Sorry ladies! I snoozed yesterday and forgot TBT! So I'll make it #FBF just for this week (Flashback Friday). Next week it'll go back to Thursdays.

I haven't done a Halloween tbt pic yet, so here's one.

Halloween 2013! My friend (Rafael) kissed a guy dressed as a "SHART" that night...and we made fun of her on our way home, saying "you kissed a guy dressed like a shart!" and she had no idea what "shart" meant. That night I also drank too many rum cokes and ended up throwing up at a Staples parking lot. #stayclassysandiego

This is one of my favorite photos. This was in Tintagel, England in 2008. I was over visiting (not yet) DH and his family. We went down to the coast with his family before jetting off to Prague (where he ended up proposing).

Although it looks like it, this photo wasn't staged or posed at all. DH took it and I still can't get over how beautiful that scenery was. But, what I remember most is the fact that I walked about 10 miles in those flip flops that day.

This is my Dh and me at the Highland Wildlife Park in Kingussie, Highland, Scotland in July 2009. I love this picture of us. I got to spend the summer with DH and his family that summer (was still a teacher at the time). I've not been back to Scotland since, and DH left in October of that year for the US. We are hoping to go over for a cousin's wedding in Aug. 2017.

This is not a great picture of me, but it is a pretty good memory. This is my husband (boyfriend at the time) and me just before we officially became lawyers (being admitted to the Bar) - eight years ago. That was my red hair phase. We look so young!

Being a goofball at my bridal shower in 2013. I'm planning on wearing the same dress to my baby shower (tried it on a couple weeks ago - it still fit - we will see if it fits a couple weeks from now).

Sorry... I'm always going to be that jerk on this thread that can't choose just one pic to share!
Today's flashback comes to you as the best day of my life thus far and also the best party I've ever been to.. our wedding! DH and I made everyone both laugh and cry during our vows (including ourselves), spent an entire evening with all of our favorite people and partied like no other! It was everything I ever wanted my wedding day to be.

In this pic, DH and I had made an agreement not to smash cake in each others' faces. I pulled an audible. He was trying to get me back

At the reception, EVERYONE danced and had the best time! There's one pic where you can see this huge pile of heels in the background from all the girls taking their shoes off so they could keep dancing.

This picture is from Halloween 2014. My husband and I dressed up as Vincent Vega & Mia Wallace from "Pulp Fiction". We had never done a couples costume before but got invited to a 90s movie themed party and couldn't resist. We both wore wigs and I got to splatter him with fake blood which was fun. The cigarette is one of those fake ones that releases one puff of smoke when you blow it (I'm a nerd).

Me and my dh on my 21st birthday, we spent the day at the Philly Zoo. We had gotten engaged 2 months before. P.S. This is one of those 'I wish I was as fat as the first time I said I was fat' moments because I distinctly remember thinking I was fat. Not that you can tell, but I am wearing jeans and its July. I haven't worn shorts in 9 years...

This is me 6 years ago in ICU after almost losing my life to complications with the lapband surgery. I used to look at this picture and be bitter and pissed off at the world. I was in a dark place for a long time. But now I see the person I used to be and I've turn the negative into a positive. I lost over 65lbs on my own and worked so hard to become healthy and in better shape to have a baby. It was a long struggle and lots of tears and pain but I can't be happier with where my life is now. I truly believe that things happening for a reason. And I'm truly blessed to be here today and preparing for the next big adventure!

Okay this one has a bit of a story background. I was having a really hard time finding myself attractive. Even though I was in a loving relationship with (not then) hubby, I just couldn't see myself as beautiful. I decided to take boudoir photos, because I felt that a lens wouldn't lie. I asked the photographer to keep the photoshop to the bags under my eyes (I was up super early), but that was it. I didn't want any blemishes or rolls to be changed. I didn't take the pictures to show people in order to get compliments, even though I did share them with several people and even made one my fb profile, but I did them to prove to myself that I am beautiful. I had the shots done the day before my brother's wedding (so my hair was dyed and cut that morning and I did my own makeup when I don't usually wear it).

@sportiegrl1213 Good for you! You should feel so proud, and never forget that feeling. You worked hard, for you, and no one can take that from you.

And @LauraPCOS you're gorge! What a great idea, and it took a lot of courage to go through with it...

We women have such a hard time liking ourselves, and do so much to try and change who we are for others, when we're already amazing as we are. I, too, struggle with confidence and self worth, and probably always will, despite how hard I try to grow and get better with it... I'm in a much better place these days, but it's always kind of in the back of my mind. My biggest hope is to be a better example for my child, especially if it's a girl, so that they may know how to let love in and never question their worth.

All that being said, my #fbf is to just over a year ago when I married this guy! We met when I was 29, he was my first boyfriend, and we married almost 4 years later... after he helped show me I was worth being loved, just for me, which included all my quirks and curves and anxieties. This was the happiest day of my life, surprised I was actually a bride, surrounded by so much love, feeling beautiful in a way I didn't think possible and knowing I'd found my person I didn't even know I was missing.

The hubs and I last fall while back in our college town for homecoming. The pic is dated Oct 10, which is my due date. Becoming parents again wasn't even on our radar at that point.
