What are you doing for day care? We are using a nanny who watches children in her home. DD will be the only infant, along with her then 1 year old and a 3 year.
Is there a wait? No wait
How much is your weekly care? It's $100 per week, so $20 per day. I'm hoping to change my schedule to 4, 10 hour days once the baby is here so I have a day with her. It would be nice if she would then only charge me $80 per week. But either way, I'm happy with $100.
What are you doing for day care? I only work every Monday and every other Thursday during the work weeks (and every other weekend). We live in a very, very rural area but both DH and I work closer to the city. There are a bunch of home daycares I could choose from (all reputable) or we could go to a center closer to our jobs.
Is there a wait? Nope
How much is your weekly day care? Home daycares are about $45/day, centers are probably $60-ish/day.
Wow I can't believe the huge variation in weekly costs! The places we've looked at here in CO are around $330/wk full time, and only one had a waiting list for January (when my maternity leave will end).
Maybe I should see how much a nanny would cost but I don't really know where to start!
@jennielu speaking from experience (as a nanny in CO) childcare centers are probably more reasonable for you. Average when I nannied in the Boulder area was $15/hr. You can check care.com to start looking and getting ideas!
