@Renee1105 (lurking from Dec 16) with DD My supply started to die around 9 months, so I supplemented and then fed completely with HIPP- I loved it! It was expensive but I felt so good about what was in it. The only tricky part is that sometimes there is up to a 4 week delay, so you need to plan ahead a bit (I used baby's only if I needed to get by). I'm having twins this round and if I can't supply enough breastmilk, they'll be getting that as a supplement for sure.
I'm glad this is here. I'm planning to FF this time from the beginning. My daughter never latched correctly and it was EXTREMELY painful for me. The pain lasted much longer than everyone said it would. I tried a shield but it was still terrible. I dreaded feeding her and was in tears all the time. I feel like I really missed out on her first few weeks and I swore I wouldn't let that happen this time. We used the Target brand formula for her and it was fine.
I'm going to try and breastfeed again but if it doesn't like last time, I'll be formula feeding again. My first the only one that didn't give him gas was the Gerber Good Start. The hospital gives us Similac advanced ready to feed which we liked and kept in the diaper bag for on the go as it's very convenient. It's just expensive so we didn't use it all the time. I like the Phillips Avent bottles. I had the classic last time but will switch to the natural on the off chance that the next baby will breastfeed .
