby #3 for me. My uterus is almost always measuring smaller than it should be with my pregnancies which isn't a good thing. Im 10+5 and it's totally bloat. Im a lot heavier at the start of this pregnancy than with my other two children so I don't know if that will change anything. I felt like I was showing from 12 to 14 weeks with my daughter and then it went away and I was almost 30 weeks and woke up one morning with a bump that didn't exist the day before. I just "popped" which I'd what happened with my first pregnancy and my mom said she was the same way.
I look like I'm showing (like more than halfway through the pregnancy huge) but I know it's just a combo of bloat and being overweight to begin with. Everyone from random strangers on the street to my DH and mom have been commenting how it looks like twins. I don't think so and think it's weird how everyone thinks it's cool to comment on it.

This particular comment makes me so upset. I got this response with my first pregnancy. People don't know what's going on inside of you - many women were pregnant at one point with twins and only one ends up being viable. I know people don't mean to be jerks but that comment can be really upsetting to some moms! Not only that but also the fact that they are making mention of your size which is totally uncool anyways.
5th pregnancy (3rd baby- I hope) and I am showing. I am very petite and like many others have stated, your uterus knows what to do and typically stretches sooner than in your first pregnancy. Many dismiss it as bloat, but if not for all of the hormones and your growing uterus- would the bloat be there? For this reason, I say I am showing. My pants still fit- for now.

11+2. I'm in the awkward "don't necessarily look pregnant, but definitely look chubby" phase. I don't have a cute baby bump yet, but my tummy is bigger than it was 6 weeks ago for sure.
@GlitterDragon it used to be very common for the boards to start HDBD when people hit 2nd tri but I've noticed a lot of boards have started sooner than that this time around. Guess it's what the majority wants to do?

I'm fluffy so no bump here for a good long while but geeze all my pants are strangling me. It's hot as fuck and pants are so overrated!
I hear ya. I haven't worn pants in weeks. I'm not totally "out" yet, so I have really only been wearing stretchy skirts with blousy tops or peplums. The tank top I really wanted to wear today just exacerbated the blump (love/stealing the term, @Xstatic3333 !) and I'm not quite ready for the double takes/ questions/ gossip at work.

I've noticed my stomach is hard so I know things are starting to move around pregnancy #2), but I have a fluffy stomach anyway so I'm not expecting to actually look pregnant until into the 2nd tri. I feel bloated as hell by the end of the day though.
A friend of mine is pg with #3 and is about 8 weeks and definitely looks pregnant already. I couldn't believe it.

Already chunky here, but I am definitely sporting a blump. In the right clothes, it actually looks pregnant and cute, otherwise, too many cheeseburgers. Our family and close friends know, so no one has commented, but my 5 year old was snuggling up by me yesterday and was poking it asking if I had a baby in there. I asked her what she thought and she says, well, maybe you're just eating too much. Lol. My son whose head comes up to the blump when he hugs me is also acting like it's a little different but hasn't said anything.
I say go for the HDBD, it can just be bloat and blump, who cares, lol
